Due March 2008 - is it real?

Oh my. Have name changed as I feel like a wee bit of a muppet for coming here while a bit uncertain. Will change back when I know one way or t'other for sure.

Was lurking over a cafe buffet this morning with DS, utterly unable to decide what I wanted to have for lunch. Told myself I'd have the chips but that they would probably taste metallic. Remembered how last night all the food in the house was unappealing, except two corn on the cob (?!).

Penny then dropped, though our TTC last month consisted I thought of getting it on magnificently before and after fertile time. Whipped into Boots for a 1st response after figuring I am 3 days pre-AF. Just got a faint but-its-there positive. BBC website says due date is 1st March.

Anyone else yet? I will not tell dp until the line is brighter for point and show effect, so will probably re-test Friday am. I will be keeping my news, if this really is news, virtual apart from twlling him for as long as possible, as I'm older, my thyroid is knackered and my miscarriage and anomaly risks are high.

Other than that, I am having a little smile:

Sorry 3madboys being a bit thick whats psd?

I'm with you "trying for a boy" how can you try for a boy exactly. Tell you what I think I'll say well I've met someone on the internet and if it's a girl she said she'll swap with me, that will shut them up!

Are you going to find out the sex we are although we will have to pay for it just need to know whether to buy any new baby clothes.

3madboys · 02/07/2007 16:55

sorry that should have been spd

i had ti really badly in my first preg, but not so bad in the next two, but i am already getting stabbing pains in my pelvis!! i am booked in with the phsio tho so hopefully it will be ok

not sure about finding out the sex, i didnt with the other 3, have always been tempted, but my dp says that its the only true suprise you ever get so he doesnt want to!

i have loads of unisex little baby clothes, and if it s agirl she will have to wear the boys clothes, i dont do pink!!

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 17:00

Join the SPD club mine kicks in about 15 weeks (well has done with both) it's all round with me the three pelvic ligaments, I would say it's moderate so not painful enough to be on crutches or a wheelchair, it leaves the minute the baby comes out too. Not looking forward to it with 2 LOs to look after as well. Got really pissed off when people say backache is common in pregnancy with the weight you are carrying, erm at 15 weeks I think not!

Anyway rant over another baby is well worth it!

Does anyone else feel like it's limbo land now, got over the excitement of the BFP now just waiting for the 12 week scan and starting to get a belly? I don't feel any different at all!

3madboys · 02/07/2007 17:04

i know, when i was preg with ds1 a conultant told me "it was normal to be uncomfortable"!! i wasnt just uncomfortable, i couldnt move! hence why i was hospitalised!! honestly, then they botched my labour and put me in stirrups making it worse!

i had probs for two yrs after ds1 but luckily when i had ds2 i gave birth upright and it helped my pelvis realign

the same with ds3, stayed upright etc and i plan on doing the same this time.

it is a nightmare with littlies to look after, dp is already telling me off for picking up ds3 etc

it doesnt feel real to me either, apart from feeling sick and faint! i dont normally get a bump till i am 20wks or so!

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 17:12

I was twirling the two DDs around today and thought I really shouldn't be doing this. I think picking up heavy toddlers can't be avoided.

3madboys · 02/07/2007 17:13

how do i do a 'profile' page? so that when members click on my name it will show them some info about me?

3madboys · 02/07/2007 17:17

ahh i think i have done it now

and yes picking up heavy toddlers is unavoidable unfortunately

marjoram · 02/07/2007 19:16

Hello all,
Is it possible for me to join this thread? I'm new to mumsnet and I have just found out that that I'm 5 and 1/2 weeks pregnant. Have a 7 year old dd as well. How strange is this to be pregnant again? I thought it was PMS but DP had a hunch. Amazing! Anyone else got backache and breasts of agony? lol.

siennammm · 02/07/2007 19:24

congrats to you!!! thats great, we have a big age gap too - Josh is 5, although Molly is nearly 11 months and we are expecting, due 2nd March - so whats your due date?? yeah, sore boobs from hell at the minute, and very emotional and hormonal - my dh HATES me at the minute!! X

marjoram · 02/07/2007 19:26

Gosh, pregnancy brain has really kicked in! I'm actually 4 and 1/2 weeks pregnant, due 9th March 2008.

