oh I'm dumb...DVDs play on my laptop. DUH! Dizzy my first question when I tour the hospital soon is "do you have wi-fi?" If not DH and pop over to his office (a few blocks away) and upload pics to web. We have a HUGE family to satisfy.

I took in music first time but it just annoyed me to be honest, watched tv and dozed once epidural in place - personal choice though

Hi girls! Hope everyone is fine and feeling well.

I had my m/w appt on Thurs and got to hear the baby's heartbeat! Was so chuffed, I could've listened to it all afternoon. She found the heartbeat just under my ribs on the right side, and when I told my friend this she looked a bit confused - she didn't think my uterus would be that high yet so now I'm confused too! Does anyone know how that works?? Am I normal?? (Well, in context of where baby's heartbeat is!! lol) Yesterday I got the biggest kick I've had so far and subsequently bored everyone in my office talking about it - they can't wait for my maternity leave!!

SazzlesA - This is my first baby, so can't comment on c/s or v/b but I would say that surely whatever is going to have the best outcome for you and the little one is the best thing all round. Some people really annoy me with their opinions about what is right and what is wrong. I read Mylene Klass's book the other day (which took about 3hrs may I add - not that full of stuff really, but quiet funny!) and she said that you can't tell by looking at a woman, what kind of birth they've gone through, so why does it matter what way you have the baby or what drugs you use. Very good point I thought. (Could someone help me down off this soapbox please? )

alittlebitshy - You poor thing! You tend to think the nausea disappears and you won't have to think about it again. Hope you feel better now.

P.S. hospital bag??? why not 'hospital wheel-around suitcase'???

Ok, while we are talking about being organised, I have to come out of the closet and admit I am about the most superorganised (read anal) person there is. So, as soon as I know the sex of this baby (next week) I will be premaking all the announcement cards ready for the big day. I did this last time and it worked really well. I made the cards (adorable white felt cloth nappy with tiny safety pin on blue cheked sqaure of fabric on the front of card) and did the inside bit on the computer leaving space for date, time and wieght. Then all we had to do after is fill in and print off, stick into the cards and post in the already labelled and stamped envelopes!

Ds was very cute this evening and told me I was his 'beautiful sweetheart' . Now zzzzing peacefully. I'm off to put my feet up and start on series 2 of 24. AND I will have a glass of baileys. sigh....could this evening be any nicer!

IlanaK dear you have given me yet another wonderful idea. I didn't get around to doing formal birth announcements with DD. I'm a computer geek so just did internetty things. This time though I may attempt to do something celebrating DD1 & DD2.... I'm thinking DD1 would like to announce DD2's arrival and have them both pictured....maybe where DD1 holds DD2 for first time in hospital . {{Twilight scribbles in mental notebook.}}

TS.. i had a real thing for lemons a couple of weeks ago. hot water with lemon juice, lemon cheesecake, bitter lemon mixed with ginger beer (this was delicious). the list goes on!

is it really time to sort out bags and things now? hmm actually, saying that i dreamt last night that i was in the hospital having just given birth and they were asking for my baby bag because they needed something out of it. I didn't have one with me because i hadn't received their list and suddenly alarm bells starting ringing on the ward, all because i didn't bring a bag. Ok, so maybe my subconscious wants to pack a bag soon even if my conscious self hasn't even thought about it!

ooh and whilst wearing one of my new homemade maternity tops on Friday, I got stopped my a similarly pregnant woman in the street and she asked where I bought it! After I stopped smiling we swapped numbers!

Still feeling sick. Not as bad as ysterday but worse than i had been a for a couple of weeks. Not impressed at all.

Ye gods - hospital bags. noooooooooooooooo. Not yet!!!! I may think about things like that after i've had mt 20 weeks scan ( a week tomorrow!!!), but I am so nervous of buying anything let alone packing anything. My mum and dad are going to mend (a spring fell off the chassis) and clean up my big pram (don't ask - i have a selection of buggies lol) for me, but i wonlt let them take it yet just in case. Next time i see them i'll let them take it!!!!!!

I was all busily planning which matty top to wear to church today, when i suddenly remembered that it's church parade so i have to go in uniform (am a Rainbow leader) so will just look fat not pregnant in the lovely jumper....

i know what you mean about being nervous of buying things. i saw some lovely bodysuits last week but didn't buy them...just in case. i'm so scared of jinxing things. our 20week scan is only 3 days away, i'm so excited!!
