Graduate thread for all the amazing ladies who have endured infertility and are hopefully now starting a new chapter🤞

@Littlelot @Viletta @candycornlover @FlapJackered @Wimbledon1

I got my BFP on Tuesday the 28th and am feeling pretty symptom free today (so obviously panicking that it's all going wrong! 😣). 7 week scan due to be Tuesday the 18th and it feels like a long way away with symptoms going awol! 😥 POAS this morning and it looks spot on for where I should be, so trying to take some comfort from that 🤞🤞🤞

🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻@MrsLouB

I’ve been keeping a small eye on my weight & no gain so far but I’m starting to get the mix of hunger then urgh no good feeling! I’m fortunate as no bloating now, because mine was FET I only got progesterone bloating but things are feeling a little uncomfortable mainly down to cramps so whenever possible I change from jeans to joggers!

Today definitely a hibernation joggers afternoon!!

Viletta · 28/02/2020 18:40

Had my midwife appointment and finally got the pack 😊 their scales shoes 3 kg less than mine at home, I was pleased about that. No weight gain for me so far. But I noticed that indeed I got more bloated in the evening. My 12 week scan is booked for 23 March. I should see my midwife at home in a couple of weeks again. Feels even more real now! Hope you are all doing well.

MrsLouB · 28/02/2020 20:21

Hi all thanks for checking in so although levels high sac was nearly empty today only 2mm embyo so confirmed miscarriage and to stop meds . Wanted to send me to epu which i dont understand as we know what happening. but as ive been bleeding they think i should be ok on my own. Just had an awful shot/gush never had anything like it even with other MC lucky i was at home and DH is so helpful. So thats me for now atleast for a few months before we use last embryo xx i wish u all a healthy 9 months and thank you all for ur support xx

FlapJackered · 28/02/2020 20:42

@MrsLouB I am so sorry to hear that, I have been thinking of you all day and hoping it wouldn't be bad news. Take care of yourself and don't put pressure on yourself to feel ok, it takes time. I found the support groups on here really helpful when I miscarried. ❤️

MrsLouB · 28/02/2020 20:46

Thank you @FlapJackered xx

Minster2012 · 28/02/2020 21:12

@MrsLouB so sorry, and pleased that DH is with you. Look after yourself & each other, I’m sure it will happen for you 😘xxx

MrsLouB · 28/02/2020 21:26

Thanks @Minster2020 yeah we will. Just hard as after spending life savings and going through this twice had the same outcome as without it, but it proves something is working atleast x but age is not on my side now so one last go x

Wimbledon1 · 29/02/2020 08:38

Oh no @MrsLouB I'm so sorry. So heartbreaking and especially the way it dragged out for you over 10 days. I know there's always cases of this, but I have two friends who had back to back early miscarriages and then went on to have a third healthy pregnancy. I really hope your Frostie will do that for you. As you say, it is working and you can get pregnant and carry a baby. This is something I didn't think I could do until now and so whatever happens I feel that is a step forward.

Sending you all the best of luck 💫💕

Wimbledon1 · 29/02/2020 08:46

Has anyone else had the heartburn symptom yet? I had a load of garlic bread for dinner last night and have been in pain ever since. May have previously mentioned I had a stomach ulcer last year so my first thought was it is back, but then saw the NHS pages list heartburn as a common pregnancy symptom. So looks like another new pleasure to adjust to 😬😂

Lily999 · 29/02/2020 10:50

Good morning, so sorry @MrsLouB, it is very cruel.

@Wimbledon1 I did have heartburn a couple of times and did hear it's a symptom. This morning I started crying when DH asked what I'd like to have for breakfast and I told him I don't know and burst into tears.
He recommended I should ho back to bed, watch Netflix and he'll make a surprise breakfast. :)

Sometimes I wonder how do they keep it together? I'm a textbook crazy person nowadays!

Viletta · 29/02/2020 10:55

@MrsLouB so sorry about your news. Take care of yourself do DH. Really hope it works next time.

