August 2024 Mums to be

Mummyandthree · 07/12/2023 18:11

Anyone else recently found out they are expecting and due in or around August?

Just had a positive test this morning which came as a shock as I already have three aged 11, 9 and 8. Not sure how I feel about it as yet but I remember how comforting I found having other women due the same time in the past.

Happy to set up a Facebook group if that's easier :)

Hope everyone is OK!

I’m hoping to be a second time mum in 2024. We only BD once two days before ovulation as I was then away. The two week wait I’m in now. I think my due date might be August if positive.

Colleenbrown9229 · 09/12/2023 18:17

Hiya yep I believe I'm 5 weeks . I have two older children 12 and 10 year old. Still kinda don't believe it with the positive tests. First appointment on the 19th.

Susie93 · 09/12/2023 19:59

Due early August with my second… first is only 1. A lovely surprise but still not sunk in

AH2023 · 10/12/2023 15:36

Just got my BFP and am currently 4w5d. 1st baby :) terrified but over the moon!

NelliePig · 10/12/2023 18:27

Hi! Got my Positive test today too! Only CD20 so I'm only about 3 weeks, so tentatively joining!
I have a 3 year old, who will be 4 July next year!

Unfortunately I'm high risk this time round due to medication and having an autoimmune disease so I don't think I'll be relaxing any time soon.

Congrats everyone xx

SV12 · 12/12/2023 11:28

I also found out on the 7th December and am around 4 weeks now, first baby.

It's taken a while to get my head around everything!

How is everyone?

Whisperdoodle1 · 14/12/2023 20:41

Hey, I'm 5 + 2 roughly. I'm not exactly sure when I ovulated. I have a 9 and 11 year old. Not sure how they are going to react haha x

Colleenbrown9229 · 14/12/2023 20:49

@Whisperdoodle1 I also have a 9 and 12 head old I can't wait to tell them and to see their faces! It's going to be priceless.

Moonriser · 15/12/2023 21:22

I’m due 16th August 2024 as it stands and I’m 5 weeks as of today! Besides myself with excitement!

I had a pregnancy loss 2 years ago, despite that I’m so positive. A lot less scared than I thought despite the obvious fears.

Has anyone had any symptoms?

So far, my boobs are so sore it is unreal! (That is how I knew I needed to take a test)
Also having lower back pains- though who knows if that is related, as it is so early on.

Congratulations everybody! My heart is with you all!

HyggeTyggeDotCom · 16/12/2023 17:02

Hello, very tentatively stepping in. Just got my BFP it’s VERY early, only 3 weeks. I’ve had 2 miscarriages this year, both 5-6 weeks in, so I’m keeping everything crossed this one sticks. I have some stretchy pulling pain type cramps very low down but was due AF yesterday so tested on the off chance

NelliePig · 16/12/2023 17:56

Updating! Bloods done yesterday with a HCG of 281 so looking good. Scan booked for the 29th estimated 6 weeks ish 😊

Moonriser · 16/12/2023 21:46

@HyggeTyggeDotCom So sorry to hear you've had to go through that. My heart goes out to you. Crossing everything for you :)

MummyAuts · 24/12/2023 19:39

Hi all
Tentatively joining at 6weeks pregnant
I have a 12 year old (13 in August 😂)
I have had 2 losses with my husband our first loss was around 5weeks in November 2022
Then we lost our Son Elijah in June 2023 at 16weeks pregnant due to me having an infection which crossed into my uterus and he caught it 😞
We literally only started trying this month (expecting it to take a little while) but it didn't and here we are.
Can't quite believe it but we are under a consultant and have a scan booked 2nd Jan (around 7weeks) and we have our wonderful bereavement midwife aswell.
I've had some nausea, sore boobs and extreme tiredness so all good so far. I'm going with the age old can't drink I'm on antibiotics over the festive period luckily I'm not a massive drinker so won't be too scrutinised haha
I hope we all continue on this journey 🙏 🙂

MummyAuts · 24/12/2023 19:40

Moonriser that's my sons birthday 16th August 😀

Lexiflan · 28/12/2023 17:37

Hey girlies! I hope you don’t mind me joining, i found out i was pregnant with DC2 on 24th November after having a MMC for the second time in May this year. It wasn’t exactly a planned pregnancy but just thought what will be will be as it took me 3 years to conceive with my DS who i had on 6th july 2021 (i have stage 4 endometriosis) so they will have close-ish birthdays after an early scan on the 23rd dec confirmed ill be due on 3rd August so currently 8+5 today. Definitely more anxious this time around as i know what to expect with the sleepless nights, a very active toddler and whatever else postpartum throws at you. I’ve had some cramping, very sore boobs and bad nausea aswell as being sick a few times but mostly wretching 🤦‍♀️ i had worse sickness with my son though so im counting my blessings so far 😅 definitely on edge about how big this baby will be as my son was 9lb2 via c section, hoping for a VBAC this time but not looking forward to the idea of pushing a big baby out just really don’t want to deal with c section recovery again 🫠

Whatshouldbemyusername · 05/01/2024 22:01

Hi ladies.

