for some reason ive always had to wait till i was about 9 weeks to get a positive test, i have 3 kids, but this time i didnt want to wait so after i was about a week and a half late i went to the doctors, they gave me a blood test and it came back with only a 2 which thay said is negative, i went back again today and the doctor gave me another blood test due back friday, but said he was only giving me it to prove i wasnt, that there is no way that you can be pregnant and get a 2 on your hcg test, my last period was may 24th i had the first test on july 6th, can he be wrong about the test this was the first blood test ive ever had to take, so im lost, and why would you even have a blood test of 2 if you werent wouldnt you only have hcg is you were, my email is [email protected] if anyone has any info

i was the same with both of my pregnancys. i did several tests early on as i was late but they didnt show up positive with either of them until i reached 12 weeks. i have just recently had my af stop and thougth i may be pg again, waiting for 12 weeks to come to do another test as first test was BFN.
i thought the blood tests were more accurate but if you only produce the hormone HCG after a certain number of wks then it will still be a negative. i would re-test later on..GP's don't like to admit that tests can be wrong!

I had the same thing, thought i was weird

This time round showed up at 6 weeks, but previously with dd i had 2 blood tests and both said I wasnt when i clearly was.
My GP told me that blood tests are no different to pee on a stick types, as they both look for same hormone levels.
Good lucka nd hope its the results you want.

Lisa
