Carry cot or just lie flat car seat?

Hi

So I’ve started pram shopping. I think from recommendations we’re going for a bugaboo bee or am I candy raspberry as I need something easy to use on public transport

We also need a car seat that can be fixed by seat belt in a taxi.

I’ve researched the Cybex q which allows baby to lie completely flat once attached to the pram.

So I’m wondering if I need a carry cot as well?

I’m aware that baby’s can’t stay in a car seat for longer than 2 hours of sitting but he will only need to sit up for the journey which will probably mostly be 20min or less. So once we arrive at the destination once the cybex car seat is reclined to flat on the pram I’m wondering if it’s just as suitable as a carry cot to push him around in.

We don’t have a car so If I got out in a taxi I won’t be able to carry both a car seat and carry cot. Although obviously if I take the bus or walk I won’t need the car seat.

I’ve emailed cybex also but Any thoughts very welcome

Cat xx

It’s actually Recommended only 30mins now , And we’ve ordered the cybex z we were told a good few hours in lie flat mode was okay As it’s what it’s made for so I would say you should be okay assuming as you’ll have take baby out for feeds etc Anyway and arnt leaving baby for 5+hours x
