Hello waves, can I join please?
I got my BFP yesterday and I'm about 6 weeks. I had an early MC at the beginning of October so it's a bit hard to calculate how far along I am. My DS1 was 3 in September. I've felt really nauseous for the past week and my sense of smell has gone mental. Today I feel feel bloated and sort of tight across my stomach. I think I'm going to book a private early scan due to my MC worries, and also because a 12 week scan would literally take me to Christmas weekend. I'd love to be able to tell my family at Christmas so would like everything confirmed before then hopefully. Does anyone know how many weeks is the earliest that it doesn't have to be an internal scan?

LuciBee231015 · 13/11/2016 22:10

I'm 7+1 and starting feeling sooooo sick as soon as I open my eyes in the morning since Wednesday. And a bit rough all day actually... I haven't actually been sick yet tho... Just a lot of wretching 😷

DamsonGinIsMyThing · 13/11/2016 23:18

Ooh lots of new people, how exciting!
Hope we're all toddling along ok.
My nausea has kicked in with a vengeance tonight, always useful when I'm at work Hmm

parsnips82 · 13/11/2016 23:30

Hello!
Super excited to be joining this post as I finally got my bfp at 10dpp. Now 15dpp so hoping this one will stick after a mc in September!
I am going for an early scan in 2 weeks at my local epu as I am 35 so they count me high risk!. Hope everyone is feeling ok and looking forward to sharing all the stages! Smile

pennyj29 · 14/11/2016 07:57

Hello everyone I'm just joining (this forum thing is all new to me)
I am approx 7 weeks, won't be sure until my scan as I have polycystic ovaries so can't accurately track with my period dates being so irregular.
Been trying for 2 years after having a miscarriage at 12 weeks so just trying to relax and not stress (easier said than done)

herewegoonceagain · 14/11/2016 09:27

Hello, hope you don't mind me joining!

I can't believe I'm joining another antenatal group. Just found out last night that the answer to 'am I late or due next week' as I couldn't remembered my LMP is indeed that I am late and very much pregnant.

This will be baby number 5 Confused

We are very nervous but also excited - this wasn't planned and our youngest is only 17 months and I'm not sure how we'll cope but it's good news really! I will try and read through the rest of the thread now. I really thought that we were done Blush

herewegoonceagain · 14/11/2016 09:33

Oh and EDD is July 21

thumbsupforthesixbillion · 14/11/2016 10:14

Okay I officially a hormonal paranoid mess. TMI alert but this morning I had a small amount of blood when I wiped. I've spent the morning freaking out that I'm bleeding and have further investigated... I have a spot down there which is bleeding when I touch/wipe near it Blush.

LuciBee231015 · 14/11/2016 11:29

Haha! Thumbsup that made me giggle!

I feel like I've run a marathon today sooooo tired and feel like I'm about to projectile vomit at any moment 😷

GreedyDuck · 14/11/2016 11:49

I'm at the stage where I am waking up at 4/5am every morning, and constantly starving but with no actual idea what I want to eat. Such fun.

Dottyb21 · 14/11/2016 11:49

hey ladies - I have my booking in appointment and she has actually dates me as 9 weeks ... so I could be a June member - so I hope you dont mind me sticking with you guys - I have my first scan on the 11th December so hopefully will have a better idea then. Have any of you guys had your booking in appt yet? Just stressing out a bit about my blood test results - not that there should be any course for concern but I am a natural born worrier ... the midwife said they would only be in touch if there was any problems - just wondered when you think would be a safe time period for me to stop worrying :) xxx Hope everyone is ok xxx

Popularcontrarian · 14/11/2016 12:02

I haven't contacted the maternity hospital yet. I've been dithering about whether I want to go back to the same consultant. I had a really rough birth last time and I think she'd look after me (was private last time, but will be public this time)...but...I don't know if the trust is there. Going to sit on it for another few days as I'm only 5 weeks.

Feeling manky here, but it's just reflux. Gross sicky burps all day long.

