I had a restless night last night, not sure why. Then I woke up at like 4am and was absolutely starving!!!

Feeling exhausted and very sick this morning, I would do anything to go home from work and have a lay down. So tempted to go home sick, but my boss is off and I feel like I would be skiving... 😩

Seahawk80 · 24/11/2016 09:37

Rum I did read that as the placenta takes over there is less on a hormonal till on you - maybe that's it. Also my boobs are sore but not too bad and certainly not getting worse, if anything they're better. Hope this helps!!

danigrace · 24/11/2016 09:46

Me too Rum, belly much less twangy and boobs only really sore when I prod them to 'make sure' lol. I think the waking in the night is a good sign to reassure us though as it shows hormones are still all over!

Luci haha I did exactly the same last night! DH woke me trying to move me over a bit (which never usually wakes me), then I was properly awake bc I needed to get up for a wee & was thirsty & starving!!

OohNoDooEy · 24/11/2016 09:57

Me too Luci sooo tired but can't go home. I went out yesterday evening and think it was too much for me.

whyistherumgone · 24/11/2016 10:00

Thanks Seahawk and dani you've both made me feel better - haha dani i keep doing the boob prodding to make sure as well, we must look mad!

Luci ah I wouldn't consider it skiving if you're genuinely feeling crap, you probably won't be doing much if you're feeling awful anyway. Hope it eases up a bit. How far along are you now? Heading towards 9 weeks?

whyistherumgone · 24/11/2016 10:01

oooh I know what you mean, I was only out til 9 the other night and felt like I'd been out til 2am!

amorita · 24/11/2016 10:02

Morning.

I was on the restless train too last night. One those nights where you are not sure if you actually got any sleep at all almost like i was concious of being awake but i was actually probably asleep but a very light sleep. But feel knackered today. Least I have today off work [sorry to rub it in] so I am feeling sorry for myself on the sofa right now. Sorry if my post on here last night sent any alarm bells off. I can see why saying 'is anyone awake' would make it sound like i needed help but i'm fine. I actually just wanted to know if we are still allowed to use bleach to clean round the home? My Cousin seems to think that we are not during the first trimester?

Seahawk80 · 24/11/2016 10:28

Rum and Dani I do the boob poke too! They are probably just sore from all the poking 😂

Popularcontrarian · 24/11/2016 10:33

I'm a regular boob poker but mine aren't sore! Argh. I know they were sore at this stage with DS.

Anyone here with DC breastfeed for 6 months or more?? I wonder is it because my boobs are different after bf...there's more room for them to grow now...? I miss my pre-preg boobs!

Still have the reflux so I must be still pregnant. I'd trade sore boobs for sicky burps any day.

DrewOB0 · 24/11/2016 10:50

Morning all!
Can I join you? Due 23rd of July.
Anyone else with terrible hip pain? What can I do to make it better?

LuciBee231015 · 24/11/2016 10:53

Yep I'll be 9 weeks on saturday. It's gone so fast!

I keep waking up starving! I woke up on Monday morning about 5am and was literally in pain I was that hungry! I went downstairs sat on the sofa and ate some belvita biscuits and then went back to bed until 7! Ha! Nutter!

My boobs are still tender but no where near what they were in weeks 4-5. I get shooting pains in them every now and then and I think I've grown a cup size, and my nips are bigger and darker! 🙊

Still feel sick every morning, fingers crossed that goes as I get closer to 12 weeks.

whycanineverthinkofausername · 24/11/2016 12:19

Drew -I've got hip and leg pain terribly! I told my doctor and she told me physio! Like I can fit that in Hmm

My boobs have calmed down, they're still slightly sore but nothing like they were. I'm a prod-er too!

whycanineverthinkofausername · 24/11/2016 12:21

Luci- that sounds like me every night! I wake up at 3 like clockwork and need to eat before I feel sick. I've been signed off for two weeks (due to my mental health) which hasn't helped anything at all so I just sleep on the sofa in the day, a vicious circle for me.