3madboys · 02/07/2007 19:35

congrats!! you are both due near me, i am 5wks preg and due on the 5th march!!

i dont have sore boobs but i do have a bad case of preg brain ah well 35wks to go!!

softmusk · 02/07/2007 19:52

i due on the 2nd of march would u say i am 5 weeks or 6

marjoram · 02/07/2007 19:52

This is a little embarrassing but hey, I've given birth, not much makes me blush these days, lol. I have a pain that comes and goes infrequently on the lower right side of my abdomen. Could it be constipation? I also have quite bad back ache (like period pain). I guess we're all worried about things going wrong and my heart goes out to the the 3 women who had m/cs.
Any advice will be gratefully received, I was last pregnant in 2000 so some details from then are a little hazy.

waiting4bambino · 02/07/2007 21:07

Sorry to hear that we've lost a few ladies today, my heart goes out to you all. I was really taking for granted that everything is going to be fine, but when you hear things like this, it just makes you realise how fragile life is...
Those of us still hanging on... hope all the morning sickness doesnt last too long, i felt awful this morning, lots of twinges all day, wasnt too worried until i read some of the messages on here... I seem to have niggles that are low, sometimes higher etc, and also, (even though this sounds ridiculous!) when in bend over i feel like there is something firm just under my ribs or lower and makes it harder for me to bend etc! Am i just being paranoid? I assumed being just 5/6 wks then i wouldnt really feel a thing!

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 21:27

hi marjoram welcome to our thread and welcome to mumsnet but be warned it is highly addictive and once it's sucked you in you can never get out congratulations on your pregnancy I'm officially 4+1 weeks today due 8th March. Don't know about your pains I get a few little niggles low down from time to time could be ligaments stretching as your womb begins to grow. Twinges/niggles/pain/aches etc just seem to be part of pregnancy I'm afraid, it'll get worse before it gets better

DP has started to think about names I refuse to talk (OK argue) with him until we know the sex then we can focus our arguments. We always had out boys and girls names set DD1 got our girls name then DD2 we couldn't decide for ages, haven't a clue for a DD for a DS DP has changed his ming argh! I think we go through the pain we should have final say. Anyone else thought of names yet?

lauzie · 02/07/2007 21:38

Hello can I join you all?

I think I'm due 9th march but might be wrong as I had IVF so obviously lmp thing doesn't work!, so I'll have my 1st scan (fingers crossed) probably around 19.07 and will know more then.

found out i'm pregnant on Sunday night, just coming out of shock!

Due early march. Just thought i'd pop in and say hello and then go back to wandering around dazed and confused!!

derah · 03/07/2007 09:03

Morning ladies

Feeling much more pregnant and less worried today. I went to bed early last night, but still slept through dh's alarm this morning, which is not like me. Usually, I hear his alarm but he doesn't so I have to poke him until he gets out of bed!!

Also woke up starving hungry and a bit nauseous. With my last pg, I was lucky enough only to feel sick when I was hungry, so hopefully it will be the same this time around. Need to get something to nibble on in the bedroom so I can take the edge off the hunger while I get myself and dd dressed and ready in the morning.

Anyway, gotta get moving, carpet fitters should be here soon and I need to walk the dogs..... Hope you're all well and blooming today!!

derah · 03/07/2007 09:04

Welcome Lauzie and Connor (love your screen name!!!)!!!

ConnorTraceptive · 03/07/2007 09:05

clearly failed to live up to it though

siennammm · 03/07/2007 09:48

well 5+2 this morning and still feeling no symptoms apart from being very hungry and have put on 5 pounds - god, by the time I give birth, if this carries on, i will look like a whale!! still worrying, as I was soooo poorly with both my other pregnancies but wondering if its too early for my sickness to kick in yet or if I am going to be in the 25% who escape hyperemesis the 3rd time/?

congrats to the new ladies and connor, I love your name too - very cool!!!!!

ConnorTraceptive · 03/07/2007 10:02

Hi sienna I was massively ill with hyperemesis with ds so I am worried about getting it this time as I'm not sure how i'll cope with a toddler too. I've tried to plan a head though and did a massive tesco shop yesterday and have loaded up the freezer with meals and the cupboards with tins and all stuff like nappies and wipes for ds so that it's easier on DH if I go out of action so to speak.

Last time the morning sickness started at 6 weeks so I guess i'll know soon if it's going to hapen again.

ConnorTraceptive · 03/07/2007 10:03

and if i get my but off mn then I'm supposed to be doing a major clean up of the house so that we are organised.

sweetkitty · 03/07/2007 10:34

morning all welcome and huge congratulations to connortraceptive

nothing new to report here still don't have any symptoms apart from needing to pee a bit more, boobs haven't even grown yet and they really need to! Still very early days.

Am having 2 friends over for a playdate today so the house will be filled with 5 little girls will be fun I'm sure just a pity they cannot play out in the garden. It goes from hot sunny to heavy rain in no time at all. Grass is like a bog so it's difficult to get them out to play.
