Hi!

I think (well pretty certain) I started to feel baby move last week little tumbling feels along with little taps that I’ve convinced myself are little kicks.

I’m so excited it makes it that little bit more real.

Anybody else due in October and how has the pregnancy been for you?

There's a dedicated bit of the forum in a Becoming a parent where you can chat about stuff like this, somebody might tell you exactly where in a bit as I'm not sure.

It's the Pregnancy forum.
There are October due date threads there.

I'm due October 16th with my first (18 weeks today 😁) and I've been feeling little movements for the past week. My 20 week scan is in two weeks, so excited/nervous! Congratulations on your pregnancy x

Neverbroken · 15/05/2019 13:19

I’m due 22nd! Was 17 weeks on Sunday. What does it feel like to you? I find it the oddest yet cutest thing. Mines not until june 20th which I’m annoyed about as I'll be 22+ by then and the wait will kill me. Thinking about getting it done privately but at £99 it’s quite expensive.

Congratulations to you too and all the October ladies ❤️

Mine feels like little pokes from the inside, I dont really get the fluttering description. I heard kicks described on here as the feeling when you're holding a little frog in cupped hands and it's trying to escape, that seems pretty accurate to me! I'm quite lucky, I will be 20 weeks exactly for my scan. At least you are feeling movements to reassure you while you wait, I would be frustrated too at having to wait until 22 weeks!

I'm due October 12th but haven't felt anything yet. Apparently this is pretty normal for a first pregnancy. Of course, I could be mistaking baby movements for bowel gurgling/bubblings and such. But apparently its not unusual for it not to start until around 24 weeks with a first baby.

Hi there,
Happy pregnancies to you all! We've moved this over to the right board now.

Neverbroken · 15/05/2019 16:01

@MrFlibblesEyes mine too like little taps, I wouldn’t call mine fluttering but like little tumbles right down below

This is my first but I think I’m just overly aware of it and because I’ve felt it preetty much everyday since I’m pretty certain. I know it’s not gas because that hurts and then it comes out pretty much straight away lol

I'm due 26th October. now feeling the'flutter ' most days. strange feeling like butterflies fighting!

MrFlibblesEyes · 21/05/2019 16:03

Thats great! It's so exciting isn't it- theres a real little person in there!

Neverbroken · 21/05/2019 17:56

I feel like I feel 3 different sensations

Taps which I assume are kicks
The flutter feeling which I have no idea what is and another I call the marbles where it feels like there’s a bag of marbles rolling right at the bottom of my belly.
She is very active and for longer periods now.

Oooh I get the marbles feeling (it's happening right now actually ❤️) it kind of makes me feel like I need a wee though!

Neverbroken · 22/05/2019 00:05

I find that I only really need to wee when I start walking which I find odd. Went to meet my friend and felt like I was bursting on the walk to the bus stop. Get on bus and sit down, all is fine. Get off walk & I’m bursting again. Also very glad I looked in my appointments my 20 week scan is actually 4th June so glad I won’t have to wait until I’m 22 weeks

That's good news! Mines a week today 🤞🏼

MrFlibblesEyes · 29/05/2019 18:36

Scan went well today, everything measuring perfectly and baby flibble is a boy 💙. Couldn't be happier! Fingers crossed for you for the 4th x

Neverbroken · 30/05/2019 10:38

Aww I’m so happy for you!!! ❤️🥰👏🏾 Have you bought anything for baby yet?

OP posts:
MrFlibblesEyes · 30/05/2019 12:42

Not yet, we went to tesco to have a quick look on our way back from the scan but we couldn't find anything that we wanted for our first item. We really want a cute babygrow or something but although there was some quite nice things they were all a little impractical for a newborn! We are off work next week so might have a look at some bigger purchases in town and maybe paint the babies room ❤️

Neverbroken · 05/06/2019 05:41

What colour are u going for baby’s room? I had scan yesterday everything was great, she loves cuddling her placenta! Haha so adorable
