One born every minute

Never seen this before and avoided during pregnancy on basis that it would freak me out. Now binge watching as I'm sick and can't do anything but lie on sofa. It's actually quite sweet and nicely put together.

Any thoughts on how representative the stories are of births? I assume they pick the most interesting stories...

Not representative at all. Mostly people that agree to be filmed so self selecting. However, I love it too and cry almost every episode

Good point re self selection. Does that mean there is a swathe of calm quiet births...she says hopefully.

I've been surprised by how much my DH seems to get emotional about it! He's not at all the emotional type but I think it's making him worry about problems with our birth to come. I don't want to freak him out equally I want him to have some sense of what could happen...

They are pretty much all induced labours and they never say who's had an epidural so it's not very representative but still informative and lovely sometimes :)
