Okay I'm glad to hear I'm not alone in my lack of line! I'm also milk bottle white so maybe that's why @doomkittycleo! I've also got a red mark where my piercing was too @mummabubs, my belly button is still half sticking out too Hmm

Hip pain doesn't sound nice @doomkittycleo, do you have a yoga/birthing ball? I've found sitting on that for 30 mins a day has eased any back aches or hip aches I've had. Asking your MW about it sounds good though.

All my stretch marks with ds appeared in the last 4 weeks, sorry to say! Though there weren't many and they faded quickly. I can only see them now I'm pregnant again.

Had a very faint linea nigra last time but nothing so far this time. My belly button is getting darker though so maybe that's the beginning of it? I'm 31 weeks today.

TheLegendOfBeans · 13/08/2017 12:20

NO PLEASE DONT SAY THIS!!!

Bobbiepin · 13/08/2017 13:21

Yes to the half popped bellybutton and the piercing scar tissue. I have a bit of a line underneath my bellybutton even though I'm also milk bottle while but only up to what was my bellybutton. No stretch marks yet, I only got some very tiny pale ones on my thighs and hips during puberty so fingers crossed!

Cineraria · 13/08/2017 15:35

Sorry to tell you Legend but it's not safe even when the baby's out. I have no stretch marks at all from my last pregnancy and was singing the praises of the Weleda pregnancy oil, whilst feeling quite relieved that at least that part of the pregnancy went well, and then my milk came in and now little boob has a lovely set of horizontal nipple to cleavage stretch marks to match the ones big boob got during puberty! Just hoping that won't happen again this time. For reference, and to avoid being misleading, the term little is being used purely as a comparison; since that time, it's some way north of an HH cup but not quite a J!

I'm another pale one who doesn't even get a hint of a linea nigra but I do get freckled nipples (haven't been topless sunbathing, honest!) and also a tan when I'm pregnant. Never happens otherwise.

I don't have the little and often problem with wee but poo is a different matter. I can feel I need to go but can't and then the baby wriggles a bit and I have to fly up the stairs to avoid an accident. Yesterday, I came back downstairs and told DH "I just made it to the toilet in time to have a poo!" and DS (who is potty training currently) gave me a sticker for successful use of the toilet. I really felt I deserved it too! I've been eyeing his potty set up in the living room quite enviously.

amypanth · 13/08/2017 16:14

Thanks everyone! I also think maybe I could be drinking more too!
@GimbleInTheWabe it's more I go just incase, not because I feel I need to go.

PingusMistress · 13/08/2017 16:14

@Cineraria that made me smile about your DS giving you a sticker for doing a poo! I've had similar issues, I think sometimes baby is leaning on my intestines and causing a blockage, so I feel I need to go all the time but not much comes out Blush

I also don't have a linea negra or stretch marks yet and I'm also pale skinned so there may be something in that theory. I didn't get stretch marks last time either but I'm bigger this time so it could easily still happen. And I hate my half popped belly button, it sticks out like a third nipple under my clothes!

I'm very glad I'm not the only one having lower abdominal pain. I thought maybe mine was round ligament pain at first but now I'm pretty sure it is wind/constipation as it goes when I go! It feels a bit like early labour pain which worried me at first, but constant so I know it isn't.

greentreeseverywhere · 13/08/2017 16:32

amypanth my wee habits have changed!!! the babies head down this last 2 weeks and it's cha he'd since then. seems to be little and often. def not a uti but something has changed in that area xx

TippetyTapWriter · 13/08/2017 20:29

Haha cineraria that really made me laugh! Your ds sounds like a sweetie.

Baby is apparently head down at the moment and does seem to be squashing my bladder. I also get a sharp scratchy pain like something's scraping against the bone down there. Not nice!

doomkittycleo · 13/08/2017 21:23

@Tippety I wonder if the pain you're having is the same as mine. It felt like it was in the joint at first, but I have noticed it radiating under my bump when I blow my nose, almost like a pulled muscle.

Also fatigue has set in big time again today.

GimbleInTheWabe · 13/08/2017 23:21

Haha I love your poo sticker @Cineraria - congrats!

Random question: does one have to buy bedding for a pram carrycot/bassinet?! It just crossed my mind as I was getting a sheet for the Moses basket that maybe I'd need one for the carrycot too..

OP posts:
Cineraria · 14/08/2017 07:32

Definitely get some sheets @GimbleInTheWabe. Babies can be leaky little so and sos from both ends, to continue my lavatorial theme, and it's usually much easier to change a sheet than clean the mattress cover.

TippetyTapWriter · 14/08/2017 09:03

Yep sheets are a good idea! The Moses basket ones normally fit. I found the elasticated fitted ones to be easiest.

