and also where has twinkle gone?

i had a vision last night i had baby before my DH could get to me
i wish
and i had called him stanley no idea where that one came from wasnt even in my choices

pigley gettin positive feelings about you

you guys are now going to think im weird but for the last 30 years i have been to numerous phsycics mainly my parents took me me there as i used to freak them out with the things i told them
they sent me away and got me to do phone links which are basically guessing game via phone to someone else answering questions
over a number of years
turns out i have 97% pre-cognition
never been able to do this for myself only other people
thats all im going to say as people usually think im weird for doing this and scares others
im inundated with e-mails and letters asking me things all the time its crazy
hope you ladies are ok today
going to have my breakfast and insulin now

disneystar · 18/06/2008 07:24

you can now officialy say oh no disney is a weirdo

mcchesers · 18/06/2008 07:55

disney - that's really amazing. Considering we use such a tiny part of our brains anyway, there's certainly a lot of evidence that leans towards "second sight" abilities.

My mom hasn't even dared to speculate. She said "when the apple is ripe, it'll drop" and "that baby knows what to do". I hope so, I wanna cuddle him.

Poly- you poor kid, hope he's feeling better soon. I found this RLT called "expectancy tea" from a company called
www.todaywasfun.com/expectancy.html
It has a bit of peppermint in it and I just add a drop of honey. Then when it goes cold, just pour it over ice. (ice is my thing in preg)

Pigley - Hope you are feeling better today hon! Sucks to be sick when you are this preg.

Sweetkitty- "not long now!"

I missed my aquanatal class last night. My mouth is totally swollen from yesterday's surgery. Doesn't hurt, but it does feel like a wound. DH made squash risotto last night and it went down really easily. Braces are coming off in ten weeks time woo!! In the meantime I look like an abused mum with a big fat upper lip. I'll pretend that it makes me look like Angelina Jolie. Aye, right!

sweetkitty · 18/06/2008 08:05

Morning everyone, am sooooo tired this morning, had to get up twice to pee and once as DD2 was wet and upset and wanted me. Also woke with DP at 6am. Found when I got up for the toilet at 2am that I couldn't get back to sleep either. Anyway sun is shining today which is better than last.

Going to drop DDs at nursery then I have some things to do in town so will have a waddle down there for a bit.

poly - I had a second degree tear first time (nowhere near as bad as a third) and second time I had nothing despite her being 3lbs heavier. Put it on your notes that you are scared of tearing again, I did and MWs knew this and slowed everything down to allow me to stretch. I know what you mean having mixed feelings about being pregnant, this is my last time too. I agree about weights they are so out, I got told DD2 was 7 1/2 lbs last time and she was 9lbs 3ozs.

Minnie - glad your DP is doing better

butterfly - yes apparently diamorphine is difficult to get ahold of last time MWs told me I would have a better chance getting it out in the street (!) no I have never had it, had not time with the both of them and I don't want it not because I am "hard" but because it can make the baby groggy and difficult to feed not that I won't be begging for it once those contractions kick in.

kaz - I don't mean to be funny just that I know how easy it is to get into a cycle of taking them, I used to get loads of migraines and would pop Migraleve/Anadins and Solphadene like they were Smarties. I had to wean myself off them when I got pregnant with DD1. I know what you mean though anything is better than constant pain. Won't be long until we all have our babies and are feeling a whole lot better.

Right best be off and get ready, have a good one everyone x

Morning all. Got the in-laws coming for a visit today so am making banana loaf. Yum.

Fingers crossed for all these babies who seem to be on the way into the world right now. And for the rest of us waddling our way round.

disney - that's cool. can you tell be if I'll ever have a DD?! Oh, and i like the name Stanley.

Have a lovely day all.

Kaz1967 · 18/06/2008 08:49

disneystar people think I am odd because I knew my best friend was pregnant. With her first I had lost a baby not long before and knew I was not but had all the symptoms of being pregnant. I had morning sickness, and felt her braxton hicks contractions she had a massive amount on my birthday a few days before he actually arrived. When she went into labour I had a migraine. With her second I went off the same foods as she did (told her my taste was up the spout and could not eat this and that before she told me she was the same) and could tell which way up and where he was kicking. Her daughter I just went off foods pesto and anything in a sauce mainly. Best thing is she is getting some of my symptoms We also seem to know when the other one is down or having problems and ring them Mum does not get headaches like she did but I also used to get her headaches It was odd I was in Bristol at the time so would not know until I spoke to her in the evening or the next day but my head heart/felt odd and I knew the pain was not mine.

