Has anyone attended/thinking of attending hypnobirthing classes?

If so did you find it helpful? Also do you mind telling me how much you paid?

We are booked to go in March for hypnobirthing classes. Everyone I know that has done them say they're fabulous! Ours is with the NHS though so it's free. We've booked NCT classes too which we've paid for. Maybe check what is available through your midwife?

NHS antenatal classes I was offered were labour & birth & breast feeding

Me and my partner did private hypnobirthing sessions one on one over 5 weeks. I was terrified of labour and needed to do something. They 100% made me feel better in the lead up to my labour. I did practice it in my labour, even though it ended up completely differently. I would thoroughly recommend it if you're anxious about birth etc.

@GingerRH it's so weird how it can vary. We are only offered hypnobirthing in our area. You'd think it would be the same for everyone! Good luck Smile

I did hypnobirthing and I thought it was brilliant. It really helped with not being anxious about the birth.

I've just completed the online course from the positive birth company. It's £39 be honestly I can't recommend it highly enough. It has totally changed my mindset and I feel so prepared for whatever my birth experience brings

My local hospital charges £250 for it - 4/5 sessions. I'm very anxious about giving birth (always have been)

If it helps I don't mind paying. The midwife who runs it comes to your house for one to one sessions. I'm starting it next week so hoping it helps

There's a segment on hypnobirthing on This Morning today for anyone interested
