My 3 month old crib rolling & not rolling back’

Hello!

My 3 month old (today!) has been rolling the past week. She’s super advanced and wants to get going clearly! The problem is she’s rolling in her cot into the corner with her head pressed up against the top of the crib! She loves sleeping face planted bit on not sure whether it’s because she struggles to go onto her back again.

Is this the time to put her in her big girls crib? It won’t go in our bedroom so would I be ok putting her in her own room?

any other mums with early developers please help, she’s so active and ends up in all sorts of positions and scares me!

Thanks !

Congratulations! She sounds super cute. NHS advice is to keep in your own room for the first 6 months. It is a bit frustrating when you have to keep rolling them back, but she will quickly learn to roll back herself. If she’s not upset and assuming she doesn’t have cot bumpers or anything like that to get tangled up in then she is a ok to sleep in whatever position she ends up in.

Aww until I read your thread I forgot my little one did this! He'd get stuck like you say, in the corner - usually with bum in the air and snoring. More often than not he'd be like a starfish on its side, one arm and leg in the air against the wall/side of crib

I was cued into his noises during the night and my eyes would be open before he'd even moved but I just used to let him do it then when I knew I wouldn't wake him, would just lay him back down flat

Totally normal x

Thank you for the reassurance! She’s such a cutey- bright as a button. Has been sitting up the past few days from lying on my knees then batting my hand away when I try and support her… I think I’m going to have a little madam on my hands!!

This is what she’s doing!! So glad. I find myself awake for ages just watching her!

Our daughter went into her big cot at 7 weeks old although she was in the same room as us until 6 months.

Yeah I'm not sure what she's in? Things like cribs and moses baskets can be dangerous if baby is rolling so I guess it depends what she's in. She still needs to be in the same room as you for another 3 months.
She sounds cute!