I know you can't have these feelings on demand but I wish you would have one to say I am going to move before this little one arrives LOL

Kaz1967 · 18/06/2008 09:02

sweetkitty LOL unless a new back comes with the baby most of my pain will not change. But yep I am aware you can get into a habit taking them and that they can actually cause headaches. I know there was one point I was self medicating with them to control my anxiety but I am a nurse we are terrible with things like that ;)

Right time to sort breakfast (done blood sugar starving must eat) and go pee in that flippin bottle really worried I am going to forget and bugger the results up.

EEC · 18/06/2008 09:18

morning everyone. One day closer!

These last few days have had a really hard an uncomfortable bump. Having the usual strong BH (lots) but seems to be hard most of the time inbetween too. Started on the raspberry leaf tea a couple of days ago (only one or two cups a day). Could it be this, or do they not work that way? Anyone know? Alos been taking iron tablets for 6 days, but am assuming not that.

Disney - what an amazing gift. I guess it must be a pain sometimes.

Hope all LO's with illness and bumps are on the mend.

Libra1975 · 18/06/2008 09:37

Mcheesers - glad it doesn't hurt and interesting to hear you used your hypnobirthing techbniques - which one?

Mini - Abbie is adorable and glad things are going well.

kaz - how is the headache today?

abk - welcome

rumpel - there is a LUSH product (I promise I don't work for them!) called buffy the bumpy slayer (or something stupid like that) which exfoliates and moisturises and is great for bumpy arms and easy to use in the shower.

Heffa - you ok? random throwing up does not sound good.

ButterflyM - I am feeling pretty good now as well, I think it's because the end of work is in sight (2 days!) and then just 4 weeks to the baby, and I have started to make peace with the labour thing. how did the nipples go

Minnie1 - hope the date comes thru asap.

Disneystar - are you the person who predicted the blokes 3 million lotto win?

Poly - thanks for that recommendation, it was actually the TT one I was looking at as Mothercare have them half price at the moment.

Last night I did an interesting exercise with my DH which is part of the hypnobirthing course and about releasing concerns about the birth, you both have to answer questions such as "Are you sure you can both weather additional concerns of
raising a child" under a marriage and relationships topic and "Have you the support you need?" Under medical care.
It's all under the title Releasing Limiting Thoughts:Working together which sounds very new-agey but it was an amazingly useful exercise.
If anyone is interested I could probably scan it in and send it (breaking copyright I'm sure!). Gillythe Kid have you done this yet?
I really feel now that I am paying the NCT to find friends, all the really useful stuff has come thru the hypnobirthing classes (and here ). Of course I realise the NCT have to concentrate on a
wider range of topics but I really don't feel they have done much to concentrate on relaxation during the birth.

Has anyone here been to physio led sessions rather than MW led or NCT? What did you cover? (interested as my mum is physio and taught anti-natal classes a long time ago and hers seemed to concentrate on relaxation techniques for birth)

pigleychez · 18/06/2008 09:37

Morning all,

Disneystar- Spooky! Watch this space then!!!

Slept right through last night which was fab! DH just text me to tell me he woke at 3 instead of me! Joked about it being his turn for the night feed instead.

Thanks for thinking of me Mchessers.. Feel abit better today but woke with a headache.

Being a first timer this is all new to me but bump feels soo different the past few days. Almost like either baby has had a growth spurt or lost all of the fluid surrounding it (or both!) as in the past few days bumps feels really lumpy!...can feel EVERY movement and bone!

Dh commented last night on how much my bump has dropped lately.
Have our second antenatal class tonight... going to learn how to breathe!

Libra1975 · 18/06/2008 09:38

Pigley - slept thru the night!!! and

I think the bumps drop when the head engages?

pigleychez · 18/06/2008 09:40

Libra- I was shocked too!

