@Millymay13 yeah I'm coming to the conclusion it's the snuz pod she hates. I think it's too flat as @PurplePansy05 says but there is no way to tilt it. Spose I could put books under the top feet but it's not very safe. She is more unsettled than usual the last day or so and does calm in my arms but I need to sleep.

So I'm doing night shift tonight. OH usually keeps her in the evening until some time between midnight and 1am then I have her for about 7 hours or depending how tough the night was. Usually I've expressed enough for a bottle in the evening so I can sleep from 8pm to midnight and also expressed another feeds worth for the morning when I sleep again for a few hours. The morning sleep stops next week though with OH going back to work. Though currently we only had one bottle expressed and its been used up so this morning when I hand over I'll hope she sleeps through or I'll express before my nap or we always agree to use formula if needs be as sleep is more important.

When OH does a night shift he only does 6 hours as I don't feed and he uses expressed milk. I pump before and after my sleep as my boobs will be full.

Sorry I meant to add that part of me thinks there is something else going on with DD. We used to be able to feed and lay her down right after at night as she would be fast asleep and never needed much winding. I find when she is put flat she can gulp a bit and gag sometimes and be generally noisy with her swallowing so I wonder if it's a bit of reflux as she's too flat.

During the day she sleeps in her pram bassinet which is tilted.

Shall we have a new thread? We’ll fill this one up soon :)

lucyrp · 04/09/2021 07:23

@PurplePansy05 yeah I think I need to find someone where I can go to them as I've been on the websites that show you your local ones and cardiff is the closest one. I also need to see someone in person as it would be a consultation to check for a tongue tie and if there is one as suggested then to have it snipped there and then.

Has anyone's LO who's BF gone a few days without a poo? It's been 2-3 days since our last one and starting to worry now although I do know it's completely normal for EBF babies to go a while without a poo

wimbler · 04/09/2021 07:42

@Ready2020 which snuz pod do you have? We have the snuz pod 3 and it came with a reflux tilt. You attach it at the base and it tilts the head end up. I know the snuz pod 3 was the first one to have this feature though so if you’ve got an earlier one you might not have it.

@PurplePansy05 dd used to go 5ish days without a poo sometimes. Ds has gone 48 hours but he’s on gaviscon which has that effect. We went down to one sachet by mistake yesterday and he went 4 times in 24 hours. They can go 2 weeks between poos before the doctor would start to worry apparently!

Having a proper feeding wobble again. I’m just not enjoying bf. We got his tongue tie snipped yesterday but it hasn’t made any difference. I know I can’t expect instant results but I must nave relatched him 15 time for the 3.30am feed because his latch was so shallow and he was taking in so much air. I could feel the bubbles going down to his tummy through his back. We’re going out today and I’m dreading having to feed in public. Going to express to take a bottle but the only way he’s going to improve his latch is with practice so I know I need to persevere. Feeling very deflated this morning
