Staples do a variety of boxes for a couple of quid loopy. I'm sure you'll find a box of the right size from there.

Ah yes. Kick him up the jacksy, pronto!!

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 21:46

lol sounds like my DH, I have to go on and on before he does whats needed. This week he is actually sorting out the kids room, to give the baby Dd1's bedroom, with help from FIL, which is a in itself... lol. They have painted the girls room (currently DS) and will be putting up the bunkbeds up tomorrow, and then they are going to paint DD2's room for DS. DS is on a school trip for 3 days so we thought that it would be a good time to do it..

RGPargy · 04/07/2007 22:05

Blimey!! You're certainly cracking the whip there!!

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 22:10

I have to, or it won't get done. I have the job of taking the dog to dog training tomorrow because 'I will only be in the way, and can't lift anything'

RGPargy · 04/07/2007 22:14

So in reality you'll be off to the smoke-free pub for a nice medicinal Guinness & Black, yes?

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 22:17

no, dog training here I come!! As long as they put things where I want, I would rather not be here, its boring not helping, and just making tea...

RGPargy · 04/07/2007 22:28

Ugh, i've got all this to come on Monday when we move. I can lift light boxes I spose but i'm not going to overdo it or anything.

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 22:30

I was allowed to paint along the skirting board this morning, but that was it [sulk] I wanted to get my hands on the rollers but wasn't allowed... I ended up downstairs folding the washing... borrriiinggggg

RGPargy · 04/07/2007 22:51

Just make the most of it, Sparklygoat!

Once you have your baby things are likely to change and you'll no doubt be BEGGING for them to do something for you!!

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 22:55

lol that is true. FIL is a great help, even though he actually is DH's stepdad (from aged 15) and knows I can't do too much, but doesn't stop me wanting to do things..

RGPargy · 04/07/2007 23:04

You should just resign yourself to being able to do sweet F.A. for a while. woohoo!

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 23:06

do you know how hard that is for me..?? I am always on the go, from morning to night, even when I am watching telly I am folding clothes or tidying living room I get the feeling that the hospital will be admitting me for bedrest soon, they did with all the others..

easywriter · 04/07/2007 23:11

Maybe you could attack a pedicure or facial with the same sort of gusto SGK.

Or how about a massage?

I believe in such establishments copies of heat are available to keep your mind on the job (of loafing).

What d'ya reckon?

RGPargy · 04/07/2007 23:13

Oh dear Goat, didn't realise you are one of "those" people.

How about doing summat with your hands to try and keep busy, like, i dunno, some knitting or embroidery or summat like that?? Or is it that you feel the need to get up and about?

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 23:14

i just get restless, and have to be doing something. I do enjoy reading so I will have to get a pile of books together and just loof around reading.

easywriter · 04/07/2007 23:16

What sort of stuff do you like to read?

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 23:18

true life mainly. But I do have a few that I have brought and not read yet, so will start on those first. I might even try lovely bones again.

easywriter · 04/07/2007 23:19

On a different thread that's being proclaimed as a book that makes you cry. I assume it's pretty sad.

I'm avoiding sad for a few months.

sparklygothkat · 04/07/2007 23:21

I couldn;t get into it. I have a huge bookcase full of books lol

AnnainNZ · 05/07/2007 00:51

Lovely Bones is fab book, very sad but beautifully written. Is about the after effects on a family when their teenage daughter is abducted. Sounds depressing but so well written is actually quite uplifting in parts. Strongly recommend though the subject matter could make you cry if overwhelmed by pg hormones!

RGPargy · 05/07/2007 10:10

And i wouldn't recommend reading The Boy Called It or the follow up The Boy David (i think) either!! Very tear jerky stuff!
