I am tentatively starting this thread, as I got my bfp today and don't think there's an April bus yet. Any one want to join and hand hold through these first uncertain weeks?
I'm 35, been ttc dc2 for a little while.

Thank you :-) just need to get control of the anxiety I think as the stress cannot help the situation.

Good luck with the sickness, sounds horrendous!

PrincessConsuela12 · 03/09/2019 17:52

@Puppymum Aw so pleased for you, now you can relax a little 💜

@snipples Sorry to hear that, hope you're feeling better soon xx

Razzmatazz78 · 04/09/2019 14:05

Hi all.

I am joining this group but may end up moving over to the May 2020 group. My EDD is coming in around the 29th April but a few websites have said early May who knows Confused

I'm 27 and my hubby is nearly 28, we got married in April this year and we've been together nearly 8 years. This will be our first child. We're very very lucky to have gotten pregnant very quickly and easily. We were technically not trying/not preventing since the wedding.
I had starting taking folic acid and bought ovulation test for when we decided to start really trying.

So far only me and the hubby know and we're going to try and keep it to ourselves until after the scan but I might have to tell my manager at work earlier than that. I'm also convinced my Mum already knows!

I've got my first midwife appt next week Grin

I'm feeling quite anxious just because we got pregnant so easy I'm expecting something to go wrong because it seems too good to be true. I also feel quite guilty because I have family members who have struggled to conceive and had IVF and I literally fell pregnant, it's really unfair and I'm nervous about telling them because I know pregnancy announcements can be heartbreaking for others.
I'm excited and a bit scared but we're as ready as we'll ever be.

Sorry for the essay, it's just good to get this out to someone other than my hubby who feels the same so can't really offer advice.

Ithinkthatsenough · 04/09/2019 18:39

@Puppymum very pleased for you xx i also had an early scan today, heart beating away and no concerns. But ive been here before and i just cant take any joy from it at the moment...Sad

Puppymum · 04/09/2019 20:07

@Ithinkthatsenough I'm glad to hear your early scan went well, I guess we'll be keeping our fingers crossed together that this time is different. Its just so hard isn't it :-(

@Razzmatazz78 welcome and congratulations!
I'm sure your family will just be pleased for you and probably relieved that you aren't suffering the same fertility problems. I know that with all the miscarriages I've had, when anyone announces their pregnancy, especially unplanned ones, it does hurt. But at the very same time I am always absolutely elated for them.

So my nausea kicked in this morning. I had to keep snacking to keep it at bay. Problem was I was in a very important, very high level, big wig in suits, meeting at work! I was struggling between looking unprofessional pulling the mini chedders from my pocket, or risk vomming on the conference table. Fun times!

Hi everyone. Haven't RTFT but wanted to say hello! My EDD so far is 15th April. I have a viability scan on Monday as I'm T1 diabetic so I'm high risk.... Second baby for me, but had my first before I got diabetes, so feels like my first pregnancy again!
Really excited , but nervous....

PrincessConsuela12 · 06/09/2019 15:37

Hello @eggofmantumbi Welcome & Congratulations 💐 xx

Jakeysmammy · 07/09/2019 15:24

Can I join?. I’ve just found out I’m 10 weeks with our 2nd DC!

Eshaar · 07/09/2019 15:59

Hello @Jakeysmammy @eggofmantumbi - Welcome and congratulations!! Thanks

Jakeysmammy · 07/09/2019 16:02

Thank you @Eshaar

PrincessConsuela12 · 07/09/2019 18:03

@Jakeysmammy Congratulations! 10 weeks, you lucky thing! I found out at around 3+4 so things are going ever so slowly x

Tweedlady · 08/09/2019 11:24

Hi everyone, another hello for April 2020 all being well, EDD 17th of April. Had my booking appt last week which went ok considering the massive issues we have had with local midwife unit which we have now asked to be moved from due to lack of trust. (Issue involved a massive breach of personal information which they have admitted but may still go legal due to severity so don’t want to say anymore just now).... not the stress free start we wanted!

eggofmantumbi · 09/09/2019 07:16

Off for my viability scan this morning. Nervous excitement is the name of the game. Also seeing the diabetes pregnancy team so looking at about 3 hours there.
Lovely to have somewhere to say these things that I don't want to reveal in reality yet!