GreedyDuck · 14/11/2016 12:06

In my experience Dotty, if there is a problem they contact you very quickly. If they are fine they don't bother. However if you want reassurance you can always give them a call.

I did occasionally do a bit of chasing, but that was because my care moved to and fro between mw led and consultant led a few times and things fell between the cracks sometimes.

pennyj29 · 14/11/2016 12:09

I'm with you LuciBee done my normal school run/ shopping and feel like I have done a marathon and can't decide if I want to eat everything in the house or throw up

rhodes2015 · 14/11/2016 15:13

Congrats new bfps!
Dotty, how exciting you have your scan date, my booking in appointment isn't until 23/11, looking forward to getting a date for my scan.
Hope everyone is doing ok!
I've had nausea since Friday along with headaches but no actual sickness (yet).

Penny85 · 14/11/2016 16:51

Hi everyone, got my booking appointment today for the 29th which means I will have to tell work soon, not looking forward to that as if you tell one person something, everyone finds out. Still not feeling particular ill yet but I am only 5 weeks 4 days so hopefully thats normal?

Sasspop · 14/11/2016 16:57

Lucibee and penny me 2, I am exhausted today and haven't done a fat lot.. I've just had a nap! I was also an emotional mess last night (just like when I'm due on) I'm guessing that's just the hormones and is normal.. Anyone else had this?

user1479143035 · 14/11/2016 17:13

Hi Ladies , I got My BFP on Friday I'm 5 + 3 . I had what I think was a chemical pregnancy last month , 2 days after BFP I started to spot and then bleed , then BFN . I started reflexology after my chemical and on Wednesday before my BFP she said that there seems to be a swelling on my foot & that it would be unethical for her to say if I was Preg or not but to treat my body as though I was. I'm obviously anxious this time round as I have never been pregnant before so every cramp has me worried sick. Today ive had lots of loose bm (sorry tmi) I'm currently extremely exhausted and I feel like my boobs have grown so much. Praying for a healthy 9months

GreedyDuck · 14/11/2016 17:39

Can you not just tell work that you've got a GP or dentist appt Penny?

I'm going to try and make it to January before telling my team, but may have to reassess if I get morning sickness this time. Luckily I work from home a couple of days a week, so will be napping as much as I can then and recharging for the days I'm in the office.

Sasspop I've been weeping like a tap all weekend, anything can set me off!

Kitsandkids · 14/11/2016 18:49

Well I felt a bit stupid at the docs today. I told her I thought it might be the menopause as the tests say the menopause can give a false positive, and I've been trying for so long I thought it was more likely that than pregnancy! She basically laughed at me (albeit kindly) and said that if the tests say I'm pregnant (I've done five now!) I almost definitely am! I have to drop in a urine sample in the morning though for them to test. She also said the little bit of blood sounded like implantation bleeding and nothing to worry about. So I'm feeling cautiously optimistic!

Penny85 · 14/11/2016 19:02

GreedyDuck I wish I could but it against staff policy to go to drs or dentist during working day unless it is emergency- I work in a secondary school.

I told my boss only because he'll need to do a risk assessment, but he's good at keeping secrets!
I suppose I should book a doctors appointment soon🤔

So anyway, today I've been proper shitty lol. Any little thing is winding me up! Had McDonald's and it made me nauseous too 😢😲

GreenRedBlue · 15/11/2016 08:18

Hello and congrats to all the newbies!

I had my first bout of nausea at the weekend, it took me a while to realise that's what it must be as I thought it was something I'd eaten first!

Also have come down with a stinking cold, and not being able to take anything is a real struggle with a toddler to run around after. Anyone else want to join me in feeling sorry for myself?!

LuciBee231015 · 15/11/2016 09:55

I started coming down with a cold yesterday and with sickness as well I feel 👌🏻

I just keep telling myself it's all worth it, it's all worth it!

Wish I could go home from work and nap tho, finding it hard being chatty etc to people. Just want to tell them to go away!
