I have seen it is not recommended to let a baby sleep in a bouncy chair... but I have no idea why. My dd often sleeps in her bouncy chair, does anyone know why this is bad?

Babies should sleep flat because the slightly upright postion is not good for their spines and their lungs.

A short nap in a bouncy chair / car seat won't hurt occasionally, but I would put the baby in bed for any longer than 30 mins.
