I vaguely remember that the discharge can bleach your knickers too. So flushable liners is probably a good shout!

It's all just so lovely.

Beeseeinya · 29/06/2019 23:26

My nipples have gone purple.
And I stink all the time, fanny yes but also under the arms, no amount of deodorant top up helps. I don't even get that sweaty!
At the moment I walk around the house swearing like a trooper as my fanny hurts so much from the spd. That's a new one this week. Swearing through every movement makes it bearable. Does not bode well for labour...

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/06/2019 07:36

I am a very sweary labour person.

We had a bit of a bbq yesterday and think i have burnt a bit on my chest. Itchy. There is also a big clean up needed now too which i cba with. Plus dc need to do homework and 2 have activities to be taken to.

30+3 today

My belly button popped a while ago too, but I don't actually have much of a belly button so it's only really a little bit sticky out.
Yes to the sweats too. My main worry is when I'm at work, the bit just under my bump sweats so much in my work mat dress. I have to check for sweat patches when I stand up!

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/06/2019 07:41

I dont (that i am aware of) stink.

Since i had my dc1 though i did find that my body changed somehow in that only certain deodrants will do. I tend to stick to sure stuff. Before i had kids i could use anything. Once i had dc1 it was like whatever i ate leaked from my arm pits Blush

I’m only on DC1 but my belly button’s been out since about 22 weeks. DH thinks it’s hilarious but it creeps me out a bit!

Under-boob sweat and sweaty pants a real issue yesterday, but not as bad as the thigh rubs that I’m suffering from Blush.

IVEgottheDECAF · 30/06/2019 07:47

Thank god i am not the only belly button person Grin

My belly button hasn’t popped yet but the skin around it went really weird quite early on, it’s got some squidgy bits. Gives me the heebies!!

I had horrendous sweaty pants in trimester 2, it has been not so bad last few weeks despite the heat, but I had to ditch all underwear that isn’t 100% cotton.

Been very self conscious about smell too, loads of discharge, leaky bladder and sweat. Lovely!

BimbleBamble · 30/06/2019 08:13

@Fortheloveofscience anti chafing bands. Got some last summer and they are a game changer!!! Stops the pain, but leaves you cool, and magically stay up all day!

I ended up getting some reusable sani pads for the insane amount of discharge, but they don't seem to mask the smell so I'm using daily panty liners, feel bad for the planet.....but I guess it evens out by the fact I don't need to wash my jean's every day!

Might try the nappy liners though, I spent all last weekend doing the 3 prewashes on my little lamb nappies, they looked so cute on the line...I imagine that will wear off when I'm seeing it every 2 days or so, but looking forward to at least giving the reusable type a good try

kyles101 · 30/06/2019 08:13

No belly button popping here either, I asked my mum and hers didn't with all four of us, so fingers crossed that's genetic!!

Late night last night, finding it difficult to motivate myself to get up... eject with the lovely sun shining....

happytobemrsg · 30/06/2019 08:59

Belly button didn’t pop with DS1 & not showing any signs here yet!

strawberrylaces88 · 30/06/2019 09:09

My bellybutton has been out since 20 weeks! Sometimes in the morning it's flat but eat anything and out it pops again!

Dyra · 30/06/2019 09:36

No popped belly button here either. I'll be impressed if it does though. It's quite deep.

(TMI time) I've not had much in the way of discharge recently, but I am no stranger to the sweaty undercarriage outside of pregnancy. Luckily it hasn't gotten noticeably worse inside of pregnancy.

challengeyourreality · 30/06/2019 09:41

Belly button popping out here too, from veery early on - before 20 weeks. Dc find it very amusing, I find it very sensitive.
And wet bras too, been washing them every night after wearing. Changing pants multiple times a day too and they're all getting a bit tight so will have to order a size up.
Have gone up a size in Maternity clothes too so need a new dress or 2 but putting off spending the money as it's for such a short time.
Also feeling strong food aversions and struggling in the supermarket with nausea. Have a constant acid reflux that feels a bit like I've just been sick and have a bit of flu but without any other flu symptoms. Never had this before and I don't like it.
Been taking a nap through the day too as I'm very tired. I had my iron tested and my levels were low (7) so that might explain? I think I will call my midwife to ask.
Feels better to know others are feeling the 3rd trimester coming on too and it's perfectly normal symptoms. 29+4 today.