Just wanted to jump on. I am due in August. Possibly around 15/16th august. I have my booking appointment in a weeks time so will know more.

I have a toddler who will be turning 3 on 10th August. She's going to be an amazing sister!

I had really bad morning sickness with her. Daily till 14 weeks. So far it's bad some days and none some days. It's not really throwing up but more heaving this time. Am just grateful that it isn't that bad. Grin. I do have the odd lower back pains too.

We didn't check the gender when pregnant the last time and will not be checking this time round. But since signs are abit different am guessing it might be a boy? Who knows! We shall wait and see when bubba is here :)

olynessa · 21/01/2024 06:41

Hi everyone! Pregnant with Baby #2 after delivering my stillborn at 26+2 in 2022. I am doing most of my follow up with an obstetrician in France this time around as couldn't be seen in the NHS until much later and private care without insurance was too much and we wanted to be on top of things given our history & my current health issues.

I had my booking appointment at UCLH recently and will be consultant-led there from 16+ weeks. I love that hospital and I just pray that c-section recovery and the postnatal ward are ok... (obviously last time we got all the bells & whistles and were in a side room given our issues).

This pregnancy is turning up to be as tricky as the previous one but praying for a better outcome this time around. So far:

  • caught an infection (currently treated via antibiotics thank God),
  • nausea is horrible (so horrible that I got medication - I never had it THAT bad previously),
  • glycemia is not the best so currently controlled with a diabetic compliant diet and daily glucose check
  • the odds aches & pains inc very sore breasts

I was told I will get a C-section this time around (due end of August but was told induction at 37 weeks more likely so early August). Really anxious about the C-section recovery on a busy postnatal ward but praying for excellent anesthesia, early mobilisation and the opportunities to get home at the earliest opportunity.

Mummy2823 · 02/02/2024 19:54

@Whatshouldbemyusername snap my period dates give me a due date of August 15th!!
Having my dating scan next week so a confirmed date
Same as you, really bad sickness on my daughter and practically nothing this time around

Whatshouldbemyusername · 06/02/2024 23:30

@Mummy2823 congratulations!
I did speak abit soon. Morning sickness escalated and with my daughter is was heaving this time I'm actually getting sick. Still nothing as much as my daughter but was hoping to go Scott free this time. Why is morning sickness a thing! Ugh.

I have my first scan on Thursday so will know my due date then.

How old is your daughter

Mummy2823 · 07/02/2024 08:01

@Whatshouldbemyusername
Aww no way, I'm still okay thankfully!
My scan is also Thursday!! 😃😃
My daughter is 10 months 🥰

Whatshouldbemyusername · 08/02/2024 13:07

@Mummy2823 aaaaw that's sweet! Let us know what your due date is after your scan :)

Ok so got my due date! It's 8th August and baby girl turns 3 on 10th August! Somehow I am 14 weeks as per the scan today. That's 8days ahead of what the last day of my period was showing.

What's everyone's due dates x

Mummy2823 · 08/02/2024 13:40

@Whatshouldbemyusername aww that's a nice gap. 3 year old can really be involved.

They gave me due date of 13th August. But I'll be having an elected c-section so will be a week or so before that. But then again my daughter was 4 weeks early 🤦🏻‍♀️

NewtothisFBK4921 · 23/02/2024 09:57

Not sure what everyone's partners are like but just to say my hubbie just did this great email course for preparing to be a dad, unsurprisingly he's not super into reading pregnancy books (!), but he loved this. I think it was called born ready course, he found it from an insta page fordads_ and newsletter that's his mate's on. Been trying to get him to do some kind to reading for ages so so happy he's actually done it! Anyone else find their partner was desperate to have a baby but then once you got pregnant they've been a bit rubbish about preparing?! Feel like we do sooo much and they just get to enjoy the ride!

gem71 · 07/03/2024 14:33
