Well, just got a bfp... unexpected but a lovely surprise... 2 under 2, am I mad?!

I had 2 under 2 7 years ago, my 2 older ones are now 10 months apart and I wouldn't change it for the world! Congratulations xx

Chellooo · 28/12/2024 19:01

Thank you! It's gonna be crazy but I'm excited!

Thack · 28/12/2024 19:23

Congratulations @Chellooo ! My nephew's are nearly exactly 2 years apart. They have a great bond, and big bro really took to the role. How is 1st trimester treating you so far?

DollyGx · 28/12/2024 23:00

@Chellooo congrats!! Hope you’re feeling ok so far. We have been discussing baby no.2 recently also, exciting but scary 😅

Chellooo · 28/12/2024 23:11

Seems to be going OK very tired but I can feel the dreaded nausea creeping back. I had that hyperemesis last time so praying it doesn't return

Leeanne23 · 30/12/2024 13:10

Can anyone recommend a different kinds of milk please , my baby was on cow & gate following on 2 I changed it last month after his 1st birthday to cows milk but as soon as he drinks cow milk he comes up in a rash straight away, so I then tried green milk and the same again comes out in a rash, so I thought I would lactose free milk a try and again his come out in a rash , is there anything can try for now? His being referred to an allergy clinic , as my daughter was lactose but she outgrew it. I'm just struggling to find a milk that suits his needs and my doctors are useless at the best of time , sorry for the long paragraph, I'm going crazy! As his not settling very well with any milk ♥️♥️♥️

Both my boys love that and the soya version. The soya version has a pic of a giraffe on the front xx

Yeah I've seen that also but my little one is allergic to soya as well as milk 🫣 common cross allergen

Milk and soya are common cross allergens. If milk makes sick, soya will in about 50% of cases. Oat totally different but some children don't react well to the higher sugar content and ferments a bit so they get gassy.

Leeanne23 · 31/12/2024 10:54

@FlyingHighFlyingLow which milk should I try the monkey one? I'm going stir crazy , cause I don't want to keep upsetting his stomach, but my doctors aren't open at the moment 😭 xx

Monkey is oat so worth a try. Might have sugar issue but mine is fine on it.

Also remember it takes up to 3 weeks for the protein to leave their system. So if they're reacting bad to the milk/soya they may continue having symptoms for like 3 weeks after you stop giving it to them depending on cause of reaction.

Edit to add doesn't have to be monkey one. Oatly barista and oatly whole are also fine as long as you get those 2 from fridge section as the long life of those doesn't have the added calcium.

Leeanne23 · 10/01/2025 16:51

Hi mumma ,

I'm going stir crazy right now , my little one came up in a rash just over a week ago but haven't cleared up, my doctor is telling me a allergic reaction but I'm not unsure , it's very itchy & dry and scabby as he keep scratching it making him bleed now 😭😭 there is more but won't let me upload anymore can any one give me advise what to do next xxx

Oh @Leeanne23 what a shame that does look sore/itchy. Does he have eczema? If so could it be a flare up of that?

@Leeanne23 i think take him back to the GP it looks sore and itchy 🙁 maybe try some oats in his next bath? I used to use that on my wee girl when her eczema was flaring. She had a flare up recently on her torso and the only thing that brought it down was steroid cream (hydrocortisone). But not sure if your wee one’s is eczema it’s hard to say, I think if it’s making him restless defo take him back to the gp though. Good luck x

We've been prescribed some cream , but every time I change him he cries and scratches at it to the point he will bleed , I asked to see the GP today but they had nothing xx

Hello everyone,
How are you all doing? It feels like it wasn’t long ago we were were pregnant in the hot weather!

How are your little ones doing? Our DD is full of beans and her personality is really starting to show, I can’t believe she is soon 1.5! The sleeping really could improve though, she wakes up at least twice a night, just random little cries but it’s enough to keep me awake for hours, I'm slowly going insane. Has anyone got any tips or will I just have to suck it up? I think I remember that my son didn’t sleep through most night until 3 but I don’t think it was this bad..

FlyingHighFlyingLow · 02/05/2025 20:16

Mine still didn't sleep a stretch longer than 2 hours at 12 months old, the nursery thought I was kidding when I said he'd had a good night as only woke up 4 times instead of 8 😅.

Baby has better nights and worse nights. Better nights usually wakes up 3 times now but no longer feeding. I'm back at work full time so DH is taking his share! Sometimes he's up every 10/20 mins for hours and we are wrecked.

But he's such a joy and talking, running around, singing and doing actions to nursery rhymes and causing general chaos.

Spareincoming · 02/05/2025 23:36

Hello! Gosh where has the time gone!
Hope everyone is doing well.

I’m overjoyed that LO is finally becoming a person in his own right; he loves pointing at any type of animal, however all animals are either “seep” (sheep) or meee-owls (cats.) I really love this stage.

Sleep is hit and miss, we either have a brilliant sleep-through night or one with 5 plus wake ups. No middle ground. I have a few work trips coming up and I know DH is going to struggle more than I do.

We’re still working with the speech and language therapy team, as well as having some physio as there’s been some missed milestones but we’re getting there steadily.

Hi all! I know crazy that we have almost 18mo’s now! Sleep is also very up and down for us! She’s still in my room with me, and ends up in my bed at some point 😬 and the last 3 days she didn’t nap at all, have to say she handled it like a trooper and was not cranky and bedtime took 5 mins! She seems very young to drop her nap but she has always been very low sleep needs! I’m currently 14 weeks pregnant so the lack of sleep is haaaaard 🫠
