I was just wondering how many are there of us . . .

I am due end of June and love my antenatal thread as there is so much good advice there but thought it may be nice to share a little with others who are new to this whole thing too.

Anyone interested?

over bump ones. I think i am hanging low so anything under bump really irritates me!

bitofadramaqueen · 30/03/2008 19:13

thanks - I will look into those then.

bitofadramaqueen · 30/03/2008 19:26

oh, another couple of q's paro! How does the size compare to your usual size? (I'm finding all this just buy in your pre-pregnancy size all a bit rubbish as have bought mat clothes in all sorts of sizes). Also when you say over bump, are they denim all the way, or are they like pretendy underbump jeans with a stretch panel to go over bump? I see noppies do both styles.

Parofleurmapu · 30/03/2008 21:19

mine are size L im normally 14 - 16 in size
Size M did fit but i like my trousers loose round thighs etc so got the L
They are not denim all way up but strechy material fabric which goes really tight again when you wash them but trousers dont fall down at all when i wear them

bitofadramaqueen · 30/03/2008 22:05

Brilliant - thanks Paro, that's really helpful. Now I just have to see if I have any pennies left to spend on jeans after a bit of a mammoth shop last pay day .

Kaz1967 · 30/03/2008 22:16

Rocky has done nothing but want me to eat today. I have spent the whole day trying to find something to fill that hole and stop me feeling hungry. To night they told me to go buy some chips well Rocky was out of luck the Chinese at the bottom of the road was closed so they have had to make do with breakfast bars cos I refuse to cook

thegreenfairy · 31/03/2008 14:41

Afternoon all
Thought I would gatecrash from the June 08 antenatal thread as also a first timer.
Must be psychic as bought more jeans this very lunchtime. Too big now for my Next underbump ones, and so sick of my overbump Dotty P ones falling down (rubbish elastic) so tried some adjustable underbump ones (with the side buttons) at Blooming Marvellous and hoo-bloody-ray they fit!
Didn't really want to buy any more maternity clothes with two months to go, but it was bugging me sooooo much - the rest are going on ebay as soon as I get home!

Anyhoo, here is am, added to the list

Here I am even. Duh

Squarah · 31/03/2008 15:01

hello all!
Only jeans I can find that don't fall down are my non-mat ones so am just living with pulling my Topshop ones up mostly!

All well here - lots of kickings, few aches, but energy levels and optimism high all round. Am loving being preggers.

My main focus at the moment is doing research into what to bother buying (or not!) and seeing how much I can blag from other people! Got a feeding pillow, breast pump and baby bath from freecycle so far - so pikey but all free!

bitofadramaqueen · 31/03/2008 19:23

hey greenfairy - let me know how you get on with your blooming marvellous jeans and whether they past the five hours wear test.

Hi Squarah, and at anyone who can still squeeze into non-mat jeans. I was doing fine with my non-mat ones (with the help of an hair band and bump band) until about a month ago, but almost overnight I couldn't fit them much past my knees . Been assured by various friends with kids that this is common and I didn't become freakishly wide overnight.

There are a few good threads on here about what's essential/having a baby on a budget. If you've not come accross them shout out and I'll post some links.

carrieHD9 · 31/03/2008 23:13

Hi all, Squarah when are you due? No chance of me getting my non-mat jeans above my knees, am green with envy! Though must say really liking being a 'pregnant lady' when out and about- although have gone from eyeballing other people's shoes and bags to following women with prams trying to work out which one they have and how it works!

AHLH, yes, I reckon we're pretty close, we were offered Barnsley also but are booked into HRI= couldn't believe it was top 3 on that recent survey, was prepared for the worst... looking forward to being on maternity leave round here- lots of teashops and walks- although think there must be more to mat leave than that!

Kaz1967 · 01/04/2008 00:10

Have put a shocking pic of the Lump that is Rocky on my profile not sure they are very pleased about it as they are now doing a dance under my ribs

thegreenfairy · 01/04/2008 12:51

Afternoon all
Blooming Marvellous jeans still holding up (literally) and are extremely comfy. I only pray they last me the last two months!

Squarh I think we cross posted as I wasn't on the list you put yourself on, so am trying again!

makecakesnotwar · 02/04/2008 15:59

Hey all- haven't been here for a while, but nothing to report. Was looking at our list and it occurs to me that we must have some graduates (or some very worried doctors!!)....[just trying to get my name nearer to the top of the lit.Now that I am practically housebound with SPD I'm wishing the days away!]

TJuice · 02/04/2008 16:04

good luck 7monthsplus!!!! so exciting

OP posts:
makecakesnotwar · 02/04/2008 16:55

7monthsplus- if you're due in seven days doesn't that make you eightmonthsplus?!!

ruthosaurus · 04/04/2008 15:19

Good luck 7monthsplus! Btw, anyone, Dotty P hidden elastic waist jeans wide leg jeans seem fine after a few days' wear, don't dig in or fall down, and noone at work has spotted that they are 'funny' jeans! I think I may have gotten away with it...
Now all I have to do is get bras that fit properly.

makecakesnotwar · 04/04/2008 16:05

Good luck with the bra hunt Ruth....I had a bloody nightmare as my boobs were 36F before I got pregnant...I dread to think how they'll be once my milk comes in..suspect I might need a surgical appliance!!

Kaz1967 · 04/04/2008 18:30

makecakesnotwar Bra's are a pain I was a J before I got pregnant by 12 weeks I was an L it still fits just but not sure for how much longer and for

carrieHD9 · 06/04/2008 11:39
