I'm due 11th Jan. Just started my third trimester!
Hoping to not have the baby at Christmas!

mummytobe2020 · 19/10/2019 20:40

@Boymummy3 I am due 26th of January too and I feel absolutely massive ! I can't even deal with it, honestly ! How's it all going for you ? I'm super super unlucky and still have nausea all the time. I need to make myself sick most days at least once or twice just to have a bit of relief. It sucks ! Are you having a girl or boy ? First or second / third etc ? I'm having a girl, first time mummy to be.

elvis4nuts · 19/10/2019 20:43

I'm also first time mum to a girl and have constant nausea 🙈 Am sitting watching X Factor with a sick bowl!

Boymummy3 · 19/10/2019 20:48

Oh fingers crossed for you that you dont have a christmas baby! My original due date was 25th dec because they got my dates wrong so I'm actually glad I'm now due Jan instead!

@mummytobe2020 oh yay I have a pregnancy twin!! I feel absolutely rubbish safe to day nausea went a while back but heartburn soon kicked in with restless legs/arms and literally feel like my back is going to snap any minute!! In also measuring 4 weeks ahead and baby is on top line yay for me having a mahoosive baba! It's my 3rd baby and 3rd boy! Aww I loved my 1st pregnancy but hated 2nd and this one thank god it's my last lol. Has your midwife not reccomend anything for the nausea to help you ease it? Xx

Boymummy3 · 19/10/2019 20:53

@elvis4nuts oh I so feel for you. It's an absolute nightmare isn't it! I never thought it would be so hard to be pregnant. Every meal is like torture as I know the dreaded nausea is on the way straight after. Nothing helps, NOTHING! Congrats on your baby girlie. I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. I hear the nausea literally stops the moment the baby comes out !

mummytobe2020 · 19/10/2019 21:00

@Boymummy3 Sorry to hear you are suffering from restless legs. How do you know you're measuring a month ahead ?? I haven't had any growth type scans / measurements yet ? ! Is that normal ? I do get an extra scan at 28 weeks as I suffer form multiple sclerosis and that means you get one extra routine scan as the baby might be on the smaller side because of the multiple sclerosis. In any case, I was really really suffering with restless legs and constant insomnia the last few weeks and then started taking magnesium supplements and I think they've helped ! Not immediately, but after about a week. I now don't have the problems anymore and seem to be sleeping much better. A couple of weeks ago, I could only sleep 2-3 hours a night. Maybe you should try magnesium !

poposaurus · 19/10/2019 21:03

Im also due 26th Jan! Starting to feel big now too & getting out of breath easily. 14 weeks to go!!

mummytobe2020 · 19/10/2019 21:05

@poposaurus ah cool ! Congrats ! Have you bought much stuff yet ?

poposaurus · 19/10/2019 21:07

No @mummytobe2020, not bought anything! Have you? I feel abit superstitious about having stuff in the house which I know is mad! Im not really sure where to start with it either!

mummytobe2020 · 19/10/2019 21:10

@poposaurus I'm actually the same ! I haven't got anything either. Apart form a parcel of knitted stuff my grandma sent me, I personally haven't got anything. But when do you think will be the right time ? I'm also being a bit superstitious. Which is silly. But I'm starting to wonder, when am I going to take the plunge ? What about you ? I'm starting to feel a bit anxious and unprepared and worried it will be a mad rush and stressful. I also don't know where to start !

nataliemum25 · 19/10/2019 21:14

I'm due 2nd January, and I'm so uncomfortable 🥵 feel massive x

mummytobe2020 · 19/10/2019 21:14

@Boymummy3 have you bought much stuff yet for the baby ? Seeing as you have other babies already- when do you recommend to start buying stuff ?

poposaurus · 19/10/2019 21:14

Oh god @mummytobe2020 I feel exactly the same!! I want to leave it as late as possible but also dont want to be unprepared! Im thinking just after Christmas but maybe that will too late. Sometimes it feels like ages away but I reckon the time will go past so quick!

mummytobe2020 · 19/10/2019 21:18

@poposaurus I was thinking after Christmas as well. But when I told my MIL she got really judgemental and said that's way too late. So now I'm thinking I should probably get stuff before, just in case I'm super unprepared and then get criticised by my MIL. You just don't know. Baby is ready to come at any time from week 37. Well, baby could come even earlier, so perhaps before Christmas is the best time. I don't think that's too presumptuous. It's so silly, as if being superstitious will change the outcome !

QueenBeex · 19/10/2019 21:20

I'm due the 10th January Cake

QueenBeex · 19/10/2019 21:22

My baby is also measuring the top line on the chart, if it goes up or down I might get another scan apparently.

poposaurus · 19/10/2019 21:22

I know, its so silly! Yeah maybe pre Christmas is better, at least then its all done & those last weeks in Jan will be less stressful!

Boymummy3 · 19/10/2019 23:55

@mummytobe2020 I've heard of magnesium supplements I was going to bring this up with midwife when I next see her on 31st to see if it's ok to take I've read alot take them though so maybe I should just get some instead of waiting!!
Well my last app she measured me because she said I look clinically bigger said usually they dont measure till after 26 weeks anyway I measured at 28 weeks instead of 24.. so i got sent for GTT and a growth scan, baby is around 2lb at the moment everything is measuring the same apart from his belly is measuring bigger which puts him on the top line they said hes just got a chubby belly lol but my last baby was 9lb 8oz so 9 wasnt expecting a small one this time. so now just got to wait see what midwife says at my 28 week app they may just keep an eye on growth or send me for another scan we shall see ahh least you get to see your baba again its mad seeing them so late on in pregnancy it all looks squished in there lol.

Yes I've bought quite a few bits already I was actually thinking to myself yesterday I need get a shift on with buying! I think I'm worrying more because of Christmas and January is always a crappy time for money so trying to be more prepared.

@poposaurus
Yay! Another Twinnie!! Only 14 weeks indeed seems like a lifetime doesnt it though!

@nataliemum25 ahh congrats! Bet you cant wait can you! Not long now xxx

Boymummy3 · 19/10/2019 23:57

@QueenBeex
Same as me then we expecting big baby's! This little ones expected weight is around 10lb 1/2oz if I go full term but they can never predict it correct anyway read so many things about them saying baby is big/small and being wrong so we shall see eh when the time comes xx

My bump measured big at my last midwife appointment too. Got a growth scan on Thursday.
Near enough everyone I've spoken to has said they've measured big at one point or another! Not sure the tape measure things is very accurate!

emmz1712 · 20/10/2019 08:58

I’m due 26th January too with our baby girl Smile!! Feeling huge and bloated and quite ready for the next 14 weeks to fly by Grin I miss wearing normal clothes!

sophiemarie2020 · 20/10/2019 09:53

I'm due 21st January feeling huge! I can't wait for maternity leave now 😂

dottyrobin · 20/10/2019 10:06

Can I join? I'm due 8th Jan. Had first measure at 28 week appointment and I'm above the top line - she didn't seem too concerned though, she just booked me in again for 3 weeks time.

I've bought absolutely nothing for baby - I was waiting for black friday sales Grin
I bought a maternity clothes bundle off ebay for work stuff but I bought more stuff yesterday as I just feel huge and don't have enough clothes!

I bought a magnesium rub for my legs before bed - I still get the odd foot cramp which wakes me up but nothing as bad as it has been. The problem now is my hips have started really hurting whilst lying down and I've been waking every 2 hours to roll over. I can only think it's going to get worse soon!!
