@Rachael1986manchester Amazing for adopting! My eldest son is 13 (14 in August), my daughter is 7 and my youngest son is 5. So quite similar. When do you think you'll tell them?

Hello! Can I join in? I’ve just done a round of IVF and have felt nauseated for a few days but was too scared to test until today: BFP!! Due October 9th. Fingers crossed for sticky ones for everyone!!

Good morning ladies!
I got my bfp a day or two ago, but today it was clear as day 😊
I'm currently 6dp5dt and this will be my third child. This little embryo is already over 10 yrs old, created in 2009 from the same batch my now 10yr old DD came from. I've also have a 16 DS. Feel crazy scared and excited to be doing this again and also extremely lucky for it to have worked again on my first round.
My OTD isn't until next week, but looked online calculator and says due date October 11th.
Congratulations on everyone's BFPs xx

Congratulations on your bfps everyone!

I got my first ever bfp yesterday, darker line today. DH and I are delighted and terrified, but I think that’s normal. This will be our first and I’ve never been pregnant before so everything is super new to us.

All being well, apps say due date is Oct 9th 😻🍾

Wildhay, congratulations!! I was so nervous about testing and finding out if it was £15,000 down the drain or not!

Congratulations to all the new mamas to be 😊. How is everyone feeling?

I'm in work today and feeling terrified. Have some upper back pain and blaming it on the fact I sit down at a desk for 8 hours a day but also its niggling away that this is how my 3 previous losses started. Really hope it means nothing, cant wait to finish and go home for a nice bubble bath.

Quiffy · 30/01/2020 13:20

@westynottingham fingers crossed for you ❤️ When you thinking about testing?

@LoveRainbow02 I’m sure it means nothing. Hopefully your day goes by quickly - a bath sounds fab. I’ve got a banging headache and pretty crampy, but seems normal. Got my first doc appointment in a couple of hours eeeek

Quiffy, I tested this morning and it’s a BFP!!! Can’t actually believe it.
Loverainbow, it’s such an anxious time even without multiple losses. Fingers crossed for you. Enjoy your lovely warm bath tonight.
I feel queasy and tired. No chance of a nap or a rest with my son around though!!

How's everyone feeling today? (Tmi) my sex drive is hitting the roof again, seems to happen with every pregnancy lol
Anyone else?

Report
Sunflower1608 · 31/01/2020 09:15

@Hopin4no4 no sex drive at all (poor OH feels used for his sperm for the last year 🤣). However feeling serene which is very unusual for me. During pregnancy or before periods I'm like a pissed off bull on steroids. I feel all floaty and chilled, it's fab. Starting to have waves of mild nausea. Intense dreams and waking in the middle of the night and not being able to settle back to sleep again

Report
wildhay · 31/01/2020 09:43

I'm feeling great but so so thirsty, can't drink enough water

My sex drive is 0 but I blame that on all the IVF meds I'm still on Blush

Has anyone told people other than their partner yet? I've had a positive test 4 days in a row each getting stronger and think I'm going to tell my parents today!!

Report
Harricat · 31/01/2020 11:19

@Sunflower1608 I was just saying to my boyfriend I feel like I'm on a cloud today I feel all floaty. My boobs have started to hurt mildly that's about it really.

@wildhay I've had to tell my parents and my boyfriends parents straight away as I was a week away from starting my IVF journey and I managed to conceive naturally, couldn't believe it!

@Sunflower1608 lmao love your description of a pissed of bull on steroids 🤣 I've been extremely moody but when it comes to sex, I'm like a women possessed. My husband loves it, think it's the only thing that makes my moodiness worthwhile for him 🙈😂
@wildhay I've told my other 3 children, they new we were trying and noticed when I screamed in the bathroom at my positive result lol but no one else
Xx

@wildhay Ive told my partner, best friend, a couple of ladies at the perinatal mental health support group I run that have had similar experience of MC and difficulties TTC and my boss (I work in a high risk mental health ward). I'm not planning on telling my parents until it's impossible for them to not know 🤣. My mum particularly has never been supportive or kind about any of my pregnancies and I don't think I can deal with that negativity right now until I feel more secure that my bean is going to stick around (although I am further then where I was when I startded bleeding with my last MC)

Report
wildhay · 31/01/2020 14:28

@Harricat that's amazing news that you conceived naturally! I bet that was a shock!

@Hopin4no4 a woman possessed 😂😂😂

I told my parents at lunch, happy tears but my mum was convinced it had already worked this cycle anyway ☺️ it so wierd for it to be out in the open, not planning to tell anyone else til we're a few more weeks along the road

Report
wildhay · 31/01/2020 14:30

@Sunflower1608 that sucks that she's not very supportive but it sounds like you have a good group of people around you

Keeping my fingers firmly crossed for everyone having very sticky beans!

Xx

@Sunflower1608 yes on intense dreams! I woke up at 430 absolutely roasting and could get back to sleep. Sorry about your mum. Seem to have lots of other support though ❤️

Told my parents this afternoon. They were shocked and over the moon. Lots of happy tears!

Anyone got any advice on not stressing about not being pregnant? Keep feeling like it will all stop suddenly even I’ve got the positive tests etc

I’ve told loads of people! 😂 Everyone knew I was doing IVF because I’ve been moaning about it for six months. My parents are coming to visit on Monday so will tell them in person then. I found out yesterday morning at about 7am and by 8am I had told 3 or 4 friends and my entire August 2017 baby group, who knew I was trying for a second. I am not good at keeping these things to myself!
Wildhay, what dose of progesterone does your clinic use? When I was pregnant with Alex it was with a different clinic and the new one prescribes twice the dose (400MG twice a day). I’ve been feeling really sick in the evenings since 10dpo. Really tired too. And now my nipples are tingly like when you’re breastfeeding and hear your baby cry!! WTF. I’m 4 weeks today. Seems far too early for all this. I did have two embryos put back, though, so... 😳😳

Report
WestyNottingham · 31/01/2020 19:58

Ok, am now feeling slightly weird to have posted in public about my tingly nipples. In my last pregnancy, we had a baby group from this forum that moved across to Facebook. Easier to track what’s going on with people and to post in threads there. It can be secret and hidden so nobody can find it without an invite. Who’s in?
