Wow such a long way away but hey ho!

EDD Dec 1. Very excited although nervous given the world circumstances atm. Hopefully it's sticky though! This will (🤞) be baby 4#.

@Elle1990 I've had two losses (but also had three babies) but I think the anxiety of the first trimester losses never leaves you.

@calimommy poor you, sorry to hear that. Hope all goes well next week for you xx

Thesaltandthesea · 17/04/2020 16:50

Tentatively joining in. I'm due around 12th December. Already have 2DC but this will be DC1 for DP. We have a private scan booked for 5/5 but trying not to get our hopes up too much before then due to previous losses.

calimommy · 17/04/2020 17:48

@Thesaltandthesea welcome x

Hi everyone! Newbie here, BFP 2 days ago and if I’ve calculated correctly EDD 26/12/2020! 👋🏽

Congratulations to you all, can’t wait to share this journey obviously nervous that it’s so early and now the shock has worn off I’m actually excited for a new arrival x

calimommy · 18/04/2020 15:26

Welcome @Tink679

How's everyone feeling? My sickness and breastpain eased up this week and made me feel anxious but then returned last evening with vigour 🤷‍♀️. I have my first appointment on Monday so equally excited and nervous for the scan!

Morning @calimommy (and everyone else!)

I'm feeling extreme dizziness right now. Even just sitting down typing this is a struggle! I'm also feeling sick. With all my previous 3 pregnancies (all miscarriages) I never had morning sickness, so i'm holding onto the hope that this is a good sign for me!

Good luck with your appointment. I just had my letter through for my first appointment at the beginning of May when i'm 8 weeks.

I may have missed it, but do we have a facebook group? in my previous pregnancy we had a secret fb group who were a massive support to me.

calimommy · 18/04/2020 16:00

@bee222 yes it was set up by @meerkatmummy so pm her your email and she can add you 👍

@bee222 also, the sickness is a good sign! Xx

How is everyone getting on? It is normal for symptoms to go away? I have really bad nausea yesterday, and my boobs were soooo painful. Hi pray no nausea and my boobs are barely sore. Making me paranoid something is wrong 😭

Wosie26 · 18/04/2020 16:29

@meerkatmummy I’m hoping it’s normal for symptoms to come and go as I had none yesterday and I don’t Really have any today apart from mood swings. The mood swings might just be off being stuck in the house for five weeks with the OH Grin. How’s everyone else feeling?

calimommy · 18/04/2020 16:43

I was very ill weeks 5&6 then the first half of 7 I was fairly ok and v little breastpain. Now today I feel awful again. My understanding is the hormone levels go up and down as baby/placenta grows, little surges here and there. They are suppose to level off in the second trimester which is why most women's sickness eases around then. Mine usually eases after the first trimester with occasional food related sickness which is normal for me anyway as I have IBS.

Hi everyone, we've been surprised with a positive test yesterday, which I've worked as roughly a 28 December EDD. This will be my third DC 😃

It's so funny that moments after it was confirmed, the bloat has begun, and weeing on the hour... our bodies are strange and amazing things!

Wosie26 · 18/04/2020 19:55

Thanks @calimommy that’s good to know it happens to most of us. Welcome @mayago! Exciting times ahead for us!

Poppyholland · 18/04/2020 20:33

Hi everyone! Hope your ok!

I'm 6 +5 weeks and really excited but have such bad bloating and struggling to eat much! Anyone else feeling like this??
Also I'm booked in for the midwife to take my bloods at the end of the month, this is my first child so just wondering what the tests are for?

Hope your all having a lovely evening!xSmile

Didyeaye · 19/04/2020 06:51

@Marshmallow1102 ahhh it’s so exciting! I know what you mean about wanting to shout it. I feel like I’m worse with this cos of lockdown, like I just wanna tell everyone!

@Elle1990 congratulations! I don’t have the hangover feeling (yet?) but do remember it from before. Everyone is different, tell your DH! Grin

@Thesaltandthesea and @Tink679! congratulations!

@calimommy how are you feeling? I only very occasionally feel ‘symptomy‘. My main thing is tiredness but DS wakes between 5 and 6 most days so I’m used to being tired! Very occasionally feel a bit sick and have achey boobs. I can kinda forget for hours though before a passing wave of nausea. I was wondering if the body feels the major effects less after previous pregnancies. Like the hormones aren’t such a shock or something. Probably nothing in it but just musing 🤷🏼‍♀️ Not long til your scan!!

Hi @bee222 how are you feeling? Has the dizziness calmed any? Is your first appointment in person? I’ve been told my first will be a phone appointment.

@meerkatmummy yep, I’d say totally normal! Hi @Wosie26 too!

Hi @mayago and congratulations! Were you surprised because the baby is a surprise? This is my 3rd too and wasn’t planned! I’m delighted though.

Hi @Poppyholland the bloating is totally normal. In my experience it disappears only to be replaced with cravings for beige food! Grin the tests are screening for things like HIV, hepatitis etc. they also check and confirm blood group and probably check for anemia.

That was a bit of an epic catch up. Hope you’re all doing ok!

bee222 · 19/04/2020 08:38

Morning @Didyeaye Yeah, it’s a phone appointment. They said they would then give me an appointment so have bloods taken separately.
The dizziness is okay at the moment. I usually feel okay in the morning and it hits me (along with nausea) around 1pm.

Poppyholland · 19/04/2020 10:13

Morning everyone! How we all feeling this morning?

@Didyeaye thank you for explaining!

Marshmallow1102 · 19/04/2020 11:09

I'm only six weeks but I've not got many symptoms and struggling not to freak out! I've been weeing more, I'm tired and I've lost my appetite, but that's it's really, other than being super bloated all the time! I'm going to regret saying it later I'm sure, but I'd love to feel some nausea or something just to know things are progressing ok! I had some spotting this morning and I'm so scared of it turning into something more!!

Tink679 · 19/04/2020 11:12

Morning all!

I’ve got a real heavy feeling today and feel quite queasy! I’m also quite anxious as I’m an ITU nurse and I’m back on nights today! Given the current situation I’ve already had to tell work so they can put me in a non covid area but I found being in full PPE quite tricky and worried that I’m going to throw up in my face mask! 😷 I’ve been struggling with sleep and feel drained which isn’t helping either, I feel it’s too early to take time off and I know we need all the help we can get at work so just muddling through

I’ve wanted to tell everyone but obviously haven’t yet, just my mum and my best friend as I feel I need a bit of support. The fella is great but he’s still in shock! 😂 Which is another reason I joined this group!

I’ve seen a lot of you have the usual ache boobs, dizziness and nausea, when did your symptoms start. I have only know I’m pregnant for a few days and feel they have been increasing since I found out so not sure if I’m just being over sensitive to every change?

Sorry for the long post so early! Hope you’re all well and have slept okay!

NoNameIdeas · 19/04/2020 12:42

Hi everyone
Felt a little less nauseous yesterday but today is just awful! Mostly I'm just trying not to be sick everywhere...fun times! Would love to just curl up in bed but not sure dc1 would agree that's such a good idea...

Hope everyone is having a nice day xx

mayago · 19/04/2020 14:15

A little spotting this morning has me worried! Going to have to amazon prime some more tests as I really don't fancy queuing at the local shops today.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine today!!

River5675 · 19/04/2020 20:45
