Hello all :) so just found out I am pregnant again :) had an early miscarriage in January and fallen on again, which is amazing. I am very anxious this time around and don't want to get too excited, but can't help myself. I also found being on here last time was actually a great help when it was taken away from me as people are so kind and it helps to talk, so if it does happen again I am in the right place xx anyway happy times now :) eeeeeek. Anymore early Decembers.
If there is already a group tell me and I can join that. X

I'm feeling tired and hungry... No nausea yet, so I can't really justify snacking all the time.

I am enjoying not having to be too strict with my eating though!

Zaberwocky · 04/04/2017 10:37

Chocolate fear not, you can soon join the snacking club!

I'm trying really hard to stay sensible with eating, we'll be moving when I'm 7 months so it's probably going to be easier if my body isn't made entirely of biscuits 😂

Although all I can actually eat without feeling like I'm going to be sick is blueberries... And turkey bacon.

Millie2008 · 04/04/2017 10:53

Hey everyone,
Just had a really s* gp appointment. Had a couple of questions about migraine meds (have stopped all meds but am scared in case I have a migraine so just wanted some advice), and wanted a bit of reassurance/advice around my miscarriage anxiety; I.e. I know a few of you have mentioned early scans/blood tests and things. Anyway, she was really abrupt and dismissive; not reassuring at all- in fact the opposite. When I expressed my concerns she just snapped, "well just stop worrying. There's nothing you or we can do about it anyway, so there's no point worrying. If you have a miscarriage early it's because the embryo isn't viable"- in a kind of, "so why would you be worried" sort of way. Was so upset thought I was going to cry... 😥

imsuchafool12345 · 04/04/2017 10:54

Just about to start a lovely 7 hour shift of constant standing with Moody patients. Had ed sheeran playing while on way to work and started to cry -.- going to be one of those days

imsuchafool12345 · 04/04/2017 10:57

Theyre meant to be supportive not arseholes

Chamonix1 · 04/04/2017 11:02

Sorry you had such a negative experience Millie, in my experience some dr's are just arseholes. Book an apt with a different dr.
Say you've had cramps and want an early scan as the anxiety is giving you migraines. Grin
My dr didn't even know I needed my med put up, he asked me where I got my info from and proceeded to google whilst I was on the phone to him face palm moment on my end
You might get a totally different attitude from a different dr.

Chamonix1 · 04/04/2017 11:03

Imsuch I too cried at Ed sheetand album today!

Zaberwocky · 04/04/2017 11:12

Well Millie. Fuck her, and find yourself a new GP. There's no reason to speak to anyone like that about genuine concerns. Admittedly, there ISNT anything you can do about it, but she should be doing her best to reassure you! If you feel strong enough, I would make a complaint to the practice manager. But I know you're probably quite upset. Flowers

That's one thing I will say I've been really lucky with the last few years! For some reason forces doctors tend to be lovely!

Millie2008 · 04/04/2017 11:34

Thanks so much for the support guys. It means a lot actually and makes me think I'm not being an idiot. I've decided to make a complaint...

Zaberwocky · 04/04/2017 11:42

Of course you're not an idiot Millie. I just wish there was some sort of 'pregnancy after miscarriage' support group we could all go to where people understood the anxiety it creates!

And I think that's the right thing to do. If she spoke to you like that I'd dread to think how she'd treat someone experiencing a loss.

Millie2008 · 04/04/2017 11:54

Yes zabe, that's my concern too- would hate another woman to be dismissed in that way especially if she'd experienced a loss...

LisaPoouts · 04/04/2017 12:00

Hi all. I am back from holiday and back to work today. Booo. I have just had a horrible experience can anyone tell me if it is normal. I had an early miscarriage in January and it has really scared me that it might happen again. I have just had the strongest urge to poo and the most horrible cramp (period like pain) really low. I had really bad diarrhoea and my legs went all funny and I went a little dizzy. I rubbed my tummy and it seems to have passed with a a bit of water. No bleeding at all. Is it normal to have funny turns and cramps like that. So scared :( don't want to lose this one too xxx

glastogal · 04/04/2017 12:17

I would think the cramps are linked to the diorrhea Lisa. I have heard some women get a little 'lose' in pregnancy (I have gone the other way) so I wouldn't worry as long as it has passed and there is no ongoing cramps or bleeding. Hope you are feeling ok?

glastogal · 04/04/2017 12:17

And did you have a lovely holiday??

runthemileyourein · 04/04/2017 12:20

Hi Lisa I haven't had this exactly but both digestive problems and light-headedness (and fainting) are common problems in early pregnancy. I completely understand about being worried, I had a MMC in December and am on high alert for cramps and bleeding.Take care of yourself Flowers

ChocolateRaisin · 04/04/2017 12:37

Millie that is rubbish, definitely not what you needed to hear. A bit of understanding wouldn't have been too difficult to ask for.

Zabe I have secretly joined the snacking club Grin Admittedly today I've had a small handful of cashews and a small orange, I'm not exactly scoffing biscuits yet, I'm keeping healthy for as long as possible.

My ideal situation right now would be a big plate of large chocolate cookies and my bed... Not my desk at work!!

glastogal · 04/04/2017 12:38

Is it wrong that I am dreaming day and night of fish finger sandwiches??

Millie2008 · 04/04/2017 12:46

How strict are people being diet-wise. I'm trying my best to be healthy; but am allowing myself a treat each day- like ice-cream or chocolate. Do you think I should cut that out? Also, was a bit of a caffeine addict before found out I was pregnant, but have cut down to one cup of tea a day and hoping to cut to none by Thursday. If I do it too quickly I get awful withdrawal headaches... does that sound ok to people? I'm so paranoid about everything!!

glastogal · 04/04/2017 12:54

I have relaxed a little, having followed slimming world for the past 2 years, but am definitely trying to keep it healthy.. I think what you are doing sounds good Millie, I'm paranoid too!!

Zaberwocky · 04/04/2017 13:01

Millie honestly I've always been pretty good about what I eat. I just don't DO junk food as a rule, love snacking on fruit and veg, try to make everything from scratch, no alchohol/caffeine. But everyone is different! People have perfectly healthy babies with all sorts of diets, and I'm sure when you have your booking in appointment your midwife will advise you Smile

Try not to worry too much, a treat a day sounds like a lovely idea!

JCHatchling · 04/04/2017 13:10

Hi, I'd like to join please!

JCHatchling · 04/04/2017 13:12

glastogal · 04/04/2017 13:16

JCHatchling · 04/04/2017 13:17
