IlanaK I agree with Buckets. Don't worry about the quality of your laundry for that horrible 4 weeks. No one will know if you failed to wash your sheets and swim things will only rot if you don't rinse them for about a month (i know this personally from my years teaching swim lessons). Cooking however might become amazing fun...paper plates and lots of sandwiches, consider it pinic every night.

Buckets traveling cross country in a camper is on our future to-do list. I did that when I was young, my family and another family. We travelled to Disney World. It was actually a lot of fun.

Still waiting to walk with my head high without liquid dripping freely from my nose and would like to stop wetting myself with every cough. I'm really a beautiful sight !!

Heya guys, catch up in abit, just want to pick your brains for a second - just gonna paste from another thread -

Just been cooking my dinner and I put the wrong eletric hob on - I put the back one on which had a stack of trays on it. Didn't notice for ages , I smelt an odd smell but presumed it was the pie - I got it out, cut it up etc. etc. all before I noticed a huge trail of smoke coming from the hob. I took me ages (seemed to anyway) to get teh trays off and into the sink as I was scared it would set alite as the bottom one was full of fat. Feel abit woozy as it was pretty intense smoke for awhile and pretty toxicy smell, normally I wouldn't worry - just stick my head out the window but should I be doing anything being pregnant? Probably just being paranoid! TIA x

Morning gals, hope you are all ok today? Ds was up 4 frikkin times in the night. He's nearly bloody 4. At this rate the baby will be sleeping better than him from day one.
Ds has always been a crap sleeper, so I look on it as a positive - it couldn't really be much worse when the new one arrives!!

We're going to buy ds a 'big boy' bed which he can choose himself, as an incentive to stay in his own room. At least I can fit in it then if he does end up sleeping in our bed

I'm off to the NCT nearly new sale today, helping tidy up afterwards so I get free sandwiches and cakes natch.
I had the most fantastic night's sleep ever! Dozed off in the bath so was in bed by 9pm and only woke up when DS shuffled in just before 7am. Still v pale and spotty though, put some make up on today but still too pale for my concealer!

we told dd1 last night about the baby and she's spent the whole of this morning wondering if its a boy or a girl and blowing raspberries on my stomach to make 'baby' laugh

Captaincaveman The postman came. Got them. thanks. got them on. They're nice. Not as "loose" as i thoguht, but I think that a 16 would be too big so i'm keeping them . I think I was expecting something different. They're the right length though - the best fitting thing length wise that i've got this pregnancy so that is cool.

I was asleep by half 9 last night!! 10 is a late night these days!!

We had the most wonderful Friday night [sarcasm face]. DH & I took DD to the hospital at pediatrician's request for lab work. She's had loose stool on and off while she's been on this UTI antibiotic. However starting at 2:30PM yesterday loose turned ugly. Between 2:30PM and 5PM she'd visited the potty 20 times. Now explain to a 4 year old why we have to go to a strange place to poop in a weird cup. Fortunately we went after hours so things weren't as busy as they could have been and the lab tech gave us loads of freedom. It took 2 hours and a walk to a far off corner of the hosptial to use a nice, big, clean, quiet potty. Once home it took an hour for her tummy to quiet down enough to sleep. She's still asleep now, thankfully. We see the peditrician in a few hours for some answers. I am totally frazzled as it stormed most of the night, still sneezing and coughing, but thanking the scheduling gods that this IS her spring break. Will touch base later, hopefully with excellent news.

Well I spent £12.50 on a whole heap of newborn and 0-3m baby clothes, all bright unisex colours ... except for a gorgeous lilac gingham Monsoon 0-3 outift. Too good a bargain to pass up even with 50/50 boy odds and I'm a sucker for gingham. Really feeling pg now I've bought newborn stuff!

lol buckets I had a look at some stuff yesterday too but will not indulge for a wee while yet

went on a massive walk with girls this morning and am now shattered! dh watching rugby all day, dd1 pottering about herself and dd2 napping which is what I should be doing rather than fannying about on here

best friend arrives from dublin tonight and at this rate she'll be sleeping in with me and dh as the spare bed is covered in ironing lol

Any good suggestions where I can buy a decent cabin bed for ds? A midi height type thing. Traipsed round the shops today but saw very little of interest.....

Hello August Ladies
I am fairly new to MN and have been lurking for a while and thought I should get in there and post!
I'm 31 married to lovely DH for 3 years (in Vegas!! Was so destined to be on this thread!!)and am curently 16+4, due 26th August with baby no1 after a very long 19 months of ttc. Has investigative tests, my results a bit low so thought I would need treatment but all it took was an HSG and was pg 2 weeks later. Was so delighted and shocked that did 9 pg tests !!
Have been suffering with hypermesis (severe pg sickness) since 5 weeks and its still going srtong but learning to cope with it a bit better. Have been signed off work for 4 weeks but not consecutive, keep attemping to go back and being sent home after being sick for 2 hours in the loo!

Have read back a few pages, you lot can really talk!!
Loving so far Dizzy the name guru, crikey where do you get them from!! Brilliant!
Really feeling for you IlanaK with all that building hassle, not what you need at all. I would find it really stressful, am at bit of a cleaning/washing fiend so sympathise.

We haven't bought anything yet but done lots of browsing, its all a bit bewildering with the choice of stuff out there.
