Finding out I'm pregnant at 35 weeks

Hi, I only found out I'm pregnant three weeks ago due to no visible bump or what I considered as symptoms. I'm 38 weeks atm. I never thought this could be me as I was always skeptical of these stories and thought how could you not know. My anxiety is thought the roof as I've taking no pre natal vitamins and I've been drinking alcohol almost the entire pregnancy. I've probably drink a bottle of wine every Saturday night. I'm terrified I've caused Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. All is measured correctly on my scan but I'm still up the walls. Can anyone offer advice please

Firstly, it's hard, but stop worrying and thinking of the what ifs- you're just making yourself stressed, and that's literally the last thing you need right now! Try your very hardest to put all of that out your head until the baby is here.

Start thinking practicalities- have you told work? Do you need to go off ASAP? Baby needs clothes, nappies, somewhere to sleep, something to eat. Do you feel you can breastfeed? It would be totally understandable if not at this short notice! But if not- milk for hospital, and some bottles, formula and steriliser for coming out. Nappies- I've heard Aldi and Asda are very good, and I use Aldi sensitive wipes for me. Sleepsuits, vests, socks and cardigans- enough for a few days in hospital. Couple of cellular blankets to get you started. Moses basket second hand from gumtree maybe, or anyone around you who can give you their used stuff?

This must be so, so hard for you to get your head around. But you will, you have to! So crack on and do it, you'll feel more in control for doing it anyway.

Congrats! Try not to stress! My aunty is a big lady and has 2 kids and with both of her pregnancies she had no idea until she had actually given birth! She drank throughout her pregnancies and both of my cousins turned out perfectly healthy babies. I'm sure yours will be fine too :-)
