Hi emmumummy hon!

WCL - Fab stuff about Leo;s weight gain! Oh, and yes - your DS' teacher is a bitch!!!

Pinions · 04/04/2007 20:27

Hi WCL. Nearly cried when i read about the school bag thing, that would really upset me too, definitely. I get really upset when anything like that happens with DS.

How are you feeling. I am really at you having baby already, I think a lot of us are getting really impatient at the mo and wanting everything to hurry up now!

ellieandhattieandchocolate · 04/04/2007 20:28

Hi sorry to hijack saw someone asking about coping with older dc when baby arrives I am the one Eddas was talking about as DD1 was a nightmare when dd2 came home (tipped the moss basket over when she was 3 weeks old and found Hattie laying face down on the laminate flooring ) HV gave me that info Eddas said and also recommended a book called 'toddler taming' by christopher green (he also does a baby version that I had when dd1 was little) and both books are great. The only thing he advises that HV dont agree with is smacking but thats each persons own individual decision. HTH some of you and I am back off to my postnatel thread x

Katy44 · 04/04/2007 20:29

Ellie, sorry you're having to go back in, glad you got the morning appointment.
Got you a little pressie
WCL - glad everything is going well with you and Leo, and it sounds like your DS is better off out of that school!
Dippy - I still haven't packed my bag yet, DH is getting very worried. I have got it out of the wardrobe though. Planning to do it tomorrow, does that put any helpful pressure on you?

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 20:35

WCL - that's an impressive weight gain! Leo's gonna be huge by the time mine arrives. Agree DS's teacher is a bitch, I mean how hard could it be to be civil? Good job he's moving schools by the sound of it.

Ellie&Hattie - have heard of that book. I will deffo remember that one if Em shows any huge behaviour changes once the baby is born.

CD - have also hit the 37 week point now (hurrah!). Apparently the baby is a tiddler (Em was only 6lb 10oz), so seem to grow a big bump, but little babies. Not that I'm complaining!

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 20:35

Planning on doing mine tomorrow too Katy - Race ya'!!

Awwwww, just popped in to check on the DD's. DD2 has clearly done a poo in her nappy (can smell it!!), so DD1 has obviously got into her cot with her to "sort it out" and they have fallen asleep in each other's arms!! > DD2's cute little bottom is all exposed - Bless. I haven't the heart to wake them and sort it out....

Will wait til DH gets home (after all, if she hasn't got her nappy on .......

where's the poo!!?)

Must go and take photo ......

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 20:36

Katy & CD - stop putting off the bag packing you two. JFDI as they say!

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 20:40

LOL CD. Maybe they've EATEN IT!

Birdiebump · 04/04/2007 20:41

Ellie - thinking of you and glad you have a morning appt. My LO is very up-and-down with movements and is very quiet at the moment as well (I'm due 3 days after you) so hopefully there is nothing in it IYSWIM.

I'm seeing my mw tomorrow and am going to see if I can pop into the MW unit for a first sweep on Saturday.

SOSPL, MIAMT, Emmymummy and Pinionsrus what a nightmare you are having with DC's. I had an awful moment with DS2 the other day when he broke my lip-balm (of all things!) and I stormed upstairs with him cos he wouldn't sit in the naughty chair and nearly did myself an injury... On the whole I think it is definitely me rather than him IYSWIM. He is being lovely, and oddly, much prefers mummy to daddy atm - wanting me to do everything with him. Which in a way is more worrying because what do we do when mummy is stuck bf-ing LO all the time??? I guess we all need to hang in there - I think these little toddlers and pre-schoolers are so sensitive they really pick up on our every emotion and reflect them back to us - generally the more chilled out I am the happier DS2 seems to be.....

CD - are you going to be next???

Although as MMK is tomorrow you will have to hurry! Good luck, mmk!

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 20:42

JFDI??

Birdiebump · 04/04/2007 20:43

Emmymummy - I want a tiddler! Each appt I have they tell me the baby is getting bigger... That's why I'm trying to get her out a little early - I don't want an 11 pounder!!

Birdiebump · 04/04/2007 20:43

I think I know what JFDI means CD...

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 20:44

Birdie - 11lbs??? Yeouch! Is that what you're anticipating.

JFDI? Just f'ing Do It!!!!

Birdiebump · 04/04/2007 20:48

Emmy - I've never had a bump this size, the measurement is right on the top end of "normal" (apparently), my last one was 10lbs and the one before that 9.... So logically (esp if she is late as both my boys were) this one could be even more !!

So I figure if I can get her out a little early (39 weeks tomorrow) that could only be a good thing.....

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 20:50

No, don't think I'll be next, but wouldn't have thought I'll be too much longer.....

Eaten it!!!!? Emmymummy - you foulsome creature .....

...You don't think they would have done.....

....Do you!!?

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 20:55

Birdie - maybe it's all just fluid! . Aren't girl babies supposed to be smaller?

CD - well go on, where's it gone then?

maveta · 04/04/2007 20:58

anyone that´s bored.. could I get opinions on this?

Emmymummy · 04/04/2007 21:03

Maveta - that seems a bit strange, surely your employers should be sorting your mat cover's visa out?

Have got to go, am shattered & off to bed. Last day at work tomorrow - hurrah! Night all x

CaptainDippy · 04/04/2007 21:03

I don't know EM - I am too scared to look .....

Sexonslightlypuffylegs · 04/04/2007 21:03

Eddas, what a great analogy from your friends hv. I love that!

Ellie, I am so sorry that things didn't go so well today. Will be thinking of you tomorrow morning. I am sure all will be fine.

MIAMT, have a lovely evening and hope tomorrow is a better day.

All these first time mums are going to be mothers of only children at this rate! Sorry for the rants people; it isn't all doom and gloom!

Birdie, ouch!!!! That is all I can say!!!

Emmymummy, lovely to see you.

CD, hope your dd's are ok. Maybe it was just a fart and not a poo after all??

Right, gonna watch The Apprentice. Catch you later all. xx

maveta · 04/04/2007 21:05

Emmymummy - well yeah, you´d think it´s a very small company and while my boss is the owner and does all the boss stuff i.e. selling to clients/ bringing in the money, I kind of do everything else. But still, this seems a bit odd.

Have a fab last day of work!!!
