Oh my. Have name changed as I feel like a wee bit of a muppet for coming here while a bit uncertain. Will change back when I know one way or t'other for sure.

Was lurking over a cafe buffet this morning with DS, utterly unable to decide what I wanted to have for lunch. Told myself I'd have the chips but that they would probably taste metallic. Remembered how last night all the food in the house was unappealing, except two corn on the cob (?!).

Penny then dropped, though our TTC last month consisted I thought of getting it on magnificently before and after fertile time. Whipped into Boots for a 1st response after figuring I am 3 days pre-AF. Just got a faint but-its-there positive. BBC website says due date is 1st March.

Anyone else yet? I will not tell dp until the line is brighter for point and show effect, so will probably re-test Friday am. I will be keeping my news, if this really is news, virtual apart from twlling him for as long as possible, as I'm older, my thyroid is knackered and my miscarriage and anomaly risks are high.

Other than that, I am having a little smile:

siennammm · 02/07/2007 08:01

lissie, hope you are okay this morning? thinking of you??? XX ps i second that about your little man! gorgeous!!

derah · 02/07/2007 08:30

Lissie, I'm so sorry, how are you this morning? I've been keeping you in my thoughts. (((((((((((HUGS))))))))))

Morning ladies, can I join you? Got a BFP this morning!! I reckon I'm due mid-March. I already have a dd, 22 months, and looks like she's going to be a big sister. I'm not very keen on being pregnant - last pregnancy was easy but hated it anyway. But looking forward to the result.

Well, all very exciting to be pg again but also very scary when I think about what's to come!

No real symptoms yet except sore boobs, same as last time. Oh, and some indigestion too... lovely!!

Looking forward to getting to know you all....

Rainbowdays · 02/07/2007 08:32
  • looks like I might be leaving too, I had a negative hpt this morning, and I am currently getting blood tests to confirm the end of the pg.
derah · 02/07/2007 08:41

Oh no, Rainbowdays! So very sad for you. Sending you huge hugs.

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 08:48

oh lissie and rainbowdays I just logged on to see how you were doing and now I'm in tears for you both

lissie - are you going to the EPU anyway today?

I don't know what to say to you both other than I'm thinking of you and take care of yourselves

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 08:49

derah - congratulations on your BFP and welcome to the thread, I think you were on the ttc boards as well???

merryberry · 02/07/2007 09:04

oh no, lissie and rainbowdays, how are you doing?

and a big oh yes to the new ladies, welcome.

not sure if i'm around much today, stuff being collected from and delivered to house, do't know what free time i'll get.

derah · 02/07/2007 10:24

Hmmm, having a drink of water and I swear I can taste the chlorine!! Gonna have to get some mineral water!!

Feeling so bad for Lissie and Rainbowdays. Yes, Sweetkitty, I was on the ttc board so I've seen their posts there too. It's especially hard on the ttc threads and the birth clubs in the early stages since there's such a high rate of heartache. Very very sad.....

siennammm · 02/07/2007 12:07

oh god, feeling SO bad for you rainbowdays and lissie too, how are you doing? my thoughts are with you both so much today.... XXXX

LittleMissDetermined · 02/07/2007 12:29

Hi very recently found out i'm pregnant, found out a day after I received acceptance letter from uni. but hey ho i'm young can always go back in a couple of years!!I 've only told mum and partner, we are holding off telling anyone for a couple of weeks at least, although i'm not sure he'll cope!
Very scared and very excited. i hope to be on here everyday!!

Feeling bad for lissie and rainbowdays, makes me realise how precious life is.xx

DebitheScot · 02/07/2007 12:38

Af finally decided to make an appearance. A whole week late (and I'm 110% sure of the dates coz had last one when on holiday at half term) which is very odd. I've never been more than about 5 minutes late before.
Has made me sure that I deffinately want another one although I think we'll wait another few months so don't have to leave work half way through a school year again.

Very sad though now after reading the latest messages on here. Hope you both are ok soon

Rainbowdays · 02/07/2007 13:18

Hi congrats to all the newbies here.