When i saw the MW 2 weeks ago baby was 2/5ths engaged , seeing her tomorow so see if its engaged further since which im pretty sure it has

Libra1975 · 18/06/2008 09:45

Do you feel all awake and NORMAL?

Cool, my MW says she THINKS it's head down but not engaged yet (lazy baby, takes after its parents). However all 3 MW who have had a feel have said they only think it's head down but no-one is certain and my next appointment isn't until 39 weeks which if it isn't head down will be too late to do anything about so I might ring up and say I want a second opinion but I don't want to be classed as a worry wart but I also want to do everything I can to avoid a c-section. *sighs

disneystar · 18/06/2008 09:51

yep it is a pain sometimes i can go through my normal day and suddenly say to dh get me a pen and paper write this down and he does
next day or after exactly what i wrote on it will be announced on the news
to be able to be diagnosed if thats the right word i had to write all the predictions down for years ahead i did that and 97% happened
2 weeksa go i told my dh to go visit his relative it was very urgent he doesnt question he hes been with me a long time
he went to visit her lucky for him he did
she died 5 days later he was happy he listened but enough of my morbid details here
no i didnt predict lottery guy
anyway of to hospital for my son he has his chemo today so im in for it a day of tears and me being a horrible mummy
we have a good nurse now sh she takes over to give me a break if i want one which i normally dont
its not me going through it its the least i can do is to stay with him and be there
19 days today for me
i still think my baba is going to suprise me though when i at least expect it
pouring with rain here and dismal and grey
depressing weather indeed!!!!

Libra1975 · 18/06/2008 09:57

oh DS hugs for today, sure your son understands it's not you.

pigleychez · 18/06/2008 09:58

Libra- This LO has been head down since about 30 weeks! Have had its bottom sticking into my ribs!

I felt the head engaging from the pressure and sharp pains down there.

Disney- Hope you DS is ok today.
A similiar thing happends to my nan. Her friend said she had a Red Indian spirit guide and that he had said that my nan needed to go and visit her sister in Ireland. My nan did and a short time after her sister died. Very strange!.

mummypig · 18/06/2008 10:19

Good morning ladies and hubbies! Just like sweetkitty I am feeling very tired today. I have done the absolute bare minimum - breakfast, made ds1's packed lunch and sent him off to school. Now I am on mumsnet and ds2 is watching Power Rangers .

Minnie, ds2 has been seizure free since the end of March (which is such a relief) but his seizures started mid Dec. So that's over 3 months before his drugs and dosages were properly sorted out. I think we were lucky in that respect, because some other people have found it takes a long time to work out an effective combination. However, before that ds2 was having loads of seizures every day, in contrast to your dh. It may well be that your dh just had an isolated seizure and it's not epilepsy in any case.

EEC yes I feel my bump going hard quite a bit. Not sure if it's linked to the RLT or not.

Rumpel/Libra1975 I love that Buffy bar from Lush too - although I find I get through it quite quickly so if I used it all the time it could get very expensive.

Libra1975 that hypnobirthing course sounds really good. It's really worthwhile thinking about the realities of raising a child because otherwise it can come as quite a shock to new parents. From what I recall of our NCT course before ds1 they were really focussed on the labour - very little about parenting - but I still ended up thinking 'so what do I really do to cope with the contractions?' I didn't even make lasting friendships from the antenatal group, but that may have been because we came from quite a wide area, and it wasn't very easy to meet up afterwards. Instead I made some great friends in the postnatal course that the HVs did in the local clinic, and I'm still in contact with 3 of them 6 yrs later even though we've all moved house since then.

And I do hope your little one is head down, libra1975, so you get the birth you want.

Disney, thinking of you and your son today. [hugs]

I'm sure there was something else I wanted to respond to but can't remember now. Anyway lots of good vibes going out to all of you and I'm waiting to hear announcements from minkus and isaidno...

gillythekid · 18/06/2008 10:26

Hi Libra we did an exercise similar to yours which incorporated emotional fear release. I didn't bother with the NCT classes, too many horror stories and talk of pain/tearing etc!
I fully understand that women who have birthed in the conventional way find it impossible to believe it can be any different, that's why I like talking to those who've subsequently tried hypnobirthng after previous traumatic births. I think the fear/tension/pain syndrome should be taught as a matter of course in all NCT/Parentcraft classes!

