Have been up since 5.15, but thought would leave it till 8 when there would surely be news..(also DH accused me of being obsessed with Mumsnet last night so I didnt want to get up at 5 and log straight on as that would prove his, quite correct TBH, point)

Am comforting self with the fact that my labour withg DD took from Christmas Eve to Boxing Day evening..and whilst I wouldnt want that for anyone else, I hope that SOH is having a similarly long one, (in the nicest possible way)or that Mathilda is here and they are all snuggled up together..

Lets hope for some news soon...

Its LilKels number I have..does anyone have Cams?Or Creena or Anemnes?This is something we shoud've thought of prior..because now im beginning to fret somewhat about the lot of them..

They did have quite a bit of the creme egg flurry mix left..also alot of creme eggs in DH's office..

I have suggested they do an Eton Mess Mcflurry to celebrate Wimbledon and all things British..not that im particularlyt bothered about either, I just like Eton Mess and think a bit of Meringue and Strawberry Juice would be the bomb in a Flurry!
Also have suggested they do a sort of weightwathchers endorsed burger for all the Mums on diets who take their kids in..(Weightwathchers always say that you can eat anything on their plan and even have the points for fast food in their guide, so I thought they might go for it)I thought it was a rather good idea..(can you tell im angling for a job in Macs product development department..think of all the free creme eggs et al!)

I was thinking of SOH at 4am this morning. Thought for sure that we would have news by now

Very sleepy this morning due to Ella being wide awake for a part of the night and also down to the CAT! Somehow she managed to open our bedroom door and let herself in our room. How i dont know.. My concern is that she could have climbed in the moses basket with Ella! Luckily she didnt but we are going to have to think of a way of keeping her downstairs.

I sleep well and have conveniently decided that that is one of the advantages to her being breech.

Last day at work today!!! Hoorah!!! Off to do a handover with my colleague who is covering for me and to eat twice my body weight in Toby Carvery for lunch.

My goodness i disappear for 2 days and miss all the excitement.

Anyone heard from SOH, seems a long time for a home birth, hope all is well over there. Seems irrelevant now but green baby nipple balm is good for nipples and lanolin free if anyone is allergic.

Talk of weddings and weight, i had a surprise invite to an arranged marriage of my friend from uni the other day, he was my lab buddy, clincal partner so we are very close. wedding down in london on 10th june, it's a sunday and a hindu wedding, what do you wear let alone 6 weeks after delivery. I have managed to lose 1 1/2 stone in 12 days due to my amazing guzzle guts of a baby but still another stone til pre pregnancy weight.

We have registered Joshua's birth, I took myself out on my own with him to mothercare and sainsbury's while dh played cricket, today i'm off to do bank accounts and doctors. dh back to work tuesday, don;'t know where the time has gone. have also just ordered my trial of real nappies, going to try wonderoo and bambeasy, they are birth to potty get good reviews and apparently dry on line/airer so we'll wait and see.

Doing the mile for maude walk tomorrow at yorkshire sculpture park, may take us a while if he needs a feed during it as each one lasts 1 hour plus but thankfully there's only 3-5 a day still.

must dash if i'm to be showered etc before bank, positive vibes to all those ladies in labour, hope all goes well for a happy, painless labour for you, your partners and your bumps. xxx

Pink dont worry about your cs, elective ones are great, recovery is fine, i was worried about the spinal but it was nothing hardly felt it, you will be fine hun - ask away if you have any questions

AM I was up at that time as well, well from 2-4 actually, popped in to see if there was any news, did you know you can get a cat net for moses baskets

I was thinking of creena as well, hope shes ok

Thanks Lupins - that's so good to hear. I do have one question... (you'll be sorry you said I could ask you now!)

I am due to have her at either 9.30am or 11.30am, apparently no one else is booked in on Thursday but the anaesthetist decides who goes first etc. Visiting is then 2-4 and 6-8. Everyone is already asking me when they can come in. Is it best to leave it just as my mum and dad (obviously dh will still be there) for the Thursday and ask dh's parents to come on Friday? Will I be like a temporarily paralysed zombie on Thursday?

Lupins, do you know where i can get a cat net from for a moses basket? We have a cat that is about 10 months old and he likes to bite fingers and toes besides the general sleeping on warm things problem.

Have been trying to get my very sleepy DD down for her nap for the last hour..she has screamed so much she has been sick..am giving up on it now as she is now not only sleepy but also very cross..looks like im in for another fun afternoon..we are contenting ourselves now with a quick lie down and a watch of Mae making my belly go a funny shape..

Tell as many people as possible to stay away on Thursday remember you will be recovering from surgery, and will be tired and possibly on a lot of pain meds. My sil was visited by friends, and has no memory of anyone that came to see her. Tell as many people (unless they are there to help you) to stay away until Friday or Saturday.

OK it's not even 6am here, but it's too hot and humid to sleep (at least I think so) Dh says it's nice and cool, but I am sweating up a storm.

Have my appointment and ultrasound appointment today, and am wondering if they will send me in tonight or if everything will be business as usual. I like the doctor I'm seeing today so hopefully she and I will see eye to eye.

Are you excited or cacking your pants MKG? Are yo going for the induction then? Will DH stay with you, who has Matteo? I worry more about the chuldren i have to leave than what is happening to me when it all kicks off.

Have just had to go up to the school, i packed their lunchboxes but forgot to put there sandwiches in this morning. They were all neatly lined up in the fridge Poor children, im a basket case.

Well my mom is going to watch Mateo for me, she already has his emergency bag at her house and has always had a carseat for the grandkids in her car so she's the obvious choice (she has the dog too).

I'm going to take Mateo with me to the appointment so if they want an induction I can put it off until I can get him situated. I am so tempted to give in and say ok, but I think that's just the uncomfortable part of me talking. The tougher part of me says, "Your not even 38 weeks yet, suck it up"

DH never goes to the doctor with me, but if it was an emergency he would leave work and be with me for the birth.

I'm worried because I have an ultrasound before my appointment. I think they will recommend induction, and I'm just not sure. I've been saying for weeks that as long as baby and I are ok there is no reason to induce, but if we aren't then I would trust my doctors to know what to do.

I'm nervous, excited, ready, but I just don't know what the future holds for me today.
It's at 1:45 my time so basically if no one hears from my be 11pm your time you will all know what I'm doing.

Pink - You wont be able to move around and you may feel a bit queasy, I was sick but only twice when they 1st sat me up - something to do with blood pressure apparently, I would say space out your visitors just to be on the safe side, I had 3 lots of visitors turn uo unexpectidly at the same time and it was overwhelming - I felt too tired to talk to everyone, but by the 3rd day i was fine and dying to see people - hope thats answered your question, by 3rd day I was also walking up to baby ward, took me flippin ages to walk the corridor mind u but the quicker you get up and about the better

Dizzy - of hand no im not sure just remember seeing them whilst i have been browsing online shops, I will take a look round for you
