Miserable

Last night started to feel a bit rough, go to doctors this morning needing antibiotics for tonsilitis and a steriod cream to get rid of the freaky itchy rash on my belly.

Feel like shite.

Down in the dumps, I was bored to begin with but now I feel too ill as well as too cumbersome to do anything and I can't stand Jeremy Kyle any more.

Pppffffhhhh

foxybrown · 23/05/2007 10:02

Aw TA, that's shite.

Holly's just had tonsillitus, so you can get lots of sympathy! Did they say what the rash was?

trendaverter · 23/05/2007 10:07

Well the stretch marks (lucky me, I look like a purple zebra) are causing some of the itching, the rest is heat rash.

Getting tired of it all. Want to hurry up and give birth!

foxybrown · 23/05/2007 10:10

Have you tried Bio-oil for the stretchmarks? Don't know about the heatrash, but its horrible.

Personally I'm dreading the inner-thigh chafing I'm expecting later today. Better get the germolene ready.

Where are you?

trendaverter · 23/05/2007 10:17

I have been using Palmers for the marks, not sure if it does anything though. I was using some Clarins oil jobby that someone bought me but that clearly did bugger all.

I didn't have any and then 33 weeks, bam! I was covered and they show no signs of easing. Now at 38 weeks, had the GP checkup today who said all is going well, baby fully engaged etc but I just want it OUT, I have had enough.

I'm in Reading, you?

DaisysGotABigBump · 23/05/2007 10:17

Good Morning...or is it? been up since 3:30 ish so feeling on top form now after soing a supermarket shop.....but the lovely shelf stacker in Sainsbury's was fetching things for me and bringing them to me...the man deserves a medal . Either that or he was worried I was gonna pop any minute!

Having always been a little bit chunky of thigh, chafing is getting really annoying. Why do your thighs get bigger in pregnancy FFS? My knees have gone chubby as well, but thankfully I seem to have lost weight from my upper arms....at least thighs can be hidden....and I've been getting heat rash under my boobs. This PG state is farking miserable. Why oh why do we do it to ourselves?

C'mon BadZ....tell us....you can't just leave us hanging like that

Oh, I got lots of stretchmarks with DS...and like you TA only from around 34 weeks.....with the most damage being done when I went post dates and I only used a regular moisturiser.

This time I've been using bio-oil religiously since about 20 weeks and so far, haven't had any more really....maybe one or two tiny wee ones. Mind you, I don't think my bump is as big as it was with DS, so it hasn't stretched beyond what it was last time...yet!

Ouch about the tonsilitis TA....and the itching....

Hello Daisy

Yes even at my slimmest I had plenty of thigh rub, chafing actually has left me red raw in the past where I got to the point where I just either wear tights or trousers because it was the only thing I was comfy in

ATM however my thighs rub together so much that when I walk my legs fight each other for space. I look vile. Have been surfing yesterday looking for the local gym so when I get this thing out of me I can work on my bod!

I am so not a yummy mummy lol

foxybrown · 23/05/2007 10:28

I'm in SW London, so not a million miles away. Lovely day in this neck of the woods though.

Morning Daisy! Is the sun shining where you are?

Right I'm off to Playgroup, then the lunchtime pick up and taking loads of kids to soft play, before afternoon pick up and 1 O'clock club.

Would have got that leopard print number DKMA showed us, but its way too long for me!

See you this evening, after I get my medal for doing some proper parenting (for a change!) xx

RedFraggle · 23/05/2007 10:38

Morning all!

Daisy the shelf stacker probably thought you were about to pop. Everyone in shops is extra helpful to me at the moment - but they do look at me as though I am an unexploded bomb! DH thinks I should run in and ask for some hot water and towels just for a laugh...

Got my baby date yesterday - 05/06/07 - great birthdate eh?!
The registrar I saw was lovely, I did however randomly burst into tears discussing my little "requests" for making the section mine. Which was a little embarrasing, I was so glad DH was there with me! It is just making everything come flooding back and I guess the hormones aren't helping!!
Hope everyone is having a good day today so far. I'm about to go and try to do some packing house move stuff is trotting along nicely so it would be nice to feel vaguely organised!!

daisybump · 23/05/2007 10:40

no th sun is not bloody well shining today...they said it would be with 70 degree temperatures...bah bloody humbug!!

RedFraggle...that's my c-section date too

I'm back bein judt plain old daisybump at the mo....talking on another thread and didn't want to confuse people!!

derlor · 23/05/2007 10:40

hi chicks, i'm just back from AN appt which when i hobled into on my crutches the lovely MW said i should just have called her and she would come to the house to see me i've to get a home visit next week. How nice is that??
nightmare re your itching, tonsilitis and thigh chaffing TA - not much fun huh
Daisy - maybe the sainsbury's man is just really into pg women - you are currently some mens ultimate fantasy at the mo!!!!

derlor · 23/05/2007 10:42

Daisy, it's raining here and cold typical scottish weather.

daisybump · 23/05/2007 10:43

eeeewwwwww I feel sick!

derlor · 23/05/2007 10:46

was it the weather or the male fantasy that did it?????

daisybump · 23/05/2007 10:50

the male fantasy....I just wish my DH was one of those men....he's gone right off the idea in general...well except for the oral prostaglandins, of course

How's DS today?

Mine is off back to school thank heavens....now I can go back to bed!

daisybump · 23/05/2007 10:51

Oh, and how often are you seeing your MW now? I thought they did every week from about 37 weeks but I'm not seeing mine again till th end of next week. My BP has been elevated, so thought they would've wanted me back sooner

derlor · 23/05/2007 10:58

i'm 38+2 last saw her at 36 weeks but will now see her weekly till i pop.
DS is a little better managing to open his eyes for about 5 seconds at a time but getting lots of headaches unfortunately - dosed up on calpol.
I had the most EXCRUTIATING pain right up my fan this morning that actually made me stop breathing for a couple of seconds - totally pissed off with this pg malarky now have sent DH out for fresh pineapple and mango juice - I'VE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!

derlor · 23/05/2007 11:01

of you're worried about your BP why don't you get it checked at your local pharmacy - most of them do that theese days - have you been having any symptoms like swelling hands/feet, dizziness or little black or silver floaters in front of our eyes?

daisybump · 23/05/2007 11:02

It's probably weekly from next week then, but as I'll be having the bub five days after my next appointment......yikes, 13 days and counting!!

daisybump · 23/05/2007 11:03

I've had floaty bits in front of my eyes, but thought that was just down to tiredness?

derlor · 23/05/2007 11:05

i know, it's all getting close now huh! do you feel ready?
Even though i'm desparate to get this LO out i think i might actualy go into shock when it DOES happen kind of hobbling along in a parallel universe just now watching this happening to my other self!!!!!

daisybump · 23/05/2007 11:06

hands and feet a bit puffy, but nothing out of the ordinary I'd say.....bit headachey, not enough to take anything for it, but again thought tiredness and stuffy nose were the culprits there. Eyesight a bit blkurry as well...but again, tiredness?...I have been up since 3:30 am!

The Derlor morning surgery is obviously open for business

derlor · 23/05/2007 11:08

oh no floaters are a sign of high BP, not tiredness - phone the MW and tell her you've been seeing floaters - she should see you quickly for that. If not, get an appt with your GP just to be safe.

derlor · 23/05/2007 11:09

in fact tell her ALL your symptoms cause the all = high BP - my bill is in the post!!!