Viletta · 29/02/2020 10:56

@Wimbledon1 I had heartburn for a couple of weeks which is very unusual for me. It seemed to stop now. Bread does seem to trigger it. I also had it every morning before breakfast.

DobbieFreeElf · 29/02/2020 11:09

So the DailyMail main headline has reported that my local town has become “Surrey’s Coronavirus hotspot”! We’re in Wales at the moment, coincidentally had to visit a doctor yesterday for DS who was having trouble breathing! He did ask if we’ve been travelling but it was pre-headline so I said we’d been nowhere near a virus zone! I’m sure it’s just the fall out from a cold (which he has got steroids to treat)! Either that or we’ve just infected Wales!

rainbow178 · 29/02/2020 11:15

@MrsLouB so sorry to hear how things turned out. Make sure you have lots of quality time together to recover. Give yourself time to heal and hope things go better next time.

I am currently sat on a train with a bag full of Things to help if my sickness gets worse!! I actually tried some lemon and ginger tea last night and felt the best all night than I have in a week. So I have lemon and ginger tea with me now! Hope it's a magic cure, not just coincidence!!

Going to meet a friend for lunch who doesn't know my news, hope I don't hurl and give the game away!!

Minster2012 · 29/02/2020 11:39

Had a tiny bit of heartburn last night but that’s the first time, hope it’s the last too, still getting cramping pains also hope they don’t get worse

I’ve made myself a large jug of homemade lemon, ginger & honey hoping that staves off any sickness for a while 🤞🏻But I know I’m heading into nausea territory & my body is renowned for sickness being it’s natural response to things

@DobbieFreeElf that is slightly worrying that corona is near you (well, your home town) but it’s just scaremongering & fingers crossed DS is feeling better (Percy pigs help ive heard!) I have started to use more antibacterial gel which I didn’t before but then again I’ve also got a weakened immune system as well as pregnant 😫
I also make DS wash his hands a lot too I think it’s all about common sense but we aren’t risking flying abroad we’ve just booked center parcs for end of March which will be when I’m about 9-10 weeks so key sickness time perhaps- might as well be sick with DH on hand to look after DS!

justkeeprunning5 · 29/02/2020 18:07

Hi Ladies,
Mind if I join? I was on the Dec/Jan thread and on the Jan/Feb TWW that then went over into Feb/March. Tested this morning on OTD and got a very definite positive. We are both in a state of shock (and tired, I woke at 5 and couldn’t get back to sleep!) and can hardly believe it after all this time! This was my second transfer. Trying not to get too freaked out about the weeks and months ahead and enjoy this special moment.

I will have a read back on this thread to see how you are all getting on Xx

Viletta · 29/02/2020 18:12

@justkeeprunning5 congratulations and welcome!! I had my bfp on 4th transfer, feels like the dream come true.

Minster2012 · 29/02/2020 19:55

@justkeeprunning5 I’ve been hoping to see you here!! Congratulations 🥰

BambiOnIce80 · 29/02/2020 20:03

Fantastic news and welcome @justkeeprunning5! 🎉🎉🎉

Glad the midwife appointment went well @Viletta and I'm very envious of your lack of weight gain! 😏 I think I should try your yoghurt and apple diet 😉

Congratulations on your second symptom @Wimbledon1! 😜 It's quite surprising that I haven't had heartburn yet with the amount of food I'm putting away!

Sorry to hear you're having an emotional day @Lily999 💐 I hope the surprise breakfast cheered you up a bit? I've apologised to DP multiple times recently because I'm such hard work at the moment, but he's really not batting an eye lid 🤷‍♀️ I'm really sure that if the boot was on the other foot he'd be doing my head in! 😂 I had a visit to the Italian deli lady at the end of our road (who I told that I was pregnant so that she didn't think I was being a high maintenance customer! 😳) and I mentioned that I was crazing the lovely, salty panuozzo that her husband makes - she said "I'll see what I can do 👍" and I took that to mean that, if I was lucky, there might be some next weekend. She then texts me 2 hours later with a picture of it saying that she'd told her husband that I was wanting it and pregnant, so he dropped what he was doing and came in with some for me!! 😮🥰😮🥰 I was soooooo touched and mentioned this to DP and he said it was very normal in Italian culture that the guy will bend over backwards for pregnant women (not even just their own, apparently!😂) and that's why he's perfectly happy with all my irrational whims - they're bred that way! Is your DH a bit Italian?! 😄 Can't wait to have my panuozzo for lunch tomorrow 😋😋😋