AggiePanther · 18/06/2008 10:37

Morning everyone.
I really can't keep up with this thread as I only log on every couple of days or so and by the time I've skimmed the posts there are gazillions more! You really are a chatty bunch

disneystar - I hope it goes well with your DS today. Also I was thinking about your vision - I'd said on here that we were going to call our DS stanley so maybe that's where the name came from ....I certainly hope it wasn't a premonition that I'm going to give birth before DP gets here ...he's working away a lot over the next 10days and I'm 37 weeks now!

I'm empathising with all of you with SPD and those not sleeping. My physio's given me crutches now too because the pain is so bad -I had a couple of falls last week too as my pelvis is so unstable
I'd love to sleep through the night but the most I get is about 3 ours at a time.

Good luck to isaidno and anyone hoffling pineapple

AggiePanther · 18/06/2008 10:38

'hours' not 'ours'

gillythekid · 18/06/2008 10:53

Aggie, we should round up all the SPDers and start a pregnancy display team of shufflers, hobblers, crutches and wheelchairs, we'd give the red arrows a run for their money!! I've been timing my moans and groans and they're about 8 minutes apart now so we could use that as background music.
I'm sick of people looking at my crutches and accusing me of overdoing it at the extreme sports etc. I think I need a plaque with a brief explaination round my neck.

mcchesers · 18/06/2008 10:55

Libra- I did the rainbow breathing thing where you vibrate each individual colour of the rainbow and then you find a colour that you like and stay there. I paid stupid money to have this done, but at least I wasn't in the NHS chop shop dentist with all the other people who had their faces cut and teeth knocked out. Having my hand held and knowing my dentist would walk me through it was worth it. I'm a chicken shit at the best of times in the dentist.

DS- Chemo is hard enough for big people. Your DS won't be mad at you and I know it's hard to keep it together, but he will appreciate your hugs and cuddles when it's all said and done. Having a good nurse counts for a lot!

Pigley- Sounds like we are in the same place. I had the achey weekend while my LO's head was engaging, but I find I can breathe better and have less pressure on my stomach, so the acid reflux is backing off and i can sleep longer. The race is on!

Trespass · 18/06/2008 11:29

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying the sunshine.

disneystar hope all goes well at hosp, dreading my name coming up in your predictions too early! lol

my tummy feels 'numb' all around the belly button area, is that normal? only way I can describe it really is like an anaesthetic wearing off (tooth wise). also like EEC am wondering about the rlt, how many should we drink per day and what really are the effects?

can't wait to hear from isaidno, hope she's ok, and every1 else, esp those with spd, how painful.

t x

pigleychez · 18/06/2008 11:54

My god im sooo lazy! Ive only just got dressed.

Trespass- No sunshine here. Just overcast. Just put washing in the machine so hope it doesnt rain.

sweetkitty · 18/06/2008 13:39

hey ladies just been reading a thread about loads of babies being born when it's a full moon, apparently it is true

Anyone up for it tonight?

I have never had a babies head engage my two have always stayed high right until labour, hasn't affected their ability to shoot out though. Maybe my pelvis is uncomfy for a little head.

Have bought some lovely pink wool today, am determined to knit a baby blanket before this one comes out after the disaster that was the cardigan

disney - your poor DS hope things go as well as they can today. I have premonitions in the form of dreams. For example went into work one day and told the team that I had dreamt one of them was pregnant, now she was 40 and childless so it wasn't expected, few weeks later she announced she was 16 weeks pregnant, she was in shock that I knew. Have had loads like this including seeing two lines on a test 4 days before getting one. Have dreamt 3 times in this pregnancy about holding a boy, having a boy and shouting at DP to get blue babygros (!!) You think this little girl was hiding a secret? Hope not the amount of pink stuff in this house.

Went a walk down the street today and ouch, don't want to stay in all the time but going anywhere is so painful, DP is off work few days next week and wants to take DDs to safari park, suppose I can just sit in the car.

Sorry bit of a self indulgent post.
