Cheers badger, will spend my coffee money (since it is now unpalatable) in boots! I think (hope?) the knicker checking and constant worry comes as standard at this point, especially with previous losses. Try to relax and chant with me, today we are pregnant x

SleepyBadger · 30/01/2018 11:35

@monkerina chanting away as we speak! Haha!

I luckily haven't gone off tea or coffee yet but had an awful aversion to even the smell of coffee with my last pregnancy 🤢

monkerina · 30/01/2018 12:34

dwangela I've caved and sent you a friend request too, initials SK. Love your profile banner pic thing, you look so happy!

Hope the coffee aversion doesn't come back badger the strong sense of smell thing is funny- first hint I had something was up was when I was making spag bol last Thursday and the meat smelled really bloody Envy (not envy) and now porridge smells like sick 😷

bearhuggy · 30/01/2018 12:53

Hi Ladies!
Please can I join?
I got a positive test yesterday which was a bit of a shock as its our first cycle 'trying' for baby number 2... so looks like I am 4 weeks + 1 with my second little babe! I have an 18 month old son and was part of the mumsnet group when I had him and found it so brilliant to have other mums to be to chat to who are in the same boat.

How's everyone feeling?!
Sending lots of happy vibes and here's to the next 8 months of fun and games x

usernameunavailable · 30/01/2018 12:56

Honey my due date was 04/10/2017 lol she was 11 days laughter though Smile

CRZ1988 · 30/01/2018 13:57

@bearhuggy, welcome!

@monkerina I've not really had any aversions so far, apart from baked beans. Unless its baked beans on toast then its fine. Really odd......

twobambinos · 30/01/2018 14:15

I'm a checker too. Every wipe. Get a grip Two. Welcome bearhuggy.
Oh god my last two pregnancies as soon as the morning sickness kicked in tea would make me projectile vomit. It was awful so I just avoided it. I also could stomach looking at raw chicken.Hmm
Nothing so far now

CRZ1988 · 30/01/2018 14:18

Anyone else bloated af? Its ridiculous. I wear skirts to wokr and they were already a little tight (And I already needed to lose a bit of weight) and the extra bloating is making them SO uncomfortable.

bearhuggy · 30/01/2018 15:21

Thank you for your welcomes girls !

Yes @CRZ1988, mega bloated and gassy...keep having to undo my high waisted jeans which is not a great look ! This was actually one of my first symptoms as had the exact same gurgling strange tummy with my son.

No weird cravings...yet!

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 30/01/2018 15:34

Welcome @bearhuggy. My DD is 18 months as well so we'll have the same age gap!

bearhuggy · 30/01/2018 15:45

Ah thats lovely @SomebodysNotInBedYet ! How are you feeling about the new addition?...i'm already worrying about how my son will feel about having to share mummy and daddy, glad we've got 8 months to try and get him / us ready!!

Jenijena · 30/01/2018 16:24

//creeps around the corner...

Well it turns out that even if you have spent theee years of your life trying to get pregnant, a once-in-a-blue-moon shag with a ‘oh it’ll be fine without a condom, what are the chances’ can lead to a pregnancy.

We hadn’t ruled out number 3, but certainly didn’t that it would be that..er...easy.

EDD 3 October. Very up for joining a fb group as I have with DS2.

DH going for thesnip for Christmas...

SomebodysNotInBedYet · 30/01/2018 16:40

@bearhuggy I immediately felt like I'd betrayed her! But I can imagine her playing with a little brother or sister and it sets my heart a flutter! I'm more worried about the practicalities eg potty training a toddler with a little baby on my hip, how we're going to fit 2 cots in the second bedroom etc!

DwangelaForever · 30/01/2018 16:48

@monkerina thank you 😊 can't believe that was nearly 4 years ago 🙈.

Still can't believe I'm preggers again! It's so annoying though cause I'm moving house next week and can't contact the dr/midwife to arrange my first appointment until then!

DwangelaForever · 30/01/2018 17:09

Symptoms - running for a poo more than normal 😂 (soz Grin)

I'm already starting to get ligament pains when I roll over in bed! Does this happen earlier when you've been pregnant before?

Katjolo · 30/01/2018 18:41

Hi all. I'm joining this thread too. Just got a bfp, indicating 2-3 weeks. Very exciting.

JLamb89 · 30/01/2018 20:28

@sleepybadger that sounds cool about it stealing the control line ! I am still a serial checker ! I think today is the only day I’ve not tested - because I have only IC left and they don’t bring me as much joy haha ! Did a clear blue digital at 15dpo and it had moved to 2-3weeks so I was made up haha ! I’m just going to hold my hands up and say I’m doing a digital next week also just to make sure it’s gone to 3weeks and then I’ll maybe...maybe settle a little... maybe.

JLamb89 · 30/01/2018 20:32

@dwangelaforever I too have to poo more often haha 😂!

Also I think on your second your body kinda has a better idea of what’s going on so gets things started quicker. Saying that everyone is different ... it’s my first and my ligament pain is already super annoying ! My back is clicking and aching, my hips hurt when I’m walking, I feel like I can literally feel my uterus beginning to stretch !

Filzma · 30/01/2018 20:38

@DwangelaForever is that what it is then?? Omg I've been having jabbing pains on my left side for the past 3 days. Thought it was an impending MC.
Due date 02/10 God willing!! Eek it feels so surreal.
Symptoms so far... bloated, back ache, exhausted (not very but had 2 naps yesterday and today), dry lips.
Looking forward to sharing this journey with you ladies Thanks

ladydolly · 30/01/2018 21:26

Welcome newbies!

I can't believe how well I feel, with both DD and my failed preg last year I was feeling so rough by now. I'm trying not to read too much into it, I mean I felt awful last time even when I knew it was all over so doesn't mean anything, My friend has suggested it's a boy this time and that's why I feel ok. I really hope that's what it is!

I'm trying to get ahead on work so I can take it easier in a few weeks if I do get morning sickness later.

surreygirl1987 · 30/01/2018 21:36

@lacydolly I'm feeling really well too! A bit in the tired side and cramps ehich come and go but fine otherwise! I was feeming nauseous last week though and now I'm not so I hope that's not a bad sign... this is so so stressful! Is time going I credibly slowly for everyone else!?? How are we supposed to make it to the end of the first trimester?

DwangelaForever · 30/01/2018 21:54

@Filzma yes that's what it is! It's quite literally a pain 😂. It does ease off though!

DwangelaForever · 30/01/2018 21:54

@ladydolly aww don't read into it too much! Just remember every pregnancy is different 💖

DwangelaForever · 30/01/2018 21:57

@JLamb89 @SleepyBadger isn't it cool about control line! That's how I know a pos is def a pos cause with a straight up neg the control line pops up straight away but with any pos I've done it's feinter to begin with!

Jenijena · 30/01/2018 21:57

My first pregnancy wasn’t great: spd, evening sickness for the entire second semester (I know), tricky labour. Second pregnancy I was 39+6 before I really started feeling uncomfortable.

Admittedly I only found out yesterday but the stiffness and nausea feels more like number 1 (both boys)
