@magicalcreatures that chart is interesting. Although the bit about not having morning sickness with boys can’t be right, my 2 boys have made me very sick! 😂

Izzyw1983 · 28/06/2018 21:52

Do u class morning sickness as being sick or does feeling sick all the time count too?

MagicalCreatures · 28/06/2018 22:07

@0lgaDaPolga 😂 that’s why they are just old wives tales. I don’t believe in them all either. My friend had 2 girls and 2 completely different pregnancies.

I can't believe how much this baby kicks already! Allllll the time! I hadn't even felt dd at this stage! Lovely to hear of lots of holidays planned. We're off to Italy in 9 weeks for just two nights.

lrwe · 29/06/2018 01:37

@Nilam87 I'll be flying to and from Qatar with my kids at 14.5 weeks and around 22 weeks. Just drink extra water, try stretch and walk!

We're also driving to france once we get back to the UK so excited!!

December2018 · 29/06/2018 04:21

Sorry if tmi!
I've been up most of the night with the most horrendous painful trapped wind!
How do I make it stop lol I'm in work at 6 too 😖

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 29/06/2018 06:57

Hi @December2018 hope it abated before you got to work. My trick is to get down on the floor on my front and stick my bum in the air 😂😂😂 basically hands and knees and then lower yourself down so you're still on your knees but your top half is flat on the floor. I say flat... not with these jugs 😆😆
Works every time.

emwithme · 29/06/2018 06:58

@December2018 peppermint tea always makes me windy if you have some around.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 29/06/2018 07:19

Omg I've just remembered - child pose! Much easier to google that than try out my bizarre instructions 🤣

Izzyw1983 · 29/06/2018 08:51

Bisodol works wonders on heartburn...trapped wind

Happy32 · 29/06/2018 11:18

Hiya lovely ladies! Sorry I haven't been on recently. Working loads and just getting on with things in this horrible heatwave. Just been reading through all comments and makes me super happy to see everything is going so well for people and with their beautiful scans/ purchases for baby!!! I heard heartbeat this week for the first time and it sounded like a little train! To those that are looking at midwives tales an theories, i'd love to hear some of them! And if any have been right! The only one we tried was the ring. When I done it, it was straight up and down but when oh done it, it went in circles. Baby doesn t want us to know for now 🤣 I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your bubbas. Can't wait for some movement aswell!!

Dogmom · 29/06/2018 11:37

Hi ladies!
Sorry I'm so late to join this bus. I'm 15 weeks pregnant today. Due 21/12/2018.
This is my first baby! I live in Midlands.
I'll be looking back through this post and finding my due date twin.
So excited.
Hello all ladies and hope your pregnancy is going well Smile

Thank you...ive seen it now x....whats team yellow mean?

0lgaDaPolga · 29/06/2018 17:12

I’ve just looked at the spreadsheet and there are 3 of us having boys so far! It will be interesting to see how many girls and boys we get in the end. My May ‘17 group is freakishly evenly split, as was my nct group. I suppose if it’s statistically 50/50 that’s what you’d expect!

Gemsie1984 · 29/06/2018 17:21

Hello and welcome :) team yellow means you don't know what sex the baby is yet.. whether you're deciding to find out or not. I'm team blue 💙

So I've been having pains in my hips and my pubic bone when walking. Moderate pain and it will ache for the rest of the night and be irritated. Went to the GP about it and he thinks it's the start of SPD. He said it will only get worse! I've been referred for urgent physio but I'm now worried as the baby gets bigger I'll be in more and more pain. Have any of you ladies had it? Can you give me some tips to help ease it please x

December2018 · 29/06/2018 18:15

Haha Goldilocks I did the bum in the air thing in the end... I was pacing the living room and thought sod it lol so funny tho when my OH came down and seen me in a heap with my bum in the air 😂😂
He was like what are you doing yoga for at 5 in the morning 😂.... if only he knew what I was doing (trying to push a fart out) haha!

We find out what team where on tomorrow ladies!
I'm so exited!

December2018 · 29/06/2018 18:16

Hi and welcome ladies 😘😘😘

AGirlinLondon · 29/06/2018 19:01

Two yoga poses for trapped wind - child pose as mentioned but also apanasana (wind relieving pose!)

Wind relieving pose = lie on your back and hug your knees to your chest (remember not to spend too long on your back now, and take your knees out wide, going around your bump rather than squishing it). The pressure of your thighs on the sides of your belly will push the gas out. You can also do it one leg at a time with the other knee bent and foot on the floor. Less stress on bump that way.

GoldilocksTheGraceless · 29/06/2018 19:53

Hilarious I'm loving this chat today 😂😂

Exciting day tomorrow for you finding out the sex!

Re babymoon we're planning a few nights in a spa hotel in Spain in September. I'll need to be careful about which spa bits to use but hopefully I'll get some joy!

I had a random day of sickness today which is so disappointing I thought I was out of the woods! (15+3). Anyone else have surprise sickness?

balalalala · 29/06/2018 20:14

Not sickness, but I keep getting the runs! Blush

December2018 · 29/06/2018 20:16

This heat isn't helping our bums or tums at all 😖
