Am I going to an early scan too early?!

Hi ladies.

I am on a lot of these threads so some of your ladies might have already read my concerns.
I will be 6 weeks and 2 days based on my LMP on Thursday which is when my early scan is. I miscarried in August which is why I'm having an early scan. Am I actually going to be a lot less than this as I have no idea when ovulation happened? Am I wasting my time this week?!

Hello, if I’m honest it’s difficult to say!
What are you hoping to find out?
I had one at 6+1 because of bleeding and pains. The scan showed that it wasn’t eptopic which was obviously most important. It showed a heartbeat but then it showed it was a bit smaller than they thought it should be which made me worry more.
They also had to go internal to see enough so I don’t know if that would bother you?
If you’re paying for it for reassurance I think I’d personally wait until about 8 weeks as they can see more then and a heartbeat at 8 weeks is a much more positive sign! Sorry I know that probably feels an eternity right now! Good luck Flowers

@Hopefulbride18 it's mainly to see somethings there not even for a heartbeat... just that reassurance if somethings actually there! Xx

I had one at 8+3 and you couldn’t see anything so had to have an internal scan. You’re unlikeky to see anything more than a dot unfortunately

It will be an internal scan and I found it reassuring. Its not too early. Good luck

@delilah7 yes it should hopefully show something! Even if you’re not as far along as as 6+2 Smile Good luck!

Thanks ladies. I hope so. Nice I can go back for free if it is too early! Internal scan doesn't bother me x

I'm going this Thurs at 8+2 as wanted as late as possible but before Christmas. Do they offer a rescan if they can't see anything?
