@Jassem29 thank you! Yeah I went alone. I was terrified not going to lie but the guy doing my scan was really nice. He explained everything on the screen.

Everything at my hospital is very efficient at the moment, had to buzz to go in and was asked if I had any symptoms before I could even enter the building. Then i had to use alcohol gel before going through to ultrasound. The sonographer wore gloves, apron and mask and cleaned everything down as soon as we were done. So i dont think there is any real risk of catching anything.

@Murree thank you so much for sharing. What a special moment though to find out your having a beautiful boy! I'm trying to still be so excited that we are having a baby! And not let this time put a dampening on it. It's our first baby too so we are just so excited/nervous everything haha! Have you thought about names or anything yet? We dont no what we are having but we had a girls name picked and my cousin had a baby last month and used that name (just coinsidence) xxx

Hi ladies!

I hope you are all having a lovely day.
I have been really enjoying feeling little baby move lately, the odd few kicks here and there. Mostly mid morning and evening time. But I haven't felt anything today and it's making me all paranoid!!! I'm 18w + 1 day. Am I just being a worry wort?

squashie34 · 03/04/2020 16:21

@Vialarooski I don't feel something every day and I'm 22 weeks now.. one day there's quite a few kicks and wriggles then the next day nothing really and it makes me worry a little too. But then the day after she will be wriggling away again (like today). I don't think you have to be concerned about movement patterns until 24 weeks if i'm right?

In fact @Vialarooski I've just saw your 18 weeks.. I never even felt baby move until after my 20 week scan even though on the scan she was wriggling away, so you're just lucky that you can feel some movements so early I'd say Grin

Thank you @squashie34 that's made me feel a little better and more relaxed about it :) I didn't feel my first baby until I was well over 20 weeks so it was a totally shock for me too when I felt her kick last week 💕

Hi All, just come back from an appointment with my new gynaecologist (my old one has underlying health issues so is currently shielding). She wanted me to come in so she could have a look over and make sure she had everything for my file. Normally they are all supposed to be over the phone so was good to see someone to have my blood pressure etc... taken. As well as putting pretty much her entire arm up me to feel for my cervix 🤕 (sorry if that's TMI).

The main compensation is that she also did a quick scan and we found out we are having a little girl!!! Sadly DH wasn't there as was waiting in the car, but it was amazing to find out as thought we would have to wait until the my scan at 22 weeks end of April! We are over the moon - DH (who I think actually always thought he would rather have a boy) is absolutely besotted with the idea of having a daughter!

In terms of movement, I am 19 weeks today and I am feeling the odd movement, usually in the evenings but certainly not every day. My doctor said that's quite usual this early on and certainly there isn't a pattern until much later on in the pregnancy and it's nothing to worry about at all! 😊

I've been lucky enough to feel baby since about 17 weeks. At about 18 and a half weeks I had days where is didn't really feel anything... scared me no end but a quick check witha midwife and baby was still in there kicking around but had turned to face the back.

Apparently is quite normal for baby to be able to move away from the front at this stage, they dont seem to worry until your after 24 weeks.

But if you are really worried please contact your midwife for advice xx

Congrats everyone that's had a scan! I'm 20 weeks today and have my scan next week, really nervous/excited!

My sickness has finally gone which is amazing, mainly just knackered and ravenous! My back pain is getting pretty bad now too which I think was unavoidable with having twins! I was initially referred for physio, but I doubt that'll happen now as not essential. Has anyone else been referred for physio which is going ahead?

Hi All, I hope you're all continuing to have healthy and happy pregnancies even if the conditions are perhaps not what we all hoped for with the lockdown.

I have a question which I appreciate can be a bit sensitive, so I don't necessarily need you to share your experiences but I am a bit concerned so could do with a bit of advice.

I am currently 20 weeks and I have put on 1kg since the beginning of my pregnancy. My weight hasn't really moved in the last 2 weeks when I last spoke to my doctor. She seemed very happy with my weight gain then and told me it was nothing to worry about.

I guess my main concern is that this really does feel like I haven't gained enough and I'm a bit worried that the baby could end up being underweight or malnourished. I'm in France and there is definitely a focus on pregnant women not gaining too much during pregnancy, so I wonder whether my doctor is too focused on that and might be missing whether there is an issue.

I'm fully ready to be told I'm being silly and not to worry about it, but am wondering whether I should contact my doctor again in a week or two if I still haven't gained. What do you all think?

@kersh33 Hi lovely. I hope you are ok and staying safe. I'm usually a size 6-8 uk size and have gone up to around a size 10. I weighed around 8 and half stone pre pregnancy. I havnt weighed myself since 8 weeks at the dr office. I am 21 weeks. The hospital hasnt weighed me either. I would say, every pregnacy is diffrent and every womans body is diffrent. I think with the current state of the world too we are going to be anxious about certain things. If you really concerned I would getting touch with your midwife. Not sure If this is any help xx

Hello all, I just turned 21 weeks and had our anomaly scan, we are having a boy. We didn’t find out with our first but chose to this time to help her with bonding. Things are feeling real now so getting back into things here. @kersh33 it’s not silly at all, baby will take everything it needs from you but it does depend on you before you started pregnancy to some extent. I am overweight and down a stone now due to sickness and a GD ‘diet’

Glad to hear everyone is doing well and scans are great! I'm 21 weeks too and have put on a lot of weight in the past month, but I lost a lot due to sickness the first few months so I think I'm making up for it now - especially as it's twins! Think I've put on just over a stone since becoming pregnant.

If you're measuring ok and eating well, I wouldn't worry too much about the scales. My first pregnancy I didn't put much weight on xx

Hi everyone, my scan is at the end of this week. Did anyone have a special measures in place? I know DH won't be able to come, but I'm still nervous about going to the germy hospital!

@kersh33 I didn't put on much weight with DS until about 30 weeks, I think the combo of not drinking, not snacking and not wanting to eat much generally offset the baby weight. Wish the same were true this time Shock

Bert2020 · 14/04/2020 16:35

@FoxtrotSkarloey I had to go alone, had to sanitise and answer questions as soon as I got into the building. Sanitise once out of the lift, check in and wait. There were 3 patients in an otherwise normally packed waiting room! I felt really quite safe despite being anxious beforehand.
