Castor oil

Hi,

Please no harsh comments. I took castor oil today (37 weeks). I'm trying to avoid a c section if possible as I've been told my baby is already over 8lbs and will need to be induced as hes just huge for me. I know not everyone agrees with castor oil but those who have used it could you share your experiences please. I took 50ml and threw up and had the runs within 30mins of taking it. Has anyone been sick and it still worked?

It's so dangerous! I'm sorry for you but it's am old wives tale and is incredibly dangerous to take for the baby. Some women have actually lost their babies by taking it so I'd call your midwife unit asap.

I thought by 2020, everyone should know this! Your not even full term. Get yourself either to hospital or make those calls. A friend of a friend in a baby group lost her baby doing EXACTLY what you've just done and because of taking the castor oil.

A quick Google before taking it would have shown you not to take it

@Bel2992 I would ask for this thread to be deleted as you are 100 percent going to get harsh comments as you've already taken it.

Go to hospital to get checked

Unless this is a game thread 🤔

Oh I've just seen it's two weeks old and no one replied. They must be better at sniffing out bull crap then me!. If it's real I hope you and the baby are ok. At least if someone equally as silly comes across this in the future it might stop them taking the stuff
