when i was 7 weeks and i had a very heavy bleed and passed a few large blood clots. the beeding has now stopped . and everything is ok i was just wondering if anyone has experienced this as the doctors said it could have been a number of things, an implantation bleed or a twin?
thanks

When you say 'everything is ok' do you mean that the bleeding has stopped or have you had a scan as well to show a 'viable' pg?

hi kittywise, my name is gemma and i saw ur message on here on weds, so ive joined up to ask/tell you that it has happend to me too.
i found out i am pregnant for the 2nd time on mothers day just gone, and thought i was 8 weeks gone, on tuesday eve i i had tummy pains nothing major just like period pains so i got up to go for a wee and there was blood in my pants, i sat down and 2 large clots came out and continued to bleed so i call the doctor and an ambulance came for me, my mum and neighbour were here and they wisked me of the the general hospital for check up,id passed another clot at the hospital too, they said they its more than likely that id had a miscarrige,so they sent me for a scan the following day and she found a 5 week pregnacncy there????????
so i am so very confussed now as i dont know wat is going on and they wont know till 14th march when i have another scan.reading your experiance has given me hope that my baby will still be there and that i hope i will go full term.x

Hi Gems25, I have just gone into my 8th week. 2 days ago I had period type pains and then several hours later bled lightly (mostly brown blood) with a few clots. It was still happening yesterday so I rang my midwife and she said it was probably just implantation bleeding. She said not to worry unless you are having pain and bleeding fresh blood at the same time.

I'm having a checkup on Friday and I'll try and get a scan organised. I'll let you know how I go.

ladies, am now 20wks after very heavy bleed at 12wk (although I thought I was about 8 ) and again at 15wks with continous bleeding inbetween.

bleeding during pregnancy is not uncommon and although always deemed as a threatened miscarriage up to 24wks can occur without absolute negative results!!

if its brown blood, its old and thats fine, it could be implantation bleeding/placenta attatching or taking over or, as in my case, membrane seperation

red blood is the alarm bell and just make sure you seek advice from your EPU

wishing you all well and remember relax and put your feet up where possible as it REALLY does help

Ladies, sorry to say I miscarried today. Fresh blood, severe stomach and back pain started on Sunday morning and carried through till today.

Trying to be positive though as the timing of the pregnancy wasn't the best. Will probably try again in a few months.

Good luck with your pregnancies.