Stuckinstressville · 24/11/2016 13:14

Waves... can i join?
Am incognito with a new user name... too many know me here but i have an annoying addiction to ... and ! so might give me away.
DC2 on its way poss due 27th July, i say poss., i have odd cycles and am only 5 weeks.

I was expecting it to take months or even a year due to health issues and Dr warnings, and the fact i just returned to work post Mat leave. Oops.

Bricking telling work when the time comes.

Anyone else cutting it fine on the age range? My DC1 will be 20/21 months. Feels that is close in age.

CatRash · 24/11/2016 13:14

Hi everyone

I'm a boob prodder too (my own...not other people's!)

I also woke at 5am hungry and thirsty and had to get up for a drink.

Had my first real slap of nausea on the drive in this morning. Felt like I was going to vomit down myself but opened the window and blasted myself with the cold air which seemed to fix it.

I have now put a 'morning sickness' emergency kit in the car which consists of a carrier bag, wet wipes and a bottle of water. Just in case.

Stuckinstressville · 24/11/2016 13:17

Oh and i took the test the day after i sobbed at watching the xmas ad with the robins( cant recall the brand)on mute. Still sobbed. So unlike me, heart of ice normally! Odd Odd behaviour that only previously reared its emotional head last time i was pregnant.

Took a fr test on CD 24 of a normal 34-39 day cycle. Swore as was shocked, as only been trying since June/July , well not trying per se, but not not trying expecting it to take ages.

CatRash · 24/11/2016 13:44

Stuck - it's the Waitrose ad. I think it got me a day or two before I tested and I don't ever cry. Alright I didn't cry but I got a tear in my eye and that alone got me thinking.

I'm not looking forward to telling work either. I just got promoted so imagine they'll be a bit peed off as they've had to made a few changes following my promotion. Oh well - not really my problem!!

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 24/11/2016 14:04

I find my nausea is worse when I'm hungry, so I've got a box of crackers in my beside drawer 😂 I woke up at 3am feeling really sick, quick cracker and I was sorted and back to sleep.

I'm not looking forward to telling work either, I'm starting a new job on the 5th December so I can't imagine they'll be overly impressed with me! Hey ho, I didn't think I could get pregnant!

whyistherumgone · 24/11/2016 14:05

Not sure if I just had my first experience of sickness. Went for a walk, had to throw my coffee away as it was making me feel odd, and then got in and spent about ten minutes retching although wasn't actually sick and didn't feel properly sick, just a bit wrong and funny. It seems to have passed now....shall see how it goes.
I feel so much sympathy for everyone who has got it badly

amorita · 24/11/2016 14:10

I've had morning sickness since the start of last week. Leaves me feeling groggy for the rest of the day too. Damson is that cracker a proven trick for sickness or is it something you just stumbled across at 3am? This is why i want to know if we are allowed to use bleach during the first trimmester. I would prefer to have a clean loo when i'm getting up close and personal with the loo with sickness Confused

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 24/11/2016 14:19

I don't think there are any proven tricks. I can't tolerate warm or hot food or if anything which is too flavoursome at the moment or I start vomiting. So plain crackers fit the bill of a quick snack that doesn't set me off.
I don't see the issue with bleach, as long as you ventilate the room and maybe wear some rubber gloves if your skin is sensitive.

whyistherumgone · 24/11/2016 14:35

I just ate something and feel a lot better. Wonder if it's because I've been eating pretty regularly but today wasn't hungry at all so just had breakfast and nothing else.

whyistherumgone · 24/11/2016 14:38

Also, hi Stuck congrats :)

amorita · 24/11/2016 14:39

Its more heavy meals for me. I have to eat light at the moment. I've been munching a lot of rocket lettuce and salad and fruit. I've eaten so much fruit the last week. Dairy products not good for me at the moment.

Apparently its the bleach fumes. I can only guess the loo may have the bleach fumes when we go and pee Blush I'm only squirting it round the rim so its not going to touch my skin. Are you still using it?

whyistherumgone · 24/11/2016 14:40

I was at the beginning but have switch to a natural cleaner from my local health store which is actually really good. Might be worth investigating if you're worried?
