Had a growth scan last week at 36 weeks.
All been fine up until this scan where I was told baby has a big tummy and little legs.
Will baby be ok/look ok?

I’ve since been monitoring my blood sugars (on day 5 today) and everything is well under the limit so doubt very much it is gestational diabetes.

Should I be concerned? Is my baby going to look deformed? Confused am I eating too much chocolate?!!

If everything has been fine until now, it's now likely positioning.
Remember that even a few mm difference will throw growth scans out, but when you look at the actual baby it's much harder to see.
Your baby will be gorgeous

I’m sure if it was a risk to the baby they would have told you. The baby will look absolutely fine - in my experience most babies have a round tummy and little legs!

Gosh I hope so! Thanks so much. I have heard growth scans can be out.
I do eat a lot of chocolate though so thought I might have damaged it! 😭
We keep joking it has the same frame as my husband right now! Haha - I just hope it looks normal and is healthy of course!

The risk with too much chocolate would be gestational diabetes. Baby would potentially be bigger then but it wouldnt affect legs. Just bigger overall. And as Kanaloa said, of they were concerned they would tell you. Good luck

They thought DS Had a big tummy on one growth scan, he came out very skinny so no idea where that was from. Could be yours is in a funny position

I'm sure they'll be fine, my DS measured like this on the scans. They were accurate but he's fine 🤣