Any chance of staying in Wales @DobbieFreeElf?! 😷 How many people have tested positive in Surrey? Hope you and your family are safe.x

You mentioning the ginger and lemon tea got me thinking @rainbow178 🤔 I'm hoping it might help with my nausea and therefore might stop my weight (and arse! 😩) ballooning, so I've gone and got some from sainsbury's (where twinnings currently have it on offer 🍵). I've had some and managed to stick to a normal-ish quantity of food today, so thanks for the tip 😘

I'm so sorry to hear your news @MrsLouB 💙 Sending you loads of positivity for your frostie when you're ready for it 💓

@justkeeprunning5 welcome! I am still in shock after 2 weeks, waiting very UNpatiently for my scan!!

@BambiOnIce80 I really hope this ginger is working- I have been fine all day and ate a lovely pizza tonight-would never have been able to keep it down the other day but feel so much better today! I had ginger tea in my bag! Also got some lemon and ginger cordial which I have had by my side all night!! Fingers crossed it continues!!

CupcakeEater · 01/03/2020 00:09

Hey ladies, just checking in from the TWW thread after getting my BFP this morning. It's still taking a while to sink in!

FlapJackered · 01/03/2020 06:57

@BambiOnIce80 that is so sweet of the deli owners! Sounds like you have a good shop there!
Sorry to hear you're feeling rough again, I am actually ok now. A bit queasy now and then and still knackered all the time but not really nauseous. I have got to the stage of tiredness that I have almost cried in DHs face because I want to go to bed so much! 😂 it's ridiculous I feel like I could sleep most of the day. 💤

@DobbieFreeElf oh no! Maybe extend the holiday a bit longer! Or go back fully masked up! 😷 😂

@Wimbledon1 sorry to hear you're suffering with heartburn. It's horrible. I am quite prone to it normally so I am sure it will hit me at some point.

Welcome @justkeeprunning5 @CupcakeEater 😁

So on a whim I have just booked tickets for Alanis Morissette on 29th September (due on 9th October) 😬 what are the chances of me actually making it?
She was my favourite artist growing up so I just couldn't miss out but I know it is going to be a challenge! 🤰 I think it is seated so that is something, but do people normally stand up anyway the whole way through big gigs? It's been a while since I have been to one.

Chooklass · 01/03/2020 09:21

@FlapJackered I’m with you on the tiredness! That’s still my main symptom. Seem ok most mornings but by afternoon it is a physical effort to keep my eyes open 🥱. (But I’m still waking up at 4:30 most mornings 😱 ... whyyyy?!)

I got some Teapigs lemongrass tea last week and found it perfect when I was mildly nauseous @BambiOnIce80 and @rainbow178! I’ve also got some fancy loose-leaf ginger tea a friend brought me back from India - it’s perfect just now!

Welcome @justkeeprunning5 and @CupcakeEater - congratulations!! 🥳😃

Chooklass · 01/03/2020 09:24

@FlapJackered I got to go to a concert a few months ago in place of a heavily pregnant friend who’s pelvis was too sore to sit in a cramped seat so long - so I guess you’ll just have to judge it nearer the time? Hopefully it will be fine though, and mini-FlapJackered will probably love all the noise!! x

Viletta · 01/03/2020 11:33

@BambiOnIce80 the Italian couple sounds so lovely! We've got one at a farmers market once a week and always get something from them. I'd love to try their home made tiramisu but it has ingredients I can't have. We normally get lasagna.

@FlapJackered I love Alanis! I guess you'd know closer to the date if you can make it.

@CupcakeEater welcome! Congratulations on your bfp!

I too am tiered all the time. I sleep 8h and then have naps during the day on weekends. I am shuttered by 9pm.

Started weening down my meds this week should stop them next week. Eeek
