Any joiners?

This will be dc2. Edd of July 2nd.

Not one symptom yet. Going to enjoy that and hope it lasts!

I'm not sure about the shred either sand I'm going to speak to my midwife on Friday I think. I was doing really well on it so don't want to stop but also don't want to do anything risky either.

BrioLover · 23/11/2016 07:15

Does anyone else find their symptoms come and go? I've woken up without nausea this morning and it's freaking me out a bit!

Miami81 · 23/11/2016 07:30

Brio - I also am symptomless this morning. Sore boobs are gone as is vague nausea, I'm not even hungry. I feel it is going to be a long day......
Everything I have read suggests they do come and go as your body gets used to the hormones! I am hoping that's the case anyway.

whyistherumgone · 23/11/2016 08:06

I don't have many but they definitely fluctuate - I had no bloating yesterday for instance and was starving instead of having no appetite but back to no appetite today

My boobs also seem to fluctuate in soreness - Saturday was really bad but today they seem slightly better - they'll probably get worse throughout the day or be bad again tomorrow.

it was worrying me but I'm trying to relax and tell myself worrying won't stop anything going wrong so I'm now trying not to over analyse everything - fluctuating or absent symptoms is a tricky one though because you can't help but notice it!

BrioLover · 23/11/2016 08:21

Thank you for the reassurance! With DS1 everything was consistent, although not bad at all, so it was a bit weird waking up this morning...

tatatetelle · 23/11/2016 08:44

The nausea definitely comes and goes for me too, so do the mild cramps and sore boobs, I'm sure it's perfectly normal!

Knittinggurl · 23/11/2016 09:13

Those who are being very sick - I really sympathise and please do excuse my minor moan but....Ugh I was sick last night for the first time.... 7+2. I have been increasingly nauseous over the past couple of weeks but this was the first time I followed through as it were. Not very nice. I am hoping it was a blip as I took my pregnacare plus on an empty stomach at bedtime and they make me feel nauseous at the best of times. I am switching back to my boots folic acid until the nausea has gone. Is anyone else taking pregnacare and if so how are you finding it?

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 23/11/2016 09:53

Morning ladies.
I had my second scan at the EPU this morning, all the vomiting has been worth it, there's a little grey blob with a heartbeat measuring 7+5!

tatatetelle · 23/11/2016 10:53

Congrats Damson, that's so exciting! What's next for you?
I have a second scan at the ACU tomo at 6+5, I'm getting excited/nervous!!

danigrace · 23/11/2016 11:15

I have been lurking all along and would like to tentatively join you if I may.

Been trying for over a year (bad anovulatory pcos, always been otherwise healthy with bmi of 21) but finally managed to get my bfp with use of natural medicines. Still feeling wary though as the miscarriage rate for pcos is much higher than 'normal'.

DC1, 5+1, edd 25/07/17

Boobs have gone bigger and harder, sore to touch & jog (even with a good sports bra!), and have been having a little nap more days than not. But no sickness or digestive issues of any kind yet. Do have a very sensitive sense of smell which led to me disinfecting the recycling bin the other day...
And the past 2 days every now and then there's been dark brown streaks in my discharge when I wipe which has got me on edge a bit...

Great news re. the scan Damson.

Thumbs I echo what everyone else is saying in that hopefully you won't need any. Just make clear at your appt that you'll be declining all unless it's suspected something's wrong and it's absolutely necessary. My sis didn't have any, just bc she fancied the more natural route, she went over by a week and a bit but still had a natural homebirth in a pool just bc that was her choice.

whyistherumgone · 23/11/2016 11:41

I thought of you this morning Damson couldn't remember if it was today or tomorrow you were having your scan so I'm so pleased to log on and see you saw the heartbeat! That must have been amazing, congrats, so happy for you. Hope the sickness isn't too bad today.

Hi dani welcome! Congrats on your BFP! Hopefully this will all go well for you - a few of the posters upthread have said a bit of pinky/brown discharge is normal but if you're worried why don't you phone your GP or midwife just to be on the safe side? I can imagine it would be quite a worry to see it, especially when you are already anxious because of pcos.
On the sympton side, I'm 6 + 1 and only had the sore boobs and tiredness with a bit of bloating thrown in, I'm coming to realise everyone is different and reacts to pregnancy in different ways, so there's no real right or wrong.

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 23/11/2016 12:01

Thanks ladies Smile the relief is immense. I need to call the midwives this afternoon and refer myself back into their service and arrange my booking appointment.
dani give your midwife a call just to settle your nerves.

