morning ladies,

rubbish weekend! Have got a viral throat infection and feel totally drained! I am still eing sick. Went to emergency dr. on Saturday and he was really nice, asked me if I wanted to go into hospital when I said no he said well I had better not do a urine test then otherwise I'll have to admit you! Hope I made the right choice. Am seeing my loopy midwife tomorrow but not hoping that she'll be any help. Am just panicking it might be twins as every dr I have seen have said that and despite hardly eating anything over last 7 weeks have put on about 5lb! Will have to wait til 5th Feb to find out. Am in work but wish I was at home in bed!

Well feeling like crap across the pond too. I have had a headache for at least 24 hours now. That along with my crazy nightmares kept me up half the night. DD crawled into my bed right behind me so didn't have to deal with her sobbing at 2am. Just don't have it in me to fight her about where she sleeps right now. DH is the only one who takes issue with tiny feet in his back.

Oh and I obviously spoke to soon about the MS. Heaving away this morning with nothing to hurl. ARGHHHH

Taking DD to preschool then going to nap in the car in the parking lot. How pathetic.

hi, not been back to this thread for a bit.

so when does the tiredness stop?

couldn't hear the baby's heartbeat at 8 weeks - so does that mean doom and gloom?

Report
CaptainCaveman · 14/01/2008 14:32

Was that with a doppler Warthog? Our mws won't even attempt listening with a doppler until 16 weeks as its very hit and miss.
No reason for doom or gloom - just too early to hear it that way. Ultrasound scan though would be able to 'see' it.

TS - ditto lo coming into bed. Ds got in about 3am and woke up when I tried to put him back to bed. I ended up with a tiny slither of bed, ds one side and the cat on the other, whilst dh snored away! I adore cuddling ds in bed but like your dh, mine doesn't seem to like little feet kicking him in the back! I'm on annual leave for the next 2 weeks - I have an assignment to hand in a week friday - so am supposed to be studying. A girl can only do so much reading before the need to go shopping takes over.....

Also having crazy dreams, very spotty and tired. Looking 'good' . Off out to buy some clothes that fit me!

Night from hell turned into morning from hell. Drove DD to school feeling really really bad...headache and nausea. Got to school a tad early so closed my eyes for a few minutes. TWO MINUTES before time to walk DD in I PUKE HARD CORE. Fortunately I had a towel in the car and thought to grab it as I hurled. DD just looked at me and said, "mommy that's gross." After recomposing myself and walking her into school I ran over to a fast food joint and got french fries and a dr. pepper. I loaded the fries down with salt and ate the whole lot. I ran one quick errand then crashed in the car for about an hour. Not feeling a whole lot better now but at least my headaches gone. Phoned a massage therapist to see if that would help me out but she said I'd have to wait till I was out of the first trimester. WHAT!!! There's just no relief for the suffering.

I pray you are all having a MUCH better day than me. 9+2 and currently NOT standing.

Clothes mission was a failure - I bought a pair of trousers for ds and some pic n mix sweets instead!!

Am supposed to be making a start on the ironing but tbh I would rather stick pins in my eyes.

Sorry you're having such a bad time TS, are you feeling any better now?

Warthog - I dreamt the other night that I was going in for IVF and Jeremy Clarkson was the father . I kept saying "no no no, I'm already 8 weeks pg" but no one would listen!!

I found something else that is hell on earth - food shopping. Every aisle bought another smell which threatened to induce vomiting!

ohmygod cc!!! i had an erotic dream about jeremy clarkson the other week! ugh it makes me feel sick to think of it... but to be fair, i did turn him down the first time he made a pass, and then thought about it the second time.

Hi sorry such an intermittent poster, never seem to have the time!

JEREMY CLARKSON!! I am too busy dreaming about steak sandwiches to allow such persistent passmakers into my dreams...

Quick question, I remember seeing advertised on a website some super-expensive postnatal pants with sucky-in stomachy part meant to sort of vacuum all your inny bits together and miraculously return body to pre-baby shape (not even that desirable in my case). Does this garbly description ring any bells with anyone?

morning ladies

TS, I sincerely hope you're having a better day than you had yesterday!

I thought spanx were just the sucky in magic pants but I do remember reading somewhere that the celebs were using these heavy duty knickers which moulded your body back into shape - personally feel am beyond that and will need to go down the jaws wired/mummy job route!!!

managed to get to sleep last night, not surprising after a late shift and both dds slept right through too - miracle! Unfortunately dh gran passed away yesterday so off to ireland tomorrow for funeral
she was lovely lady who had fantastic life, 13 children ladies THIRTEEN!!!!, and it is a relief as she was so ill but poor dh really feeling the distance!

Right off to book flights, car hire etc and then to register dd1 at the school, how on earth did that happen, it was only yesterday I spent 8hrs a day with head down toilet expecting her!!

have a good day ladies

oh, and please PLEASE PLEASE stop it with the kinky clarkston dreams, you're beginning to worry me!

moring ladies,

Hope you are all feeling ok? I have been feelin pretty rough ( though definitely getting off lightly in comparison to some of you!) I am gaining weight rapidly and its really getting me down. I have my scan on 24th which will finally give me a due date!!

Is anyone else gaining weight really quickly??xxxx

Report
dizzydixies · 15/01/2008 10:05

morning sarah

I have my scan on 24th too, feels like it has been a LONG time coming! I don't know my due date either so will be lovely to finally find out.

Sorry to hear you're feeling rough, am just exhausted so hoping that lack of morning sickness etc isn't a bad sign.

am also gaining weight but refusing to weigh myself until next week at booking in. I wouldn't worry about it too much in your first trimester, by your second you'll be feeling much better and the weather will be nicer so you'll be up to doing more.

I don't suppose the 2 croissants and jam I've just had for breakfast have helped the waistline though!

Dizzy - what on earth are you doing watching Jeremy Kyle?!! Does that not induce vomit even when not pg? Classy programme with classy guests

Those pants are something like 'postbaby girdles'. Can't find them when googling but only half looking!

Right, gotta go and eat and study....xxx

I think, but this is very rough guessing, the beginning of Aug. I don't have a regular cycle and I cannot for the life of me remember when my last period was. I have really gone over everything but I think working shifts messes everything up and I can't pin point it!!!

This is my 4th pg, I had mc first time and 2nd pg I PILED it on but with 3rd I only put on 19lbs. Am hoping for similar this time as am still carrying a lot of babyweight and with 2 young girls I don't want to be size of detached house!

sorry dizzy, about your dh's gran.

thing is, about those control pants is that wherever they end, you end up with a muffin top. unless they stretch from your neck right down to your ankles?

i phoned up a day school for dd today hoping to get her in a couple of mornings a week to give me some time before the baby arrives. they're taking kids for SEP 2009!!! ohmygod. what am i going to do????

Morning all.

I read somewhere you do show sooner with second and subsequent pregnancies because of tummy muscles not being what they were, or in my case never existed .

My problem is I was a bigger girl anyway so at the moment all it's doing is pushing my fat out even further. I just want to have one of those lovely neat pregnancy bumps where everybody knows you're pregnant and not just looks at you like you're a pig!

My scan is on 25th. They have my due date as 3rd Aug but I think it's nearer 8th Aug.

Hope you lovely ladies are still managing to feel happy even though it's so miserable outside. I was battling with my umbrella this morning, gave up and put it away and got soaked instead. I managed to laugh about it though