PrincessConsuela12 · 09/09/2019 08:02

@eggofmantumbi Good luck with the appointment 😊

snipples · 09/09/2019 14:26

Hope your appointment goes well @eggofmantumbi

I am really suffering on the sickness front. I think my HG is back that I had with pregnancy 1. It's been horrible. Having a scan next week at the 8 week mark and then going to tell boss so I can work from
Home more often. Feel absolutely rotten.

Hope you're all well.

Eshaar · 09/09/2019 16:59

Hi all, i am on my 7th week now but i am throwing up whenever i eat something. Even water. Is that normal? I am so worried. I took off from work today and from morning i vomited thrice (everything i ate).

Not sure how am i going to cope up at work. Wanted to inform work after 12 weeks.

eggofmantumbi · 09/09/2019 19:59

Confirmed that I'm 8+5 at scan and all looks healthy: already from some weird blob they couldn't identify it. Feels much more real now!

I imagine I'll be moving to March though, as my diabetes nurse said they won't let me go past about 38 weeks!

snipples · 10/09/2019 06:22

Glad appt went well @eggofmantumbi.

@Eshaar your sickness sounds similar to how mine started. Have you been able to keep anything down? How long has it been going on for? You might want to pop in to have your urine checked for ketones as you might need fluids if you're dehydrated. Please don't wait to do this, just go. You'll feel tonnes better with the fluids. Normal morning sickness makes you feel awful but you should still be able to eat.

Persistent sickness and inability to keep water down points more to HG which can be dangerous if not treated. I am currently throwing up about 8-10 times a day and that's on meds.

Eshaar · 10/09/2019 09:34

Thanks @snipples

Till day before yesterday i use to vomit but once but after that i will be fine. But yesterday, I couldn't even open my mouth. Whenever whatever i eat i was throwing up after 20 mins.

I called GP today and i was told to wait for couple of days to observe if its still the same. I have not been referred to mid wife yet. GP said process is done and i will get call only by 10th week.

Thanks,
Ramaa

snipples · 10/09/2019 14:20

Oh bless you - until you see the doc just try and get fluids into you in any way you can tolerate. Little ice lollies or sucking on ice can help. Avoid anything too acidic. Full fat coke (flat) can help. I won't insult your intelligence by suggesting ginger biscuits but even dry toast or plain crackers can help. Hope you feel better soon x

Emmaserg · 12/09/2019 12:03

Hi all, hope I'm ok to join. I'm just over 6 weeks now and feeling really anxious over a missed miscarage 2 years ago. I had a scan when I was nearly 5 weeks after getting pain in my shoulder to rule out an atopic. A yolk sac could be seen which is great at that stage but I was a mess😥 convinced both myself and my partner that they wouldnt find anything. I have another scan next week, I will be 7 weeks then. So a heartbeat should be seen. I feel different this time round with alot more symptoms and tiredness so I'm taking it as a good sign. 🤞🤞🤞🤞 love reading everyone's posts as we are keeping it quiet for now x

Eshaar · 12/09/2019 12:48

@Emmaserg Welcome and congratulations Thanks

Eshaar · 12/09/2019 12:57

@Emmaserg - Nothing to worry. Stay happy and be positive. Everything will be fine. I will keep you in my prayers.

Sunshine8888 · 12/09/2019 13:44

Hello, my EDD from LMP is 23 April but I could be a week or two later in reality due to irregular cycles. I saw a heartbeat at 6 weeks which was lovely but keep reading messages about ladies who then went on to mc, it’s heatbreaking and fills me with anxiety. I think I’ll have to book another scan in the next couple of weeks to keep myself sane.

I have been having little bleeds too which are terrifying. The sonographer couldn’t see any bleeding around the pregnancy and said it could be down to cervical biopsies in the past and having been on the pill for a long time. Either way I hate it. I worry every time I go to the loo! Which is a lot as I need to wee all the time atm!

I’ve not suffered with any sickness so far, sore boobs and tiredness is about as bad as it’s got. I’m not complaining but hope everything is ok 🤞🏻 Sorry for the essay x

Emmaserg · 12/09/2019 19:38

Thank you 😊😊x