Popularcontrarian · 23/11/2016 12:05

Great news Damson Smile
welcome dani, I'd definitely ring your mw just to have your mind put at ease.

No symptoms here today and also a bit worried about it. Wishing illness on yourself has to be the weirdest thing about early pregnancy.

LuciBee231015 · 23/11/2016 12:54

Damson sooooooo happy or you!!! X

GreedyDuck · 23/11/2016 13:02

Great news Damson!

I finally filled in my self referral form for UCLH this morning and sent it off. Beginning to believe that I might actually have another baby.

rhodes2015 · 23/11/2016 14:21

Great news damson!!! Hope everyone's ok!

I had my booking in appointment today. Scan booked for 7/12.
I have been referred to a consultant as I had 2 lletz treatments to treat stage 1 cervical cancer when I was 25. I think they measure your cervix to see if it's competent and if not they monitor you more closely or have a macdonald stitch.... urgh don't fancy that!! But fingers crossed it won't be a problem.

Any body else had a lletz treatment in the past?
Midwife was lovely!

Seahawk80 · 23/11/2016 14:24

So glad other peoples symptoms come and go. I'm finding it really worrying! Just need to relax and wait til the next scan. Feel like I'm living my life in 2 week sections!

So relived for you Damson!

whyistherumgone · 23/11/2016 14:44

Seahawk I could have written that, if I let it my anxiety gets really bad about it and I start just thinking of all the worst case scenarios.
I feel like I'm living in a weird kind of limbo until our ten week scan and have pretty much convinced myself that it's going to be bad news....based on absolutely nothing.

Hi rhodes I can't help with any treatment info I'm afraid but hope your booking appointment went well. Did you have any say over when your scan is or were you just given a date?

Popularcontrarian · 23/11/2016 15:01

rhodes I had lletz done a few years ago and I had no problems with cervix length with DS. Having it done twice might make a bit of a difference, but I'm crossing my fingers for you that it won't! I think the stitch thing is quite straightforward, I remember worrying about it at the time and read up on it.

rhodes2015 · 23/11/2016 15:05

Why....yes I could have picked but I just let her book it for 2 weeks today. She literally just phoned the scanning place in front of me there and then .... thought I'd have to wait for a letter to come through for some reason.

Seahawk80 · 23/11/2016 15:10

Thanks rum glad I'm not the only one convincing myself of doom and gloom! I keep thinking of all the healthy babies that my friends have had to try to stay positive! When is your scan?

rhodes2015 · 23/11/2016 15:15

Thanks for reply popular, that's great to hear! From what I can remember I only had the second lletz as a precaution as I hadn't quite got clear margins from the first lletz so I'm hoping the second wasn't too deep.

crombanna · 23/11/2016 15:44

Damson, that's absolutely awesome!! I'm so pleased for you.

Arggghhh. We're all having the same worries I see. I have been feeling really happy and positive for the last 6 weeks or so and on Tuesday night just got this awful sense of foreboding. My breasts are less tender, I'm sleeping ok now, the "pre-queasiness" has gone. I've convinced myself it's all over, it's never going to happen etc. Last night (at work..) I got some brown tinged discharge with a tiny bit of pink. I had about 20 seconds of crying and then pulled myself together. I know logically it's totally normal to have bleeding, and that symptoms come and go...but I've suddenly found myself miserably waiting for it all to end.

I suspect working nights isn't helping. That always makes me gloomy..!

Sorry for the moan. It's good to have people in the same boat.

crombanna · 23/11/2016 15:48

Oh and just to not be totally self+ obsessed: Rhodes I've looked after lots of people with LLETZ procedure and it often has no effect all. Some people say it makes the labour quicker but I haven't seen that myself (sorry!).

Becky and fellow exercisers...I am running occasionally, lots of walking, swimming and body weight exercises at the moment. It helps to get my mind off the spiral of worry! When I was having a bit of queasiness, it really seemed to help as well.

whyistherumgone · 23/11/2016 16:39

it's on 20th December Seahawk feels like aggges!

Rhodes thanks - I'm just curious and not sure what to expect at my appointment in Friday.

Crombanna I feel the same but the fact we are all on here with the same worries is actually really reassuring, not that I like that everyone is anxious but it makes me feel that actually way we are reacting is all completely normal.

Working nights must be tough I know I couldn't handle it right now!

Have a great evening everyone - I went out last night and managed to order all
my own drinks - soda water and lime "gin and tonic" and non alcoholic ginger beer which I poured at the bar and said was crabbies if anyone asked. I just made sure to drink slow so I kept missing rounds and got to go up and get my own.
