Due March 2008 - is it real?

Oh my. Have name changed as I feel like a wee bit of a muppet for coming here while a bit uncertain. Will change back when I know one way or t'other for sure.

Was lurking over a cafe buffet this morning with DS, utterly unable to decide what I wanted to have for lunch. Told myself I'd have the chips but that they would probably taste metallic. Remembered how last night all the food in the house was unappealing, except two corn on the cob (?!).

Penny then dropped, though our TTC last month consisted I thought of getting it on magnificently before and after fertile time. Whipped into Boots for a 1st response after figuring I am 3 days pre-AF. Just got a faint but-its-there positive. BBC website says due date is 1st March.

Anyone else yet? I will not tell dp until the line is brighter for point and show effect, so will probably re-test Friday am. I will be keeping my news, if this really is news, virtual apart from twlling him for as long as possible, as I'm older, my thyroid is knackered and my miscarriage and anomaly risks are high.

Other than that, I am having a little smile:

I want to change my name too as when I joined up I was running out of ideas and then I looked down and saw my tea towel which has herbs pictured on it. All the names I wanted had already been taken but I do fancy something more glamorous, lol.

3mb, we have our nuchal's booked the same day. but i swear mine is too late, am trying to ask them. otherwise dp insisting we go private a week earlier. too used to nhs stuff-ups, bless them. (and am ex-nhs myself, so know how easily things are lost)

07mumstheword · 07/07/2007 12:47

Hello merryberry, i've joined in on the messages but noticed I'm not in the Due March 2008 list, can i join? I think I'm due 13th March.

marjoram · 07/07/2007 12:57

Hello merryberry, would it be a pain to change my Ds to DD in birth list? Also, I'm 33 and live in London, ta very much

derah · 07/07/2007 13:29

Hello Ladies

Ugh, we're spending our day building Ikea wardrobes. Got started on the first one, but found that our measurements were out somewhere and it's too tall for our room! Ack!! So we'll have to hack a couple of cm off the tops of all 3 of them. DH is not impressed, even though it means he gets to use his lovely circular saw (what is it with men and power tools?!). Also means we have to lug everything back downstairs again! Sigh.... why aren't I rich enough to pay someone to build lovely wardrobes for me?

Doesn't help that we're all exhausted from DD keeping us up the past 2 nights. She's cutting her canines and it's not going well, poor thing!

Good luck with the party, 3MB

winemakesmummyclever · 07/07/2007 13:45

Hi folks - can you add me to the list too please? Not sure on exact DD yet, just know it's around the first week of March, so around 5-6 week pg.
Already have ds aged 15 mo, so am currently not allowed to be knackered until after 7pm, when he's tucked up in bed. Haven't told anyone apart from dh and best mate (oh, and you guys) - think I want to keep it quiet in RL for a bit longer as it still feels a bit unreal.
Fingers crossed for everyone .

07mumstheword · 07/07/2007 18:45

Can anyone help? I've had very small amounts of discharge with a brown tinge to it today, almost as if i'm at the very end of a period, is this normal? Sorry if a bit tmi!!

derah · 07/07/2007 19:46

Hi 07Mums

I think that discharge is quite normal. As I understand it, there's no need to worry unless you get fresh red blood (and even then you might still be fine). Maybe you could pop into your local hospital tomorrow to put your mind at rest, but I wouldn't panic. HTH!!

07mumstheword · 07/07/2007 20:00

Thank you derah, just needed someone elses opinion, i think it's fine too as not fresh blood. will keep an eye on it and see how it goes.

Lcy · 07/07/2007 20:12

Helloooo

I have been at a conference all week - just catching up and cant believe how many people have joined - hi to you all! Really sad to hear that Rainbow Days and Lissie miscarried - i hope you are both ok.

I dont feel sick - but i do feel really tired and hormonal. I am going to have to tell work next week (health and safety reasons) and they are not going to be happy - hope i dont cry!

Lcy x

Oh and thanks Merry Berry for adding me to the list.

derah · 07/07/2007 20:34

Hi Lcy, we missed you. I had to tell my boss too for H&S reasons, but luckily he's very nice, and is helping me keep it secret from everyone else until I'm ready to tell.

Glad I could help, 07Mum.

Right, now that dd is in bed, we're going to annoy our neighbours by attacking Ikea wardrobes with circular saw in the garden!! Wah hah!

sweetkitty · 07/07/2007 20:59

oh loads of messages since I last popped by

welcome and congratulations to LisaJH (think I might be due the 8th as well unless scan changes it) and winemakesmummyclever

3madboys - hope the party went well and you've got your feet up relaxing now, my birthday is 21st August (32 eek!)

derah - hope the wardrobes are all sorted now. We have just totally redecorated the lounge and dining room and DP says I am not allowed to mention DIY/buying anything for the house until March next year

07mum - I wouldn't worry too much about the brown discharge unless as derah says it gets worse or bright red, keep an eye on it though.

Not much else to report here today had nice relaxing day with the DDs, still feeling a bit queasy now and again but it's not that bad. Enjoy your Saturday nights

Lcy · 07/07/2007 21:43

Hi Derah. LOL at your husband and his power tools. My husband was given a wood axe recently and can spend hours outside chopping wood for our woodburner - it even has a special shelf in the shed! Why would that be interesting????

waiting4bambino · 07/07/2007 21:54

Hi all

Not feeling too good today, have had really bad pains like a water infection when i was on the loo earlier and now i'm just so paranoid that its an ectopic pregnancy or something. I really was doubled over. It's gone now, but all i have now is like a period style cramping, plus the fact that my nerves are making me have butterflies in my stomach... Is anyone else getting strange pains or is it just me?

MamaMaiasaura · 07/07/2007 21:55

Just popped over from Dec/Jan thread. Cant believe how much time has flown by and that there is now a March thread. JUst want to wish all you ladies a healthy happy pregnancies Morning sickness etc really doesnt normally last forever

xxxx

Lcy · 07/07/2007 22:19

Hi waiting4bambino - i have been getting alot of period type pains on and off as well. All my friends with kids say this is quite normal - it also says this is normal in my preg book. but like you i still worry. Is it possible you could havea UTI?

Waves to Awen

derah · 07/07/2007 22:41

W4B - with dd I had really really bad cramps one day, abour 3 days after my bfp (which was a week after af was due). I was convinced it was all over but the cramps went away and everything was fine. Get checked out tomorrow if you're worried.

Argh, off to carry on building wardrobes.... yawn!!!

derah · 07/07/2007 23:33

Ok, one wardrobe half built, so that's 2.5 still to go! Is there no end to the madness!! Off to bed now, very very tired. See you all tomorrow.

07mumstheword · 08/07/2007 09:45

Further to yesterdays spotting I've started to bleed quite heavily now but did another pregnancy test this morn and was still positive. anyone else ever had anything like this? waiting for local out of hours surgery to phone me back. please keep your fingers crossed for me.

marjoram · 08/07/2007 12:33

07, Big hugs to you, sending positive vibes your way.

waiting4bambino · 08/07/2007 13:50

07, hoping everything's okay with you, let us know...
I feel a bit better today! I think it may have been wind and the fact that i'd held my wee in for a while (being lazy)!
Although still worried, think i'll go through periods of worry up until i get the scan!

What is a nuchal scan? Is this the same as a dating scan?

derah · 08/07/2007 14:28

07, hope you're OK. We're all here thinking of you.