I am sorry to have to confirm that my name needs to be removed from the list, as the miscarriage has now been confirmed. Bleeding and cramps have also started. SO I am leaving but want to wish you all happy and healthy pregnanceis.

Really gutted to hear the news from rainbowdays, debithescot and lissie (lissie, you seem convinced already you've lost this little one. Forgive me if I continue to hope?)

I've updated the stats just below, any comments or requests?

Welcome to littlemissdetermined - do you have a due date, and I a right in guessing no other kids yet, or not? What uni place are you putting on hold?

Derah, I can taste bleach in white flour products! I'm not really supposed to eat them, so hopefully this will stop me more - amongst other ladylike symptoms, wheat products make me snore like a drunken trooper.

Anyone else in state of panic about the pregnancy not sticking? When I was ttc I was taking every twinge as a sign of pregnancy, now I'm taking every twinge as a sign that it's not going to last. Aaargh, why is it all so hard!!

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 15:40

welcome LittleMissDetermined do you know when you are due yet? Shame about uni what were you going to study? It's only put on hold though. What age are you? (Sorry being nosy )

rainbowdays - sorry to hear you had the m/c confirmed life is so unfair sometimes, rest up and take care of yourself.

3madboys · 02/07/2007 16:24

(((lissie and rainbowdays)))

yes this is my fourth!! i must be mad!!

i am feeling pukey and faint now, so i know this is really happening, tho i cant wait for my scan to check all is ok

my others are ds1 who will be 8 in aug
ds2 who is 5 tomorrow!!!!

and ds3 who is 2 and a half.

havent told the boys yet, will wait till after my scan, we have talked to them about having another baby tho, ds1 is not sure if he wants another as they break all his lego models!

ds2 thinks it would be fab and ds3 is too little to understand but he loves babies and his fave toy is a doll at the moment

siennammm · 02/07/2007 16:29

congratulations 3madboys!!!

rainbowdays - so sorry that you have lost your precious little one - I really feel for you and just wanted to give you my thoughts.....XXXX

debithescot - so sorry for you too that the witch got you - it WILL happen for you - I am sure of it.

lissie - not sure what is happening but just want to let you know I am thinking of you - really hope the bleeding is under control hun..

everyone else - hope you are okay and symptom free XX

siennammm · 02/07/2007 16:30

oh and congrats littlemissdetermined - you can go back to uni - yep, thats true, enjoy your pregnancy and you will be back before you know it!! XX

3madboys · 02/07/2007 16:42

littlemissdetermined, you can do uni and have a baby!! it will be fine, hard work but fine!! i had ds1 whilst at uni, i got preg in my second yr at uni, had him during the summer hols, then took a year out, going back when he was 13mths old to complete my degree

it is hard work but worth it, and i have fab photos of when i graduated, i carried ds1 up with me to get my certificate and he joined in the 'graduate parade' with me!!

sweetkitty · 02/07/2007 16:43

3madboys - your boys sound fab I have asked DD1 nearly 3 if she wants a tiny baby she said no she wants a big girl like her to play with am sure she will be a total little mother to DB3 as she bosses DD2 about so much.

I'm going to get a T-shirt made up with:

  1. Yes it was planned
  2. Yes we do have a telly
  3. Yes I will have my hands full
  4. No we don't want a boy especially just a happy healthy baby

Am totally paranoid about this LO sticking. Does anyone else feel they are pushing their luck having 3 or more? I sometimes do I have 2 beautiful, healthy DDs, had OK pregnancies SPD aside, straightforward quick labours and bounced back really quickly. Will also be happy once 12 week scan is out the way. I'm also paranoid about twins!!!

3madboys · 02/07/2007 16:45

i feel totally paranoid!! esp having had three healthy pregnancies!!#

the only prob i have had is psd!! which is already starting to play up and i am only 5wks!! hopefully it wont get too bad, i had to be hospitalised with it with ds1

my boys are fab, but mad!!

oh and if one more person says to me, were you trying for a girl!! or do you want a girl etc etc, i will scream!! NO I JUST WANT A HEALTHY BABY THANKYOU VERY MUCH!!!!
