Hi
Newly pregnant with no 2 and wondered if others are in the same boat. This is much wanted but now it's happening I'm anxious - how will I juggle two? - how will it affect my toddler? Would love to chat to others also preparing for the same adjustment or hear words of wisdom from those who'v done it. Thanks.

Hey @serraserra36, I'm expecting number 2, due in July. My DS is almost 2.5. I'm excited, but also apprehensive about the same things as you have mentioned! How are you doing? 😊

Hi @MrsBudd thanks for your reply and congrats on being pregnant with dc2! My age gap will be similar (a couple of months bigger). Do you have lots of family help? Will your dc1 be in childcare or home with you?

Thank you 😊 my DS goes to nursery two days per week then my parents look after him one day per week so I think we will be sticking with this when new baby arrives... When is your baby due? I'm planning on tackling potty training in the next few weeks 😕 would like to get it done well in advance of new baby due in July! Eek!

Due August. We have childcare three days a week and wondering if I should up it as daunted by two days with two!

A bit nervous it'll be hard to get around, visit cafes or museums or shops with two in tow. I wanted this but now it's happening I'm scared!

Hey

I have recently gone from 1 to 2!

My DD turned 3 a few weeks after I had DS. He is now 5 months.

I spent my entire pregnancy stressing out about how I would manage, but I have to say it's been incredible.

I have 2.5 days nursery for my DD and 1 day she spends with my mum. So I get a good amount of time just with DS on my own. (Which has been really important for resting)

Everything was different this time round and I have enjoyed it much more. DS just kind of slotted right into our routine and is so much more easy going than PFB lol!

Wish I never spent my whole pregnancy worrying.

One thing I have recently started doing is asking my mum to take my DS out for long walks once a week and I dedicated that time to play with DD with no distractions. And she hasn't seemed to suffer any jealousy ... yet!

Good luck and congratulations

I listed to the Second Baby Book by Sarah Ockwell-Smith on audiobook and really found it helpful in managing my own thoughts and worries about having two, and how it would effect my toddler mostly.

Due December with my second. DD will be 4 when its born. She'll be at nursery full time then so hopefully itll go okay.
