I thought I’d start this thread now as I can’t see one yet! I got my bfp this weekend on a digital and estimate my due date to be 1st of July, but I have long cycles so I’m anticipating it changing at a dating scan. Anyone else with me for end of June or beginning of July 2018?

Hi all hope you can help I’m talking pregnacare before conception it’s got folic acid and vitamins do you think I should go out and just folic acid tablets? Also I would like to join on the fb page

Hi @Whatsgoingon4 you need more nutrients now you're pregnant so I recommend a pregnancy multivitamin rather than a conception one. You could just have folic acid and vit D but I'm a bit of a worry wart and got a multivitamin... @lgh05 more folic acid is only recommended if your bmi is higher than 30 otherwise pregnacare is fine. ... Boob ache back tonight with a vengeance yay 😁felt quite nauseous tonight too... Appetite gone, yet feeling full and thirsty. Have a horrible cold starting too booo 😕

Pregnacare conception is fine, it contains what you need and enough folic acid unless you need the higher dose. I can't stomach pregnacare after puking it up so many times with DC1

Argh have woken up with a stinking cold, sore throat, sinuses blocked and really queasy. Children at school are full of cold... Any tips for fighting this off quickly? Hoping not affecting baby?

I'm 42, have a 2 y/o and teen boys 15 and 16 so this is a huge shock!!

Hullabaloo I have a cold too. Rest up and plevtyy of fluids.
Pregnacare I'm told is a rip off- cheapy folic acid and vit D my doc said.

I’m only taking folic acid and vitamin D. I was conceived ttc would take me a long time so I bought a big bottle of them! Now can’t justify going out and spending again so just topped up with vit D.

I’ve just got over my cold, had it for 2 weeks and swear must have hung around longer than usual. Clearly my immune system is affected already. When are people planning on getting flu jabs?

Morning ladies.

I had my scan this morning. She could see a gestational sac and a yolk sac and what she thought was the beginning of a foetal pole (a "thickening"). She said based on that she'd put me at just over 5 weeks, which based on my cycle is totally possible. She said she doesn't think there's any cause for concern at this stage and suggested I come back in a week to rescan.

Feeling OK about it - I wasn't expecting to see a heartbeat or anything (although that would have been lovely). I need to book another scan - DH working next weekend so will have to find somewhere who can do evenings I suppose. Going to be another long anxious week

I’ve got my first appointment with gp next week going to ask for a scan following week where I’d be 7 weeks. What would you expect to see at 7 weeks? I had a mmc last time so don’t kno what to expect, feeling anxious also!

@Lilychouchou I didn't realise you were going for a scan? Is everything ok? At 5 weeks little one is just a sac and possibly fetal pole. Heartbeat normally shows at 6/7 weeks so a little early still. Have you had any bleeding? I hope your week goes quickly and maybe they could do an evening appt or could dh say he's got a medical appointment?

Hula yep everything is fine - we booked in the scan on impulse really because we are supposed to be going on safari in a malaria area the first two weeks of December and when I realised I was pregnant we realised we'd have to cancel it. The earlier we cancel the better, so thought we'd book in a scan just to get some sort of confirmation that there is something in there before cancelling and losing lots of £££!

I wasn't sure whether I was 6 and a bit weeks or earlier as my cycles are irregular so wasn't expecting to see much today. Have booked another scan for 14 Nov so just have to try to be patient and hope everything goes okay.

Hi all, please can I join? I got a BFP on the 2nd so due date is hopefully 9th July. This is number 2, currently sat on the sofa next to 20-month-old number 1 who is having a snooze. I don't think it's really sunk in yet, it's not feeling very real! I'll book a scan for 8 weeks as long as everything is ok up until then, feeling quite nervous at the minute as I have no symptoms but don't think I had any at this point last time either. I had pretty bad sickness but didn't start until about 5 1/2 weeks from what I can remember. I'm not sure if my boobs are a little sore, but I'm still breastfeeding number 1 so they can be a bit variable anyway... Congratulations to everyone so far on your BFPs and good luck to all of us!

@Lilychouchou I had a scan yesterday too because they were worried about ectopic and I'm 5 weeks and 4 days and that's all they saw on me too, gestational and yolk sac, they were really pleased with it but couldn't see my right ovary (probably because of bowel gas they said!) so gave booked me another scan on 15th November to see how everything is progressing. I'll be 7 weeks and 2 days by then so hoping to see a heart beat!

@18months I had a mmc with my first pregnancy too, scan was at 11.5 weeks and baby showed 7 weeks 3 days so even after my scan on 15th I'll still not relax! Roll on the new year for us all :) x

Evening all, is it ok to join? I’m about 5 and a bit weeks with 2nd pregnancy, Dd is 4.
Got a rotten headache today and a bad cough/cold so feeling sorry for myself and too scared to take any paracetamol, I’ve read now that it’s ok although no one can ever be sure of that so take low dose as poss but of course I’m so OTT that I’ll avoid and suffer the pain.
Congrats to everyone, I’m due on July 6 according to online calculations. Felt very scared at first even though was trying and now I’ve got my head around it, I think I’m gonna be ok!

Awww yay @QueenCharming congratulations! My EDD is also the 6th and have a DD who’s 4. We have a secret Facebook group going to if you haven’t already joined!
