Anyone else just got their BFP?

Hi all,
So I can hardly believe it but this morning I got my bfp. I'm very early at 14dpo and it's still quite faint so I don't feel ready just yet to go onto one of the due date boards. Just wondering if anyone else is in my position?

How are you @Iamchanging??? When is your scan booked for? Fingers crossed for you xx

RedPanda25 · 25/05/2017 13:14

@WeasleyWoman I really hope your blood tests go well and your HCG levels are still rising! Keep us posted please.

Iamchanging · 25/05/2017 13:28

Hi Red. I had my early scan this morning and it was amazing!!! Tiny little pole and yolk sac, and even the beginnings of a beating heart ❤️❤️I'm so relieved!

Oh my God that's incredible I'm so excited and happy for you! I can't wait for mine on 10th June. Feelings of nervous worry combined with excitement! Xx

P.s Weasley I really hope good results from tomorrow's blood test. When will you know?

Fabulous news iam well done you growing a human!
I will hopefully hear on Saturday if not Tuesday. If the first blood was negative though they will tell me tomorrow, I think.

Iamchanging · 25/05/2017 17:09

Hope everything is ok for you Weasley. These early days are so scary!

That's amazing news @Iamchanging, you must be so relieved!!

Got everything crossed for you @WeasleyWoman!

I'm having a stress of my own and worrying about something. My Dh went to Singapore in December and I thought we'd counted 6 months but he'd only been back 5 months so now I'm stressing about the Zika virus. I've spoken to my doctor friend and she said that the guidance is pretty arbitrary and the risk is very very low but I'm still stressing! Just feel so daft about it! Anyway sorry for the waffle!

Iamchanging · 25/05/2017 20:18

Hi Red. I was in Singapore in November and looked into it in huge detail. Back then there were only a handful of cases of Zika ever found there so I think it would be less than a million to one chance!

Thanks so much @Iamchanging, that's pretty much what my doctor said. Plus my DH doesn't even think he got bitten and I guess it was almost 6 months. Every thing is such a worry isn't it?

Iamchanging · 25/05/2017 20:26

I know! I just can't wait to get through the first trimester and calm down the worrying a bit. My current fear is that in the next three weeks I need to travel to the USA, Budapest, china, Japan and Korea. I'm sure that much time in the air can't be good for baby!!!

OP posts:
RedPanda25 · 25/05/2017 21:12

Wow that is a lot of flying! But I don't think it'll do any harm to baby but you might be knackered!!

Kittykat89 · 25/05/2017 22:46

You take care of yourself Iamchanging with all that travel. I am worried about travel with work over coming months but it's all within Europe so short flights. It's not damaging to the baby but stress is so just try to find time to relax! Red don't worry, I talked to my nurse about this before we starated trying as we had been to SE Asia on honeymoon but she said well within that kind of timescale (4-6months) you'd have symptoms. She said you really would know about it. Don't fret at all.

WeasleyWoman · 26/05/2017 17:31

The doctor rang today having got the results of the first blood test to say that the hormone levels were there but were very low so he is not sure what that means, it would all depend on my dates (which are a little uncertain) and so we have to wait until todays blood test comes through. Kind of annoying as it gives me no information at all -not his fault- but I would rather he had not rang and I could have forgotten about it a bit until tomorrow/Tuesday when I will at least know!

Iamchanging · 26/05/2017 19:29

How many days do you think you are Weasley? I really hope they double for you

OP posts:
WeasleyWoman · 26/05/2017 20:41

well the last day of my period was 27th April, so I was really shocked when I got a bfp 11days later. But maybe that was just a weirdly sensitive test and I was only just pregnant (it was a super faint line). Thing is if I hadn't got the bfp (and many since).I would have assumed the blood the other day was my period and would have grown suspicious when it was so short, poas and got a bfp this morning.... Arg! So in my head at the mo! So I could just be really early on or I could have had an early loss.. I just want to know!!

Iamchanging · 26/05/2017 21:02

Gosh that's so confusing! I suppose the main thing is that you keep getting the bfps so maybe it's just a slower growing bean. Everyone seems to be different. I got a bfn at 10dpo and was convinced I was out but now my hcg is going crazy after a super slow start. So they obviously all just progress at different speeds...

RedPanda25 · 26/05/2017 21:19

That's so confusing @WeasleyWoman, really hoping that your next results are really good!

WeasleyWoman · 27/05/2017 17:06

Doctor rang. He didn't have good news levels were still very low 94 when he said he would have expected 1000s. So that's it then back to ttc (which isn't so bad Wink ) but a shame a February baby would have been lovely.

RedPanda25 · 27/05/2017 17:10

So sorry @WeasleyWoman 😢 I was hoping for you! I hope next month is successful for you.

Iamchanging · 27/05/2017 17:17

I'm so sorry Weasley. Lots of baby bust for you this month!
How is everyone else doing? I don't know if it's because it's my first but it just doesn't seem real!

OP posts:
RedPanda25 · 28/05/2017 15:36

I'm feeling the same @Iamchanging, I think I'm still in shock about it all, apart from the vomiting every day - that makes it feel real 😳

Kittykat89 · 29/05/2017 22:36

Oh Weasley I'm so sorry. I know what you mean Iamchanging it doesn't feel that real to me either, feel like I'm in limbo between current life and what it will be in the future if everything goes okay with this baby. Especially as I haven't told many people at all so my friends and colleagues have no idea. I feel like I'm missing the biggest thing out when they ask what's been going on with me! I'm feeling constantly nauseous this last week Red but no actual vomiting. All smells make me feel sick as a dog and I can't even think about food without my stomach turning. Looking forward to week 12 in a way, though shouldn't be wishing this magical time away (is it okay if it is not always magical?) How's everyone's symptoms and how many people have you told about the pregnancy this early?

Iamchanging · 30/05/2017 08:31

I'm wishing it away kitty I have to admit. The minute I see that 12 week scan I think I will relax a bit but until then every day seems to drag by! I wouldn't say I'm nauseous, more completely disinterested in food (which is highly unusual for me normally!!!)