Puglover88 · 30/06/2019 10:19

I don’t have an outie yet, but I don’t really have an innie anymore either - it’s more like a flattie!

What are people’s movements like? I’m 28 weeks on the dot today and baby still has quiet days. I do have an anterior placenta but the midwife said that shouldn’t make a difference?

Whisky2014 · 30/06/2019 10:48

Yeh that's a fair mix of the innie/outies

I just squeezed my nipple and some clear sticky liquid came out of about 5 pores! 8a that colostrum?! Should I be harvesting this?!

KnobJockey · 30/06/2019 11:01

@challengeyourreality I've outgrown most of my original maternity wear, and I'm just on the stretchy stuff now, but I bought a couple of these from h&m- non maternity, and not the most flattering, but they're cheap at £9, light and comfy. I'm basically living in them on the days I need comfy! I'm a size 12-14 normally, my bump is measuring really big, and the medium is still big enough to feel like I'm wearing a nightie.

excitednerves · 30/06/2019 11:05

@Puglover88 I also have an anterior placenta, we will definitely feel less this way. I’ve been told that by my midwife and triage when I went to get checked for reduced movement. I’ve been told if I have a quiet day to drink something really cold and lie on my left side (for up to an hour) before calling.

Otherwise it doesn’t make a difference to baby’s development, labour, or any of that. Just harder to feel movement as you essentially have a cushion between you and baby.

KnobJockey · 30/06/2019 11:06

I have an outside, here too, but it's weird because it's squidgy. If I push it in, it stays an innie for a few seconds before popping again!

DustyDoorframes · 30/06/2019 11:17

I'm a flattie too- and yes yes to the funny squidgyiness round the sides. Our poor bodies!

How are you doing @TwittleBee ? Thinking of you lots.

boodles101 · 30/06/2019 11:42

whiskey yes that'll be colostrum. I did the same the other day and got quite excited haha. Don't worry about harvesting yet, you can start to harvest after 36 weeks if you want to but I didn't with my DS. Harvesting before 36weeks can cause early labour.

Stroan · 30/06/2019 11:56

@whisky2014 I'm going to try harvesting from 36 weeks, it's recommended for GD pregnancies. I wouldn't bother just now, I think it's a fairly thankless task to get tiny drops!

RonaldWeasley · 30/06/2019 11:57

@Puglover88 I have an anterior placenta too and it definitely impacts what movements I can feel. He's moved to head down in the last week or so since my last panic about fetal movement and his legs are up where my placenta is. I can still sort of feel the kicks but they're definitely softer, like he's kicking from behind a pillow. They're quite easy to miss if I'm busy or moving about a lot. I'm 28 weeks on Wed and wouldn't say I've sussed a routine yet - definitely some much quieter days than others!

Puglover88 · 30/06/2019 12:12

That’s good to hear re movement! Ah when I went for a growth scan, I wasn’t feeling much movement and she was head down too so maybe that affected it. In fact she was so far down, the midwife struggled to get a measurement, she was literally in my pelvis!

@KnobJockey sounds like you have an entertaining belly button! 😂

Hoping you and baby are doing well @TwittleBee

Whisky2014 · 30/06/2019 12:24

Harvesting before 36weeks can cause early labour. yikes I best stop squeezing them then!

Ok i did read the harvesting is only really necessary for GD pregnancies and maybe something else. Not really required in a "normal" pregnancy which is me so guess I don't need to.

Does the colostrum I have now just stay in my breasts until baby is born?!

i think it's a fairly thankless task to get tiny drops! I did wonder if the amount I was seeing would increase but if not, there's no way I'd harvest those tint amounts Grin