GimbleInTheWabe · 14/08/2017 09:53

Cool thanks ladies ~goes and spends more money on Amazon~

I can't believe I'm 33 weeks today Shock I'm officially going to start the batch cooking and freezing food for newborn days today and washing baby clothes too. Better start thinking about my hospital bag too, how has this pregnancy gone so quickly??!

mummabubs · 14/08/2017 12:11

I feel the same Gimble, I'll be 33 weeks on Saturday and last nights antenatal yoga class covered the myth of due dates being accurate in any way shape or form, so basically have it all prepared for 36 weeks onwards was the sort of message I took! That means 3 weeks to do all the things you've mentioned, I feel lucky in that we just finished the nursery yesterday so at least that's the big decorating job over and done with. (I say "we"... DH did 15 minutes of painting once and announced he was bored so I've done the entire thing solo over the last 2 weeks! 😂) It's getting exciting isn't it!!

mrsbumblebees · 14/08/2017 13:44

When is your growth scan boxesoffrogs? I have mine coming up on Thursday, fingers crossed all will be well, baby certainly very active at the moment which I am finding reassuring Smile

A lady from my NCT class unexpectedly had her baby on Saturday at 34 weeks while she was away on a camping holiday - eeeeek! Luckily mum and baby doing well, bit of a wake up call for me to get things organised though - especially car seat/hospital bag!!!

TippetyTapWriter · 14/08/2017 17:00

Another early one! Glad they're both ok. Hospital bag is half packed... trying to find a decent but cheap pj top or nightie thing for labour etc.

My lazy person tip for batch cooking or cooking at all after the baby comes is to use the frozen pre-cut veg. E.g. Onions, garlic, sweet potato, squash, peppers. Much quicker, and a lot easier to tip things in the pot than peel and chop with a newborn strapped to your front! Or a toddler clinging to your leg!

wapsmahoney · 14/08/2017 17:15

I went and did a primark run today for bits for my hospital bag!
I think I have all the hair bands/granny pants and cosy socks I will ever need!
Managed to pick up a couple of decent nightshirts for post delivery ... but really having trouble finding any dark PJ's ... they have some super nice ones in at the mo but they aren't in the most practical of post birth colours/patterns!
Anyone had any luck on that front?

Now I just need to find a bag to start putting it all in!

7 weeks to go ... where is time going?!

mummabubs · 14/08/2017 19:51

Meant to ask- those who don't know what they're having as it were... has anyone found a shop that sells nice unisex clothing? I've got a few bits but on the whole I've learnt that unisex seems to mean white or grey... and nothing beyond that?!! I've got one lemon coloured sleepsuit that I bought from John Lewis when I was 13 weeks pregnant but other than that it's all white and boring. I went into Asda the other day to see if I could find anything and discovered it was all either pink with fairies or blue with dinosaurs!!

ButterflyGem · 14/08/2017 20:25

@mummabubs I found a few nice unisex things in tesco but as you say mainly white or grey. Matalan had a few cream things too. I've only got a few bits as will buy pink or blue when baby here. I'm 32 weeks now can't believe how fast the last few months have gone! Need to get hospital bag sorted. My cousins daughter had her little girl 3 weeks early last Wednesday.
Also having a nightmare with the pram we were getting 2nd hand. We were meant to be collecting this weekend but she some pictures & it's really badly scratched & the basket bit at bottom is ripped also no carrycot part! So not gonna be much good maybe only as a spare later on. I know a girl selling an icandy though which is pristine she's only has it since last August but is now pregnant again due any day & needs a double, so I'll probably buy that off her.
Has anyone got a basic list of what you need in hospital changing bag for you /baby. At our antenatal class the list was endless.

Thanks xx

ButterflyGem · 14/08/2017 20:26

This was from the hospital just seems like a lot of stuff lol xx

10 babygrows? That many? I've got 3 vests and 3 babygrows ready and thought that was over doing it. Not sure if we actually bought 10! Everyone says not to bother buying so many first size/0-3 size.

ButterflyGem · 14/08/2017 21:35

@bobbypin that's exactly what I thought. Think I'll stick with 2-3 baby grows I haven't bought that many 0-3 either I thought people will buy clothes etc for gifts when they know the sex. xx

Cineraria · 14/08/2017 21:46

Next have some nice navy/white and black/ecru sleepsuit sets and a few colourful ones with animals too that are unisex and if you like brights, the Little Bird collection at Mothercare has quite a few items that look unisex to me. I should maybe add a disclaimer that DS wore nightgowns/bundlers until he he could sit up by himself, apart from when we needed him to go in the car seat, and there isn't a single item of his boy clothing that I wouldn't have used for a girl if this one had turned out to be female, so my idea of gender neutral might be lower than most!
