i am 40+3 with third baby and was just wondering do you always get a show before contractions begin? i did with dd and ds and am having what may be strong bH or mild labour pain but nothing else...

Not always -- I never have with either of mine.

oooh how exciting, had show at home with first after contractions started hotting up a bit, no show with the 2nd one. Good luck. x
