Morning all - just popping in quickly while DS has a nap...
Roca - yep, two scans this week. It's just the way it's worked out; the first one is the NT scan that we've had to arrange ourselves (it's not available on the NHS here) and the second one - the following day - is my dating scan.
As for going from two children to three, I have to admit that I've had a fairly easy time of it because the age gap between the first two and the third one is massive. My eldest is almost 17 now and the second one is 11, so they're both pretty much self sufficient and can get on with things themselves. They've been brilliant with the little one though - they really dote on him and want to be as hands on as possible. They love to help me out at bath time for example by getting C out of his clothes while I run the bath and stuff. So it's been fine so far.
Having said all that, I'm absolutely crapping myself at going from three to four! By the time this baby is born, C will be just 18 months old. I've never had children that close together before and I have no idea what to expect! So I'll be asking you and all the other ladies with LOs close together for some Top Tips because I won't have a clue!
CriCri - excellent news on the scan! Glad it all went so well and to get some odds on gender is fantastic! I would love a girl this time around but obviously I'll be just as happy with another little fella!
serendippity - ouch! Sounds painful! Hope it ease off soon for you. Would a maternity support belt help at all, do you think? I had some SPD last time (more to the milder end of the scale though) and I found my support belt to be an absolute life saver! If the pain persists or gets worse, it might be worth asking your GP if you can be referred to a physiotherapist.
dozy - hope all goes well on Friday. I'm sure it will and you'll feel loads better for having talked things through. Don't forget that you can always come and chat with us here too, if you want.
Right. I'd best get off and sort some laundry out before C wakes up again. Catch you all later!
