May I observe your baby?

Hello mums and mum's to-be,
I'm on a Master's level child psychotherapy course and I am learning about how a new baby grows and develops.

I need to spend an hour each week watching a new baby (under 4 weeks old) respond to their surroundings and noticing their little actions (smiles, cries, movements or even just sleeping).

At the end of the observation period, I will be asked to write about what I have learned about a developing baby.

Would you be willing to allow me observe your baby? I'm looking for a mom with EDD in Dec2018 or Jan2019 or with a baby under 4-weeks old. The observation will take place at your home at a time convenient for you.

I know this can be a big ask but your contribution would be greatly appreciated. You will not have to prepare for me, make me any drinks or worry about me in anyway. I will just be a fly on the wall for that hour each week. I am also not allowed to provide care for your baby or engage in family activities.

I have an enhanced DBS and I am answerable to my University.

I am looking for mums in the Black Country (Sandwell and Dudley area). Please send me a private message if you're interested and we can discuss in detail.

Thank you.
