Hey! I'm due #4 (#3 for DF) in Feb 2023. I've just got my BFP. This will be our only child together, and our last. I'm super excited to be here and would love to talk to other mamas at a similar stage.

My EDD based on LMP is 27th Feb, however 2 of my 3 children were overdue and so I'm expecting that will be the case this time.

Welcome :))

Thanks for all the crossed fingers everyone. I’m just trying to get through today and see what the weekend brings. Thankfully I have a very good support system around me, although my mum is on holiday and all I want is a cuddle from her.
I only hope I’ll be back with a good update

I am having such a week.

The clutch went on my car (owned it 3 months, second hand), so had to pay to get that towed to the garage I bought it from, who will fix it free of charge apparently. However it arrived there Weds and they've not looked at it yet.

I then snapped my key in my door Thursday and had to pay for a locksmith to come out. He fitted a new lock and had to adjust the door slightly. I started to feel a bit run down.

Then Fri am, my DS came in.. he had thrown up in the bathroom sink as he has a tummy bug.

Fri PM.. DD's grandma gave her a cheeky Rona test, not a sick bug, but in fact Rona.

And now I am poorly. P.sure it will also be the rona, though I have no LFT's to test it. 😂

What a week! I'm going to have to rearrange my scan aren't I. :( It's Weds.. which will be my day 5, so if I test negative I may call and see what they say. But I was looking forwards to the reassurance.

Saying that I might not have a car by then! FFS.

I went back for my follow up scan today and pleased to say my little bean was seen with a strong heartbeat! It was amazing to see. By my LMP I am 7+1 but they dated me today at 6w4d which means when I went last I would have been 5w4d so that explains why they couldn’t really see much!
Really relieved but now feeling like I need a daily scan to keep reassuring me lol!!

@GoT1904 according to LMP 27.2.22 but from yesterdays scan I believe they said 4.3.22 however I’ll likely deliver early due to a medical condition so still expecting Feb to be the month! Interested to see what they say at the 12 week as I’ve heard sometimes babies catch up and do the dates can change again!

Quick update. I had my booking in appointment this morning. All went well although I’m going to be consultant led due to another health condition I have. Because of said health condition I mentioned having and elective section but haven’t fully decided what I feel is for the best and they totally put my mind at ease and essentially said whatever option I decide it will be granted which is a huge relief, thought I might have to fight for it!

In other news I was checking out the covid requirements for our upcoming holiday to Thailand yesterday and noticed on the government website they advise against all travel to Thailand if pregnant due to Zika virus. The island we were going has had confirmed cases in the last 3 months. Checked our insurance and because it’s an endemic we’re not covered. We have the option of cancelling and losing all our money or postponing to next year and taking a 6 month old baby with us! Think we’ll go for the latter but not ideal.

Hope all is going well with your pregnancies. What are everyone’s symptoms like at the moment?

Sadly my scan this morning confirmed what I already suspected. My sac only measured 5w3d and I should be 8w. I now have to choose whether to have a medical or surgical termination as despite a week of bleeding the sac is still there.
I am so devastated as I have wanted a baby for the last few years.

Morning ladies

@Nutellafromthejar it's so good that you have options and that they are willing to let you decide whatever's best for you - it will make your pregnancy just that little bit less stressful hopefully 😊 Also postponing and taking baby with you to Thailand will be a whole different trip! Hop

@HappyPie82 I'm so sorry to hear this 😔 I know there's never really the right thing to say but I hope you recover well and feel better soon x

Hi Ladies, haven't been on in a while.

Sending lots of love and hugs to those who are going through a tough time at the moment ❤️

I wanted to ask a question about boobs. Mine have been doing strange things and I wanted to know if any of you had similar...
So around two weeks ago I noticed a red mark on my left breast, just under the nipple, it's started to look a bit simply (almost like the hair follicles have stretched. I've been to my GP who have referred me for a mammogram as they want to check it out... I'm so nervous as I'm thinking of the worst. Have any of you had this?

@nutellafromthejar what a faff with your holiday! :( I think you're making the right choice though, the Zika virus can be horrendous for pregnancy can't it.

I'm having to reply to everyone individually, I'm so sorry lol.

Oh I'm so very sorry :'( what an actual nightmare. Miscarriages are horrendous, I always thing missed miscarriages especially as they're just surrounded by uncertainty :(

Is it not possible that you will pass the pregnancy yourself?

I've had a medical termination before. It was okay, over within several hours once it properly started. However I think if I were ever to have the choice again I would choose surgical. As the procedure is done quickly and you're left with minimal bleeding. Not sure that has helped any at all, sorry. But I hope whichever way you choose everything happens quickly for you. Honestly gutted for you. Have you got some good support?

You'll get your rainbow baby. ❤️

Hey, I've never had this. But I wouldn't be overly surprised if hormones would be the culprit? My nipples are very swollen on the insides and look weird. However it's good your doctor is looking into it further. When's your mammogram? Hopefully it's just hormonal and you don't need to worry. Sorry I couldn't be of more help xx

Wow sorry for all the posts. I can't get em all into one post on my phone as I can't remember things well enough to reply properly. 😂😂😂

My symptoms are in full swing now. I have morning sickness (all day nausea, morning vomiting), major smell aversions and weird feelings with food. The other day I got some chicken sausages, hoping they'd be bland enough that my tummy would appreciate them, I was excited to cook them.. went upstairs for something, came back down, and then the thought of eating them made me feel sick. Wtf is that?? My nipples are swollen, bowels all over the place and my thoughts can be quite irrational!! Booking apt Weds and scan :)

I've been pregnant 6 times in total, (3DC) and have never had symptoms this bad.

I've not had this before sorry but my advice is not to google and wait for your mammogram! There are so many changes going on when you are pregnant, soooo many hormones floating about doing weird things to our body it's likely to be nothing to worry about 🙂 x

Hey ladies, how is everyone?

Would anybody be interested in a Facebook group??

I've just had my booking apt :) all went really well. I do keep going dizzy however and MW said I have low blood pressure and this is why.

I also have to go on aspirin at 12 weeks due to my mum having pre-eclampsia, even though I never have. Anybody else? My BMI also plays a role.

My early scan is this aft :) xx

Scan was fab!! I measured 8+4, so EDD Feb 25th which is my mum's bday. Saw the head but mostly it looks like a little blob lol. DF thinks it looks like a chicken. Got a video of the HB. So relieved and happy. Xxx

Hey everyone,

Been struggling the past week or so with emotions and specifically anxiety. I suffer already but pregnancy seems to be making it worse. Anyone else in the same boat? I'm hoping it will pass but some days I just feel so hopeless and sad, for no particular reason, or I get existential crisis wondering if I'm doing the right thing. This is my first pregnancy so I suppose I'm looking for reassurance that these feelings might be normal, or how can I get help? The massive bloating and feeling like a whale in the heat isn't helping my mood 🤣

I've not had an appointment yet so need to call them tomorrow to see what's going on, I'm 9weeks today.

I'd be totally up for a Facebook group 🥰

Hey,

Yes to the odd existential crisis and panic about 'is this right!?'.
Also with you in feeling like a beach ball in this heat!

I'm sure it's all normal - our hormones are going haywire and it's a huge change to get our brains around. X
