Hi,
My name is Diana Waha, and I'm a local Speech and Language Therapist and an MSc student at Birkbeck (University of London), training to become a Child Psychotherapist.
I'm reaching out because I need your help to find a very special family to support a vital part of my clinical training!
What is the Unique Opportunity?
A fundamental part of my training involves a unique, non-intrusive process called Infant Observation. I am seeking a pregnant family in Greater London who would be willing to allow me to observe their baby once a week in their home, after the baby is born.
This observation is non-judgemental, passive and non-intrusive. For about an hour each week, I will be an observer and witness your baby’s development. I won't take notes in your home or act like a casual friend, so you can simply be yourselves.
Why is This So Valuable?
The Infant Observation process is invaluable for my development as a future Child Psychotherapist. It gives me a profound, direct understanding of:
- The formation of early relationships and the parent-infant bond.
- The emergence of a child's physical and emotional development in real-time.
By participating, you would be providing a meaningful and effective way for a local family to directly support Child Mental Health Training.
Interested in Learning More?
I am currently looking for a pregnant family in Greater London who is interested in learning more about this rare opportunity.
I have attached my flyer with more details (you'll need to share your actual flyer here!).
If you, or someone you know, might be interested in supporting this crucial step in my training, please reach out!
