Amazing @AGirlinLondon - congrats on 'the quickening' as I believe my Ovia app calls it!
I'm 16+1 today and all I feel is chubby 😁 my mom saw me yesterday and was coming over my growing bump 😊 can't wait to feel first kick! Seeing midwife tomorrow for 16 week appt, hoping they listen to the heart beat for a bit of reassurance for me.

Dogmom · 08/07/2018 11:47

My little 16 week bump. FTM over here!

Aww beautiful bump hunni 😍😍
Mines very much just cake today and pickled onion crisps 🙀

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 08/07/2018 14:40

Ooo I love the bumps!!! I just had to make a bowl of peas and gravy... 😼

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 08/07/2018 14:41

Meant to say, @December2018 love the DMs!
And @AGirlinLondon I am delighted for you both! Can't wait to be in the same boat 😍

RomPom · 08/07/2018 14:49

I'm sorry to dampen the mood, but I really need to get this out and I really need a handhold.

My mum is on her way to hospital with suspected renal failure. She also has a tumour in her bladder, that we will know more about on Tuesday. I literally cannot hold myself together. I live in the Isle of Man and I'm flying over to the UK tomorrow with my 19 month old to be with her. My stepdad has dementia so he has been taken into a care home temporarily. I need to sort out powers of attorney for both my mum and stepdad, I don't know how to do that. I can't face losing my mum, she's all I've got.

Cakelaur · 08/07/2018 14:57

@RomPom I litterally have no words. I can't imagine what you're going through. Can your OH help out with bub? Or is there a family friend you can your LO with? I'm not sure exactly how to go about it. I'd imagine you need to speak with their solicitor though. Sending massive hugs. What a stressful horrible time for you. Thinking of you. X

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 08/07/2018 15:07

Oh @RomPom that's awful I'm so sorry. Keep posting on here if it makes you feel better. Even small things to keep you going are important now.
Maybe not for today, but keep your eyes peeled for leaflets in the hospital about carers support. You will have access to some wonderful support if you need it. ❤️❤️❤️

RomPom · 08/07/2018 15:47

Thank you both. OH has to work so he can't come or look after DD and he is awful in this type of situation. He literally has zero empathy and can't even fake it. He has been very awkward today, but that's the way he is and I can't change it. We don't have any other help with DD, although one of my mum's friends has offered to help, so fingers crossed DD is ok with her and doesn't have a meltdown (unlikely!)

I just can't believe this is happening. I'm not close to any other family. She is literally all I have. She was so excited to be a grandma again.

balalalala · 08/07/2018 19:41

Oh gosh, poor you. How stressful! Keeping everything crossed for you and your mum.

Roomarmoset · 09/07/2018 08:13

Morning ladies
Can anyone help me with pram advice? I've just been emailed this:
www.emmasdiary.co.uk/sales/product/KinderKraft-Moov-Travel-System-Grey?utm_campaign=Prenatel%20Offers%20Products%20Email%20Prenatel%20%2006.07.18&utm_source=force24&utm_medium=email&utm_content=textlink&f24_pid=fd6a75e2-642d-4614-a2cf-400cd6b34fe8
from Emma's Diary with 60% off. Looks like an absolute bargain. I wanted to physically go and have a look at a travel system before I bought one but I don't know how long this offer will last. Just wondering if anyone had seen one or had any views on it?
Many thanks!

AGirlinLondon · 09/07/2018 08:32

Bloody hell has anyone else started getting horrendous nightmares?!! Every night for three nights now. I don’t even want to go to sleep anymore! Ugh!!

Gemsie1984 · 09/07/2018 09:00

Not nightmares no but very vivid dreams. Strange dreams too. Started a week or so ago! Hormones?

balalalala · 09/07/2018 09:05

@roomarmoset no personal experience of that one, but I definitely wouldn't buy without going and trying one first. They're all so different. I ended up going through 5 different ones with my dd for various reasons (broken/temporary/dd didn't like etc) and they were all so different. Consider size and weight for the buggy part regarding your car, then also what you need it for e.g walking the dog or getting on a bus. Car seat part, I'd do your research independently for this one and look into safety ratings. A website I've bought from that generally have great deals on is online4baby.

Roomarmoset · 09/07/2018 09:12

Thank you @balalala

JustVent · 09/07/2018 09:33

Gemsie, yes. I had one that was a letter from my childminder to tell me that my husband has committed polygamy. He married his ex 20 years ago when they were drunk and both of them forgot.

I also had a horrifying Xrated dream which I’d rather forget about Shock

Rompom we’re waiting to find out if my dads cancer has spread. It’s horrible when a parent is seriously ill. I’m sorry to hear about your news.

Bubba84 · 09/07/2018 09:51

Hi ladies 👋🏻

I'm wondering if I should join this thread rather than the January one... I'm due 3rd January but I think I'll likely have baby early as planned section for various reasons.

Most likely a Christmas baby eek! I'm currently 14+4 with my second baby and this one is a much awaited rainbow baby 🌈

Anyone else due round about the same time?

I have crazy dreams most nights, not nightmares but range anywhere from raunchy to bizarre! And very vivid!!

December2018 · 09/07/2018 10:59

I'm not having nightmares just really strange dreams that make no sense... my dream last night was about me finding hundreds of baby chameleons and keeping them all but they kept escaping.... soooo strange!!
It just didn't make any sense lol

And yeah I would deffo recommend "test driving" some prams instead of getting one online
My friend ordered hers online and when it came it was too wide to go thru her hallway... her hallway is super narrow tho and she really struggled sending it back

December2018 · 09/07/2018 10:59

JustVent · 09/07/2018 14:38
